Tropics Jerk Center is known for its delicious and authentic Caribbean food. The jerk chicken and jerk pork are standouts, with great jerk seasoning and a little kick. The fried chicken lunch plates are also popular. The rice and peas, and cabbage and carrots slaw make for excellent sides. The plantains are a must-try, setting the standard for all other plantains.
The oxtails are particularly noteworthy, often regarded as the best in the Atlanta area. They are tender, spicy, and meaty, with a generous portion size. The jerk pork, while not extremely spicy, has a smoky flavor as if it came out of a brick oven.
The service is exceptional, with polite and pleasant greetings, and a valuing of each individual customer. The prices are reasonable, making for a great dining experience. If you're seeking authentic Jamaican cuisine, Tropics Jerk Center is definitely worth a visit.
