“You have to try the Cuban sandwich, I’ve never been able to find one better“

“My husband and I was looking for some place new to go for dinner and i found this place on the internet. We had never heard of it and it was close to our home so we decided to check it out. The set up is nice. I believe there are 3 or 4 dinning rooms. The staff was really nice and very attentive. We didnt make any reservations which they do prefer but they sat us still without a wait. The drinks were really good and they did not hold out on the amount of alcohol. Now the dinner. OMG Dinner was off the chain. I tip my hat off to the chef. I had the Honey Glaze Salmon and my husband is vegan so he had The Smoked spinach Asparagus Mashed potatoes and Brocolini. When I tell you this had to be the best food with so much flavor. We were more then pleased. The only complaint we have is the music got really loud. If couldnt hear each other even if you are sitting right next o each other. But other then that I will definitely return and I must say I am adding this to my list of best restaurants in Atlanta.“

“My server Toni was great! I wasn’t happy that they didn’t have three types of beers I ordered. I had the bratwurst sliders and they were ok, nothing too special …. Wasn’t a huge fan of the loud music but it was a great choice to people watch as I had some time before a flight.“

“The experience was more than I expected. My daughter whose in the Navy and stationed oversees came to visit but was leaving on Saturday so I wanted to spend a Friday night with her before she left. Well I was very pleased with the food and the atmosphere. Initially when we arrived I was ready to go to another spot due to it was dead but little did I know we were early. “Well… We were looking for a to-go meal and wanted something close by. As our search went, we came across this Irish Pub, as the name it was under. Looked at the menu and wife saw Pork chops, and some other sides that sounded like a winner.

So, I went to this place, located in Rex, at the Creekside Village shopping center, next to Food Depot.

Turns out that the name was changed to Urban Pub Bar and Grill. I remember seeing it once before and the place was packed in the evening hours. Parking isn’t an issue due to the shopping center lot, so no worries there.

Went in and it is a decent size place. The menu has changed just a bit since it was bought by another party. Still though, we could get most of what I saw of the menu online. Opted for the fried pork chop meal, added a side of fried okra, cabbage, greens and mac n cheese. It comes with 2 sides already with the meal. That was the cabbage and greens. Also added an extra chop too, it comes with just one.

The chops were seasoned just right, and the crunch was tops, and still moist inside. Someone knows how to cook back in that kitchen… The greens were spicy and excellent, and the cabbage was on point too. There was a piece of smoked meat in it and it was tasty… Then the mac n cheese, it was creamy and had a slight crust on top, tasted a few types of cheese in it, I thought one was Smoked Gouda, though I didn’t ask. The okra was also fried just right, crunchy and tender. Overall, it was a hit.

Lunch specials are advertised in the bar but was told that one or more may change soon.

It has a Stage, and pool table area (maybe 4 total), as well as some digital slots in the same area. A juke box too.

A main bar as you enter and plenty of seating. The have bands and Karaoke on certain days too. Car shows they host as well.

I went during the afternoon, so it wasn’t busy at all, but nights seem to be the party time. If the food is this good, then I can be assured that the rest of the menu items are more likely to be a hit.

“Shrimp tacos were legendary! Garlic knots; hot, tasty, and ohhh sooo delicious! Honey bbq wings were worth every bite and penny! Owner is such a lovely person, taking time to speak with us. Definitely a fabulous dining experience.“

“People come here for the burgers, but do not sleep on the newly added Cajun food. The red beans and rice, gumbo, and limas with sausage are incredible. I call them once a week to make sure they have the red beans and rice. Great food that's hard to find other places. The fried shrimp is really really good also.“

“The wait time for food was not long at all! And it was DELICIOUS!! Staff was friendly, and attentive. Gave a four for service, since the waitress never offered to refill my water, but refilled my friend’s tea and gave her one to go! Will I go again? Yes! Will I specifically ask for a refill of my water? Also yes!“

“Found this place with my wife whilst waiting for a connecting flight. Had a few great craft beers, but what really made it was Sergio, who did the drinks but also recommended the honey sriracha brussels sprouts - they are absolutely delicious! I run a few BBQ Schools in the UK and I will be doing my homage to this inspired dish on future BBQ Courses - with full credit going to the Atlanta Hawks Bar & Grill at Atlanta Airport!
