“My family went here for a family lunch. We've been having trouble with my cousin letting me sit at the same table as him and they were happy to accommodate this oddity, and the food was very good. My grandma did have her chicken get remade because it was half and half, but it was almost no time to get her dish. I got the cowboy burger and it was pretty good.Parking: It wasn't that busy so we had plenty of parking.”

“Such an adorable little shop! ?We stopped by while visiting my brother up in Blackshear. We're from South Florida, but we're always trying to explore local coffee shops - and we're so glad we tried out The Book & Bean!It's a cozy little shop with countless books to read. It has a nice setup, and although they told us they're still trying to get things organized, it had all the space necessary to sit down, enjoy a nice meal and a nice book.Surprised to see it had a drive-thru - so convenient for the locals!! Hard to come by a great coffee shop where you can either dine-in or use the drive-thru. That's amazing.The staff was so very friendly and helpful. They were on top of every little detail and assisted us with any questions we may have had.We've been to a lot of coffee shops where they just could not get a latte right - but The Book & Bean got it RIGHT! We all ordered different lattes and they were delicious, steamed to the perfect temperature, and they were the perfect level of sweetness.We have our own coffee business down here in Broward, and we are just so glad when we come across perfect like coffee shops like this one. If I lived here, I'd come walking every day, lol.We also all ordered breakfast sandwiches and the donuts, and they were so yummy! We left full and satisfied.Thank you to The Book & Bean for providing us with a great breakfast and a great time. We can't wait to come back the next time we visit the adorable town of Blackshear!”

“I have eaten here twice, lunch 1pm and dinner 7pm and both meals were great, as were the employees. However,,, They need to put trash cans in and let the customer's clear the tables. I noticed both times, the tables were slowly being cleared off, we sat and waited 8 minutes to get the trash removed from our table, they did not and are not wiping any of the tables down nor are they wiping the seats off. That makes the tables and seats Germ friendly and is just plain Nasty. I also wonder if the plates they bring your food out on are being washed?? Again this is nasty if they are not washing those plates. I also went to get ketchup and the packs were sticky like one of the packs may have leaked all over the rest. What a mess, I had to wash my hands and take wet napkins back to my table to wipe them off, then wipe our own table and seats off. Last but not lease, There are no side walks around the side of the building. Old people, children and everyone is having to walk between the cars and this is dangerous. You could paint a cross walk with cones and a sign asking people to not block cross walk. My family and I plan to eat here a lot in the future. Just pointing these out, so you can correct these issues and make this a better and safer place to eat for my family and my Blackshear family.”

“What a great lunch experience my brother and I had at the Garden Cafe! I've been living in Waycross for 9 months now and this is the first time I've eaten here. The food was so good! I had the Toasted Walnut Chicken salad sandwich and the shrimp bisque soup...oh my, so good!! The atmosphere is very nice with the different tables and vintage chairs beautiful hardwood floors. I will definitely be back and next time sit outside in the beautiful patio. Oh and can't forget to mention what a lovely waitress we had!”

The owners/managers are always pleasant to talk to and you can really feel the passion when they talk about their business. “After most trips to Waycross I always try to swing by to grab a few bowls to bring to back to Baxley. On this particular evening the line was busier than usual due to the upcoming Christmas parade. As I final make it to place my order, the staff (especially Hunter) was busy as bees and took special attention to make sure the orders were right. Hunter took time to make sure majority of my condiments were in separate containers so that it was easy to warm up once I made it home. The food was delicious & the service was exceptional. I know this is their job (customer service) but the kindness and thoughtfulness shows the staff take pride in what they do!”

“I just love my local Huddle House right here in Blackshear, Georgia. They have the ultimate breakfast ?. Hash browns topped with sausages, bacon ?, scrambled eggs, covered in gravy served withaside of toast. I love the apple butter. The service is fast and friendly. So stop on by and see what this small town restaurant has cooking. Mmmm mmm mm m!”

“It was our first time getting food at Panda. They are still a no-contact restaurant, so you have to call your order in. I didn't know this until I went to the restaurant. But I was able to order and sit in my car to wait. The woman said it would be 10 minutes and it was done in about 8. She called me, I went inside to pay and pick up.The food is pretty average. It's good, though, and you get a lot of it. It's pretty reasonable. For three dinners, it was $30, with tax.We will order from here again.”
