“Omg! Every time I’m here I love it more! Absolutely the BEST food, service, people. It’s all 10 stars! I used Suthern Cluck to cater a meal for 48 people (my son’s theater group) and it was raved about for weeks! They are the best at all they do and they do it with a superior execution! “When we first came to recess we sat at the bar and we met Dorsey who was the bartender. Who turned us into regulars quickly. Her balance of checking in and giving space while throwing quips is something that has been lost in nearly every restaurant I attend. The art of service is something that is alive and well in Recess. So now my wife and I have been go to Recess every Monday for the last 2-3 years. It is just our spot at this point and it’s hard to remember a time before it. Gainesville wouldn’t be the same to me without Recess. If you like the look of the menu stop in, if you don’t, ask about the specials. You will find something to enjoy. We will see you Monday.“

“We have really enjoyed coming to Tupelo Honey since they opened in Gainesville. The shrimp and grits are to die for! The chicken is also very good! Jasper was our server this last time and he is an excellent server who is quick, attentive, and friendly! We’ll definitely be back!“

“GF chicken salad was delicious! I had Fancy Nancy and Cranberry Kelly with lettuce for wraps. I also tried the broccoli salad, which was good but a little sweet. The staff was helpful and friendly. They took time to explain the menu and Gluten-free choices. The restaurant was clean and inviting.“

I recently enjoyed a fantastic lunch with my son at Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen. The friendly host quickly seated us, and our server promptly arrived with warm, buttery croissants and took our drink order.
We started with delicious cheese curds, and our main courses were equally impressive. My son's chicken and shrimp dish was a hit, while I indulged in the renowned country-fried steak with a generous side salad and creamy mashed potatoes.
The portions were incredibly generous
– the side salad could have easily been a meal on its own!
The combination of excellent food, attentive service, and affordable prices made for a truly enjoyable dining experience. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a satisfying meal.“

“I love this place but someone isn’t checking orders. I always get missing items when I order delivery, today I ordered DoorDash and couldn’t select bacon egg and cheese as an option so I ordered the toppings on the side and I received the biscuit but no toppings 🙁“

“My husband and I celebrated our 5 year anniversary at Antebellum last night. Sean, our waiter, was phenomenal and personable. We have delicious drinks and never a half full cup of water went unnoticed. We had the sweet potato soup, which was actually the most delicious soup we both have ever tasted. I mean, it was our favorite dish of the evening. We also did the burrata salad - fantastic. Both were very well balanced. For the entrées, we had the braised beef bolognese with goat cheese and it was all things comfort and elegant. Second entree was the wild Alaskan Halibut, which had a lemon risotto and chili sauce that helped to cut the fattiness of the dish. Both were very, very good. Good portions. We were stuffed, but had to get the toffee pudding. DELICIOUS. Will be back! Also looking forward to trying their pizza and brunch spot.“
