“Unfortunately, while passing through the area my car broke down in this parking lot and my boyfriend and I were stranded for several hours while waiting on a tow and a ride back home, which is 4 hours from here. Had time to play a few games of pool, drink a bit, and enjoy some fair priced and really yummy food. Everyone from the owner, server, bartender, and even locals were incredibly hospitable. I have a feeling we’ll be back next time we’re in town!“

“Passing through on our way to Atlanta. This place was close to our hotel and had a covered patio where they welcomed our toy poodle. THEN, the service, the food! Best oysters on the half shell ever - rivaling the Oyster Bar in Grand Central Station in New York City. Fried green tomatoes - delicious! Popcorn shrimp terrific! Yummy Cole slaw and cheesy grits. I was amazed and delighted to have found this treasure. Such friendly and fun staff served us very quickly and graciously. Great experience!!!“

We have been anxiously waiting for the new building and was finally able to experience Austin’s in its new location (right behind the old location) and it didn’t disappoint! The food is still great, the service still friendly and the restaurant still nostalgic. “Totally worth spending the money to have breakfast as a family without having to pile back in the car and leave the hotel. Our server was lovely, and understanding as a mother. Kids aren't very fun to take out for a bite, but this experience was positive and memorable. Good to know when we stay in Valdosta, there's a comfortable friendly and familiar place to call our temporary home, and a close place to get a delicious hot meal.“

“Very clean Waffle House, line cook overcooked the eggs, bacon was perfectly crispy the way I ordered, hash-browns were crispy on the outside and tender underneath. Coffee was fresh, but a little strong. Overall good visit. Thank you again, Waffle House!“

The atmosphere was pleasant, and the customer service was impressive. Our server was pregnant at the time and did not miss a beat. She was on point and very attentive.“
