“I want to send a special shout out to April from AddiCakes Cupcakes! She made the cupcakes for our wedding and since we got a surprise cake from my auntie, there were lots of cupcakes left over. I brought some home and put them in the fridge and forgot about them. I went to eat one as a midnight snack tonight and couldn't believe how soft, moist, and tasty those things still are and the icing is superb! Its been 17 whole days and it still tastes like she baked them this morning!!! She has earned her keep and will be my special event baker for life! It brings me so much pride to have such an incredible Black-owned business right here in the community. I first visited out of curiosity and left a devoted fan after trying the cinnamon roll pound cake slice. That one slice turned into many — red velvet, blueberry key lime, strawberry pound, and of course the viral cream cheese pound cake. Each one was phenomenal.

Beyond the desserts themselves, you can feel the passion in the kitchen. Ms. Tina and her team pour love, care, and joy into everything they bake — from cookies and cupcakes to banana pudding. Yep I tried that too! My favorite.... Snickerdoodle

Jewel's (as I like to call it) is the kind of business I hope we see more of. I’m always excited to stop in and find out what slice I’ll fall in love with next. Not just a jewel but a gem in its own right.

They have so many different foods from sandwiches to breakfast options to meat pies to cakes and pastries to even just frozen goods to take home. and they're. all. so. delicious. I eat here at least three out of five of my work days. It's become so that I can barely justify going to anywhere else on the Square to eat. My friends and coworkers are now concerned because I suggest Australian Bakery for every meal. I think they're planning an intervention for me. It's to the point where the staff know my voice over the phone or have already started to prepare my usual order as soon as they see me walking down the sidewalk. "Oh lawd he comin", they say. If I had a wife, I would be in danger of her leaving me because this would be all I ever want to take her out to.“
