I planned my trip around Whistle Stop Cafe on my trip back home to Florida. I left Ohio at 5:30 AM to have plenty of time to have dinner there. I got "stuck" in traffic for four hours, unable to get to the cafe as planned. Went to take pictures and the manager, Colby, saw me outside taking photos and asked if he could help me. An absolute most for anyone who loved the movie Fried Green Tomatoes! We made the trip with our mother and grandmother and it was an awesome place to visit together! We all ordered a different meal and then shared and everything we tasted was amazing! Be sure to save some room for dessert!
We spent the day visiting Jarrell Plantation and Piedmont Wildlife Refuge. We were heading back for home when we noticed this super cute street just before the railroad tracks. We made the left turn onto the street and parked. I googled the 1st shop and screeched with excitement. We are where Fried Green Tomatoes was filmed. We walked to the end of the street and added our name to the waiting list. We wondered the fleatiques until we heard our name being yelled. We hurried back...
