“8 hours into an 20 hour road trip, my partner and I arrived in Atlanta at about 7 am. Unfortunately, I'm a bit over the top when it comes to coffee and insisted we stop at something that wasn't a love's.It was a quiet and rainy morning. The shop had a sleepy/cozy feeling and the staff were very friendly and attentive. They were also very patient with my very groggy self. I really enjoyed the lavender latte I ordered and grabbed some beans to go.They also have a great selection of some interesting beers, wine, cocktails, coffee beans, and non alcoholic beers/beverages. The next time we come to Atlanta, we'll definitely be back!“

The food here is SO DAMN GOOD, its almost annoying. I usually don't try different meals at places, out of fear my money would be wasted cause it won't be good, but at D'essence EVERYTHING SO GOOD. I get chills every time I order and get my bag. I cant even help the praise footwork that happens when the food comes out. Their food looks like the photos. Usually restaurants get professional photos and the food never looks the same ??, but D'essence looks like the photos and taste that good. “Stop by after dropping off a family at the airport. Soon as I walked it, I knew it was going to be authentic. Then the pho came out with the green pepper and shrimp paste and I knew it was the real deal. Lol. Papaya was on point. This will always be my go to place when coming to the airport now.“

“Decent first experience at Carroll Street Cafe. We ended up trying the Bacon Benedict and Chicken Sausage Omelette. The Benedict was alright but if I come back I would get something different as the Florentine-esc combination of mushroom and spinach didn't really hit the mark for me with the dish. We had varying perspectives on the potatoes but overall they were fine. Would definitely try again, maybe the waffles or pancakes.“

“We came at 1:00 PM on a Thursday and the atmosphere was so welcoming and chill. The music they played was so on point I’m currently listening to “ I like the way” by high five, if that puts the vibe in context for you.We got the Fish and grits with blueberry pancakes. The fish was fried really well and the grits, so good. We also had the Jazz’s special with. Also so good.The service was even better. Ms Jessica was so wonderful, a 10 out of 10 for sure. Will definitely be going back“

“My girlfriend and I visited on a regular Thursday morning. There was no wait. The food here was so so so good! We had the fried catfish and shrimp over sautéed spinach and grits 10/10, we also shared the French toast 10/10. The coffee was just ok. Our waiter Draper was very attentive and the music was nice . “If you come to Stockbridge, this is a must ! I watched the Super Bowl there and was welcomed with the most genuine and generous people. I tried the sweet iced tea chips, salsa, queso, and finished with the most tasty meaty chicken wings I've ever had. (We had the crab cake breakfast) We decided to dine in and the ladies here were so sweet and accommodating to my little guy. This will be my little go to breakfast spot from now on. “My friend and I had breakfast here this morning after leaving the airport. I had the fish & grits. It was delicious. Fish cooked to perfection. My friend had salmon and grits, and she enjoyed her food as well. The food is hot because it is cooked to order except for grits, which were perfectly cooked. The grits are plain. “A cool spot for"Grown Folks" to go dance, eat and smoke hookah. Despite the name, the crowd is pretty diverse in age I would say ranging from 30's to 70's. There were a couple of birthdays being celebrated in an elevated area, the only area that I would say is not handicapped accessible as it is stair access only from what I could tell. All the attendees seemed to be having a blast.The DJ is great. He has a tough job but managed to play something for everyone. There are seats available if you don't want to dance and are in the mood to eat. I had the whiting plate and it was fried perfectly. I was shook. I would order that again if I were to find myself in Grown Folks on. Saturday night.My friends ordered the lemon pepper wings which she said were also good. So all in all a good night out for me and the crew.There are gender specific restrooms located at the rear of the establishment and an outside covered patio with a small bar.Parking: It shares parking with other businesses in a plaza style shopping center.“

“The purple haze was a light and refreshing drink to have! The agave on the bottom could have reduced to avoid being too sweet but I would definitely get this again! I added the immunity boost for the extra vitamin C. The service was good and they were very attentive. I loved the fact that you can use a QR code to pay instead of waiting for the host. The donut holes are ADDICTIVE! The fruit compote is light not sugary. Compliments the sweetness of the donut. The chocolate sauce was JUST RIGHT! I ended up combing the compote and sauce for food bliss! Great lighting, the menus were big and had multiple options for brunch or breakfast. A must do for a light yet filling option. My friends LOVED the million dollar bacon.“
