The atmosphere is very chill and neat. It was not too busy but was loud ( acoustics, I guess)The ambiance and design of the place is super cool. Not your traditional steak house.Drinks are on point. Dirty martini ? with blue cheese … yumm. Palmetto cheese fried green tomato sliders delivered.Steak, although look’s delish, was overcooked ( we ordered mid rare( it was a well done). Overall- I would recommend!
Parking: Hit or miss… if you find the spot around the square you are lucky. If not there is a large parking garage close by.

Great drinks, fun atmosphere have a night life area upstairs! But the food is the best. I believe one of the owners personally came up and made sure everything was going as great at it truly was. Can’t wait to be back for this new menu. The lamb was 10/10

Outstanding filet and grilled shrimp. Sides were delicious. Service was the best we’ve had in any restaurant in a very long time. Great all around experience on the square.

We ate there there today, wings okay, no celery or carrots, had to wait 5 mins for ranch dressing. The 6$ Draft Beer was not cold. I ordered chicken tacos and onion rings, they were not hot, I ate 1/2 of a taco and a single onion ring, sat the plate on the table next to us, the Owner and Manager walked by and nobody said anything. I ordered a second beer, it never came, they took it off our bill. Service was so bad. This was the third time we have been, Probably the last.

Just had the best wings and food for date night. Seriously, this new menu is incredible. Jason the bartender was extremely intelligent with not only the drinks but the food as well.Can’t wait to come try more of this menu

ChopBlock has the absolute best burgers around. The staff, especially, Leksi, Kayci and Jason are super friendly and attentive. You cannot have a bad meal or a bad time here. Best time for us to go is lunch time. Huge leather booths and a nice quiet atmosphere. Add in the quality and tasty food and you have a winning combination.

Five star all around. Nice guy Jason which was the bar tender and did a wonderful job, nice conversation and took care of the bar well. Will visit again on my next visit from Costa Rica! Overall helpful! Will visit again soon Jason gets a 5 star!!! Nice place for an afternoon visit with friends.
This restaurant is under new ownership and it is soooo much improved. The menu is very different and offers some unique fare. The fried green tomatoes are awesome! Nice drink menu and there’s something for everyone. We didn’t have to wait and everything was served hot. Check it out and you will be pleased!

We ate at Chopblock last night and also on July 1st prior to the First Friday concert. We had excellent service from Anna. Our food was out in a timely manner and everything we had was great. My husband ordered the fried green tomato & pimento cheese BLT that was amazing. I had Brussel sprouts with wings. That was on July 1. Last night we had a hamburger that we shared with onion rings and sweet potato fries along with 3 separate appetizers that 8 of us shared. The Restaurant has a new owner that's changed EVERYTHING - menu, drinks, wait staff and delivery of food. If you had a bad experience before, I highly recommend you give them another try!!!

Great bar in Gainesville square! The food is delicious but the drinks have me here to stay. If you’re lucky enough to catch either Quinn and Kasey behind bar then you are set! Hands down they make the best drinks and provide the best service. I’ll definitely be back soon!

Went today for lunch arrived at 12:10 and was greeted and sat immediately. There were two tables taken one with 6 and another with 3. My granddaughter ordered a Paloma and I ordered a Sea Breeze. One hour later I noticed other tables were getting served their drinks and they had arrived after us. I asked our server if we could get our drinks. She said the bartender will make them when he gets ready. I mentioned other tables were getting drinks that had arrived after us and was wondering if there was an issue with the order. Thinking it might not have been put in or got lost. She repeated that he makes drinks in no order and we would get ours when he got ready to make it. Not wanting to cause a scene, I sat there quite dumbfounded. What a strange reply. After one hour and 15 minutes we did get our drinks and one hour and 30 minutes our food. The food was very good and the drinks were good. Just so confused with the response. I did leave a normal tip but will probably not go back.
