“Definitely one of my favorite Chinese food places. My personal favorites are the fried chicken wings and general tso chicken. I have had many other items on their menu and they never disappoint. The owner always remembers who you are when you come in (especially if you’re a regular customer like me), and he makes you feel like family. I 10/10 recommend to anyone who is an Asian cuisine lover.“

“They always have my online order ready when scheduled. You are greeted by very nice staff. My only issue is, when you request extra teriyaki sauce they don't give it to you. I usually open my bag and they only put a few in there. I have to ask for extra ones.“

“My new go to spot and it's close to home. The owner is funny. Our first time ordering there was great. I just relocated to GA and needed to find a couple new takeout locations that could become my "Faves" for Chinese food. This is #1 on my list at the moment and will try new items on the menu.“

“This place is a definite place to go for a decent dinner at a great price. When I went I got a bunch of different dinner combination dinner plates and I was surprised with the quilty of food, they run about 7.99 to 825 for a meat and side of rice with a egg roll which to me is a good price for that meal. But this place actually has a flavorful serving of food, most fast food Chinese places are lacking in taste in their dishes for such a low price but this place is worth it. I got images from the visit but once I get home the family grabs their and runs before I can get a image of the item.
The most liked is the General Chicken, House Lo Mein, and the Kung Pow Chicken. We did try the Pepper Steak, Mongolian Beef Sesame Chicken, and the beer or chicken with broccoli. All were very good and worth the trip to get a good done for your family for a decent price.
While there people did order their wings with the flavor sauces, I wish they didn't sizzling rice soup or a curry but they do have a good selection to choose from.
All in all a worth while for trip.“

“I was eating in the restaurant and an elderly lady came in that could barely walk with her cane. On her way out, a staff member helped her walk to her car and get back in it. Was truly awesome to see staff with respect and caring about our elders.“

“I just moved to Douglasville and have been considering China East for a bit, but wanted to get more accustomed to driving in that area. So, tonight I finally placed an order. It was clean and quiet when I went inside. The kitchen looked very nice, you can see it from the counter. When I was approached about my order, the lady was extremely sweet and my order was ready several minutes before the time indicated.
I wish I had been able to leave a tip, but I didn't have the money at the time. However, I intend to next time!
The food is great. I'm picky about Chinese food, but this was quite nice. I'm not sure why anyone complains about the rice. It's yellow FRIED rice, guys! Have you not heard of yellow fried rice? And it's delicious. I actually prefer it over any other fried rice I've had at other places. The pork and veggies in it were fresh. The rice was perfectly cooked. (Please don't change your recipe!)
I also had the sweet and sour chicken. It was fresh, not tough at all, and wonderful. Sure, they don't put pounds of meat into their batter (at the guys who keep complaining about that) but I thought it was a fair amount of chicken and it went so well with the sweet and sour sauce.
I'm excited to come back for another visit! Thanks, everyone at China East for making my dinner worthwhile tonight! I've already spread the words to my family to also visit.

“The main food was very good -both beef and chicken dishes. The egg drop soup was also very good. However, the so called fried rice that came with the main dishes was horrible. It was not fried rice but instead some type of base you might use. No flavor and no consistency like fried rice.“

“This is my family's go to place for Chinese food! I will drive pass numerous other Asian restaurants just to get a meal from them. The staff is always pleasant and helpful. The food is delicious! I've ordered different dishes from them and have never been disappointed. Always generous portions, and the restaurant clean. Highly recommend!“

“This is my favorite Chinese restaurant in Douglasville. I have been ordering food here for as long as I can remember. I love the hot and sour soup, any of their lo meins, beer and broccoli, and my favorite General Tso. The owners are very friendly and I think they know who I am whenever I call in an order.“

“This is my favorite chinese place to go. I always order the sauteed garlic broccoli w/ white rice, and it's always so good and hot and burns my mouth off. Anyway, the family that works there is always so kind and friendly to us, and it doesn't take long for the food to come out.“

“My third visit to that place before the review. The taste doesn't disappoint. The staff is super friendly and patient. Good job. It's not a busy place. Almost seems like it's closed at times. Maybe because of its proximity to McDonald's“

“I have bought take out Chinese food here for many years. I saw that there was a new owner and new menu. Decided to give them a try. We ordered the Char Sue (roasted pork) and Shrimp with Broccoli. Both were good and stayed hot until we arrived home. The selections available on the menu are not the typical Americanized sweet and sticky entree recipes. I noticed that fried rice was praised by someone on another review app (Swarm). We enjoyed our food. I will give the fried rice and egg rolls a chance next time I visit.“

“They had really good food except the cashew chicken I ordered should’ve been called celery chicken. They must’ve ran out of cashews. I had maybe 5 cashews and it was so loaded with celery you could only taste the celery. The rest of the food ordered was delicious though so I’m willing to go 4 stars.“

“I love this place. I seriously do. I live 50mns away and this is only place I eat Chinese food at. HOWEVER, your almond chicken recipe is the laziest meal I’ve ever witness: dried almond pieces with dry floured chicken pieces and what seems to be a very unhealthy brown sauce.“

“We got 3 lunch specials, crab Rangoon, and fries(it's a above average portion of French fries) for 38$. I saw all the negative reviews and I don't personally understand why this place deserves one star. The lady in the front is sweet, you get a decent bit of food in the lunch portion (and I'm a big back so). The food also tastes good. Only complaint is that my husband only got 2 shrimp in his meal (but they were bigger shrimp). Would visit again ❤️“

“This place was closed to the public and only take out after pandemic and finally open up. They have a good selection of food and some sushi which for the lunch menu looks very decent the price. It's not a luxury place but it's well maintained clean and the service is on point.“

“Service was TERRIBLE but food was AMAZING. They gave my hubby the wrong order and did not apologize, but the food was definitely worth it. Honestly the best Chinese take out I’ve had. The Mongolian beef was so tender & egg rolls were awesome.“

“Young family members who work the front need some instruction on dealing with the public. Being abrupt and dismissive instead of trying to be helpful can make customers want to go elsewhere. Food is always very good, albeit a little pricey.“

“I recently ordered carry-out here after a recommendation from a friend, and it was an exceptional experience! I ordered the Szechuan chicken, house fried rice, braised wings, and hot & sour soup, and every dish was absolutely delicious. The Szechuan chicken was flavorful with the perfect balance of spice and heat, and the house fried rice was well-seasoned and cooked to perfection. The braised wings were tender and packed with flavor, and the hot & sour soup was satisfying.
The customer service was also great—patient, friendly, and efficient. I will recommend this place to family and friends. I'll definitely be returning soon!“
