“Every time I’m in a new area, I refuse to eat big chain restaurants, and I’m so happy I have that rule because this place is phenomenal! I don’t know what kind of vinaigrette they have but even the salads are out of this world and the lamb sandwich is a must get for your first token experience!! The food came out as fast as the service AND it was still hot by the time I got back to the apartment! Both gentlemen there were super kind and on point, the one taking my order gave me a good laugh too! Five stars is genuinely not enough 100/10 🙌 also the to tzatziki sauce is clearly in-house made be sure to get one“

“One of the best beef/lamb shawarmas I’ve had in ATL. I had it with the Zhoug and tzatziki. I’ve read other reviews and my only suggestion is that they should make sure that the food is always fresh - perhaps, how I had it today…and, lower the price a bit so that you’re not walking out with a $20 shawarma. I’ll definitely be back….“

I came to the Grecian Dunwoody one day to pick up an order for my husband and was in a joking move that day. So, I said to Andy (worker) after placing my order. "I do not have any $$ to pay for it. Do you know this "outstanding young man" had sympathy for me and pulled out his personal credit card and offer to pay for my order. Ahhhh. I could have cried. WHO DOES THIS? Andy does this! I wish, I wish we had more workers like Andy in these fast-food places, not to pay for the customer's order, but just an overall, great young fellow, humble, caring and I hope when I go back that he still there, just to say thanks for being a GREAT Person & Worker at Grecian Gyro Dunwoody. “I went for the first time on a Wednesday night for a solo dinner. It it was a pretty dimly lit restaurant. The music was pretty loud and it was kind of hard to hear the waiter. It gives the look of an elegant restaurant with the typical Atlanta vibes(loud music, hookah, bottle girl shorts-onesie attire, and automatic 20% gratuity). The service was amazing and my server was nice so I did not mind the gratuity. The beef rigatonni pasta was really good, very creamy and the meat was tinder. The pasta does have a kick to it due to the jalepenos. The lychee martini was so delicious and the french 75 was pretty good too. I opted out of the hookak because it was $50, too pricey to me when I already spent over $100 on everything else. I think this would be a great spot during happy hour.

There is no free parking unless you park on the street. You park in a business complex so I am not sure why you pay $5 to self park and $20 for valet, it's all the same parking lot. This is normal for a lot of places in Atlanta but it is one of my hugest pet peeves and it seems greedy to me. I will more than likely not return because of it. I have never heard of a business justification as to why we pay to park in the parking lots. The cushions fall pretty low when you sit down but this wasnt a big deal. Lastly, the music was so loud this would not be a great date idea. I would probably order food to go(If there are not crazy fees). I would have given it 5 stars if it wasnt for the music and parking situation.“

“This was our first time at Banu, and we weren't sure what to expect, but we were pleasantly surprised! Our server, Sebastian, was incredibly friendly and helpful, and both the food and ambiance were amazing.

We started with the hummus appetizer, and then shared the chicken shawarma, the falafel plate (which was perfectly moist and delicious), and the shrimp plate. As a side, we ordered the Persian berry rice. Every single dish was fantastic and perfectly seasoned.

While they don't have their liquor license just yet (they've applied), you can go literally right next door to grab a bottle of wine. They charge a small corkage fee, which actually works out to be less expensive than buying wine directly from a restaurant anyway. We can't wait to return!“

“This is easily the best Cava in the metro Atlanta area. I've gone to several Cavas in Atlanta (Buckhead, Roswell, Sandy Springs, etc.) and none of them come close to the level of attentiveness and food quality that this location offers. I've been coming here for quite some time now (at least 1.5 years) and am always pleased with the outstanding service. The environment is clean, the staff is hospitable and gracious and the food is always on point.
The General Manager, Yoel, is one of the most genuinely good people I've ever had the pleasure of dealing with in any establishment I've frequented. He always greets me by name with a smile and he affords this same level of delightful interaction with every customer I see him interact with. He's also always hard at work leading his team by example whether its helping serve customers, working in the kitchen or sweeping the dining room. He's the kind of person i would hire in an instant if I had my own business, based off what I've seen from him.
They are doing an excellent job at this location and it shows by the frequent long lines and satisfied customers. This Cava is what every fast casual restaurant should strive to be like.“

Cons - OUTRAGEOUS prices. 6 shrimp and a pile of fries were $30, which is steep enough, and then they charged an automatic 20% gratuity. Felt like the gratuity was our punishment for choosing a spot that had only like 5 other patrons at midnight on a Saturday. Also the DJ/music was awful - just random, different songs until he left at 1 AM.
If not for the prices, I would be back to try the salmon which was $32 but after the gratuity would be nearly a $40 plate!“

“I just experienced this cafe for the first time and the food is AMAZING ! I enjoy the clearly labeled vegetarian options and possible allergens being easily viewed on the menu. I ordered the falafel gyro with stuffed grape leaves as a side and I thoroughly enjoyed every bite of it. You can taste the meal has a recipe that’s been perfected through time, love and care. This house made falafel will be getting ordered by me again and I am excited to try out the entire menu on my return visits !“

“Me and my girlfriend went in today right when they opened. We tried the chicken shawarma, it was absolutely worth it. The portion was HUGE. When I heard our food was ready and saw the plate, I was like, “WOWWW, that’s a big shawarma!” It barely even fit on the plate.

While we were waiting for our food, I actually saw the owner bringing in fresh ingredients that had just been delivered. Seeing that right away gave us a good feeling about the place, and it was a nice sign that they care about quality and freshness. After tasting the food, it definitely showed.

The chicken was flavorful, tender, and cooked perfectly. The shawarma also had lettuce and tomato in it and the French fries were crispy and paired really well with the meal. Everything tasted fresh, and the portion size definitely made the price feel justified.

The service was also very good. Everyone was nice, polite, and welcoming from the moment we walked in. The restaurant has a casual, comfortable atmosphere that makes it easy to sit down and enjoy your food.“
