We had the large guacamole and it was the best ever and it was very large. I had the quesadillas ranchera and they were tasty. “I had a party of nine. but we separated the checks three different ways. I also ordered a taco salad to go. when we got our checks they automatically wanted to put the tip on the receipt of what we were going to pay. we couldn't pick or. choose what we wanted our tip to be. they were rather slow for it being Cinco de mayo. and the waitress hardly ever came over to our table. but when I brought my to go order home for my loved one, they found a piece of clear plastic in their taco salad. but when we went to go complain to the manager about the receipts he refused to change the tip and said that it was mandatory even though we wanted to do a cash tip. I definitely would not recommend.“

“If you are looking for exceptional Mexican food, you can’t miss El Centinela. They provide exceptional value with delicious food. Many of their servers have been there for years and are so friendly and kind. I cannot recommend them enough!“

“Right off the gas station lot but doesn't taste like it. Birria taco made everything else on the tray feel like a warm-up act. Crispy shell, meat soaked in flavor, cheese melting out the edges. That broth--full of body, not just greasy or salty like a lot of places try to get away with. Steak taco was tender, didn't need anything extra. Chicken didn't wow me, but it held its own.

Torta came out like a full commitment. Soft bread, still toasty, avocado stacked thick, jalapeños didn't hold back. Fries not special but hot and seasoned. Quesadilla looked basic but was packed--more meat than expected, cheese actually stretchy. Wings felt like a curveball. Didn't need 'em, but lemon pepper slapped.

Nothing felt overdone or gimmicky. Just straight good food. Quick service, no attitude. Not trying to impress, just feeding you right. I'd go back tomorrow.“

My family has a family dinner night here 2-3x per month where all of my siblings and their families, parents and their spouses, cousins, etc. all come together to spend time with family.
