You can build your bowl with rice, lentils, veggies, falafel, and more — they even used to have sweet potatoes that were absolutely heavenly. Everything is super fresh, and they have plenty of vegan dressings to choose from. Really great go-to option when you want something quick, healthy, and flavorful.“

“Just off of pleasant hill on Breckinridge, you’ll find the gem that is Damasco. Duluth has tons of food options, covering pretty much every ethnicity and niche, so I was a bit stuck today with decision paralysis. Then, I saw Damasco and thought “this is close and I don’t have to deal with Pleasant hill.”

I got their lunch special, a chicken shawarma and kofta sandwich. After the first bite, I knew that out of all the restaurants I could have picked in the general area, I made the best choice possible.

Food is fresh, tastes amazing, priced very fairly, and you feel great afterwards. The restaurant is clean, beautiful, has good atmosphere, and great service. The bread was perfectly crispy, the meats were flavorful and juicy, and all the extra bits that go into the sandwich just elevates it to another level. Easily is gonna be my staple goto place for lunch!“

What makes them special?
1. Fresh made pita bread, made in house in a huge oven on premises. And, you can watch the entire cooking process. Not only is the bread made fresh, but it is CHEAP.
2. Fresh made falafel to order. The falafel and fries are made as soon as you order, so let them know up front.
3. Dips are delicious. Regular and spicy hummus, and babaganoush are all insanely delicious and under $5 for a tub. Pairs perfectly with their bread.

My only complaints is that meals are served in a flimsy bowl that sucks all of the moisture out of the hummus. I'm also not a fan of their reheated meats and slop-bowl serving style that America loves these days. Too bad, because the meat quality and flavor is good, but once it's reheated so many times, the beef, chicken, lamb, loses it's appeal.

The ordering counter is crammed into the corner of the restaurant and is very stressful to maneuver if there is more than one customer. They seem to do mostly takeaway business, even though the dining room is spacious.“

“We drove 2 hours to go eat here and it was worth it. The food tasted amazing. We ordered about 7 different dishes and all of them had their own taste. There is a bunch of parking available outside. I will go there again.
