“While we had to wait about 30 minutes for seating, it was well worth the wait. We had the crab cakes and a burger. The food was amazing and the crab cakes meal was the most well balanced meal we have had in LaGrange with the mash potatoes, squash, zucchini, and broccoli. The tastes combined was a delight to the taste buds. Casey was our waitress and took care of us very well including answering every question we had. Cannot wait to return!!“

They have very tasty homemade chips. Those were a nice surprise. I also got the club sandwich & beet salad & was not disappointed. Would def recommend.“

“Old cafeteria style and Oh My WORD! The food is Fantastic! athe staff is super friendly too. If you want a good country meal with tons of flavor, you have got to try Shirleys. I have eaten a lot of Mac n cheese in my life and have never had any better than this. So creamy and delicious. The fried chicken is just like I remember as a child, so crispy. Black eyed peas were seasoned to perfection. Then to Top it off, homemade banana pudding that would make your tongue want to lap your brain out, it was so good. I HIGHLY recommend!! You will not be disappointed! 😋❤️“

“We visited on a Tuesday night without a reservation. I didn’t realize it was a smaller restaurant, so definitely get one before you go. As far as food, you won’t leave hungry; matter of fact, you’ll leave with at least one more big meal in a to go box! Plenty of food and absolutely delicious! I loved the flavor, definitely a 5 out of 5 in this regard. So many unique dishes as well. I had the skilletini and mt wife had the papagalo. I would have never imagined jalepeno would be so amazing in a pasta dish!!!! Without a doubt, we WILL be back!“

“The people here are really friendly. The food is good, they arent free from mistakes but theyre willing to fix their errors, just let them know. Honestly my favorite spot to go to in the area, much better than mcdonalds or arbys or wendys which are nearby. Jukebox! It gets a bit busy when theres events in town, but its good vibes here.“

“Our waitress was the black woman. She had to serve 4 booths with 2 people in them and 2 people in single chairs. Then she had to help make food, clean dishes, refill drinks, remake coffee. Doing all of this while the other two white female employees sat in the back talking and laughing. She couldn’t even serve us properly because they forced her to do ALL the work. They say racism is over but apparently at the Waffle House at New Franklin Road in LaGrange, Georgia, it’s ALIVE AND WELL. I saw no other reason for why they treated the lady like that and made her do all the work for the hour and 30 minutes my Aunt and I sat to eat there. PLEASE DO BETTER WAFFLE HOUSE!!

“I had a absolutely amazing experience at the cook out in Lagrange ga I went through the drive through like I do every time and I usually get some attitude or issues but today I got the kindest sweetest woman there her name was Taydra she was so kind while I ordered and made sure I was able to get things I needed but they were out of example my husband like lemonade in his sweet tea they were out of lemonade she offered to give me several lemon juice packets for his drink when other times jt would have just been we are out sorry“

“Service 4 out of 5, the waitress was the Only one working tables. Her service was actually really excellent even with running like crazy. She was also Darn Snazzy looking too😋

Restaurant and tables were actually Clean as was the restroom.

Our server was amazing, I believe her name was Amy. (I could be wrong) but she was so sweet, attentive, I asked if she could put a burger patty on the fried green BLT (trust me it’s amazing and they should totally make it a staple menus item) she fulfilled it, and it was phenomenal.

My son had the mild lemon pepper wings and my husband got the avalanche.

My boys are full and so happy we chose this as our stop on the way to see Zach Bryan.

“Went to LH for dinner w friends. The T-bone was good. My filet was thinner than I expected. I ordered it medium, which usually works well at other locations, but given the thinner cut it came out a little more done than I typically like.

The NY strip was ordered medium-rare but came out very rare… my wife only ate around it without telling me unfortunately. Despite that, we still enjoyed our meal and had a good dinner overall.

One thing that could definitely be improved… the tables had an old-rag smell, like they had been wiped down with a damp cleaning cloth.“

“In town for a quick getaway with my daughter. She literally only eats burgers and drinks lemonade so that was why we chose this place. The staff was friendly upon entering. I was surprised that there was no where to sit and eat, since from online it looked like you could eat there, but luckily our hotel was only 10 mins away and our food was still piping hot when we got there. The burgers were tasty and the fries with seasoning were delicious. The Diet Coke tasted off, but we were all ready back at the hotel. Did not give 5 stars because the staff member at checkout was on the phone with the phone company (personal, on a ear bud) arguing with them about her phone being cut off, owning money, wanting the reconnection fee removed from the bill etc. It isn’t that huge of a deal, but it is just unprofessional. It is a small space, so it is awkward having to listen to that for like 20 minutes.“
