Explore Hawkinsville's Mexican cuisine gems with Restaurantji's insights.
“We have eaten here many times over the years. Our major problem has been consistency but I am happy to report that the cook staff has been consistently delivering quality meals for the past year or so. If you are dining-in the wait staff has been top notch. The menu is expansive (perhaps too large) and some items are better than others at this location. Recommend the BTO Bandera, House specials, tacos de bistec, fajitas, Pollo mexicano. Do not recommend guacamole (heavy tomatillo in my opinion), chori pollo, or chille relleno (order poblano peppers instead). Also note an additional charge for card payment and no chips for to-go orders.Dietary restrictions: Corn tortillas available on request“
“La Cabana is a “sure thing” in Cochran. Excellent salsa and great service! The Chicken Soup and Guacamole Mexicana are hidden gems on the menu. The original main location out performs their express location on food taste and consistent preparation.“
“I just moved up from Florida and I was looking for something honest to eat. Two trips to MickyD's were followed by two trips to the throne, not a very auspicious start to my Hawkinsville experience. Fortunately I found Abuelitos and it made my day. Good honest Mexican food, well prepared and delicious as hell. I will be a regular. This isn't your college Taco Bell, Abuelitos rocks, hard. Not good eats, GREAT eats“
