We shared the special of the night which was a 16oz boneless rib eye that had a light parmesan cheese sauce, mashed potatoes, grilled broccolini and little shrimp on top of the steak. It was cooked to perfection and the was shrimp delicious too. The bartender knows her cocktail proportions so our drinks were very tasty and well balanced. We each had dessert. I had the special, which was tasty; however when I go back I'll definitely get the Cracked Pie! Highly recommend eating here.

This place is as good as it gets. Juding by the 5 things we had before dessert, it feels like one of those rare restaurants where you can close your eyes and pick something, and it will be as good as anything you’ve ate in the last 6 months. What a gem this place is. We started out with the deviled eggs which were as good as any I’ve ever had. We also had the pickle appetizer which was a nice, unique dish that gave us something to munch on until our meals arrived. My daughter had the filet which was perfectly cooked and on a bed of creamy mashed potatoes. I went with 2 small plates, the scallops over risotto which were exquisite. And I also had the flank steak which was the start of the show, even in a field where everything shined, every bite of the flank steak was absolutely delectable. I’d be remiss if I forgot to mention our side of macaroni and cheese and as I’m sure you can guess by this point it’s as good as any Mac and cheese I’ve ever had. Thank you to dovetail, the absolute definition of a 5 star restaurant

Business trip dinner. We were a little late for our reservation and they were not amused and reminded us of it a few times. But we were distracted by an album store on the walk from the hotel (worth the tartiness). Cocktails, appetizers and dinner were outstanding. Much better than expected honestly. Highly recommended and will return there on the. Ext time in Macon. Oh, and don’t ask what’s in their special cocktails they don’t like that either. Very tasty though they are.

This place is the crown jewel of macon ga everything was amazing and seasoned perfectly and they made my visit for my birthday special the beet salad is better than wolf gang pucks in Michigan and the pork belly is comparable to the Copa at four seasons in Orlando we are well traveled believe me the food is great!! From the espresso to the scallops and steaks.Thank you guys only negative was the parking but that's the ciities fault

Dovetail is my favorite restaurant. My husband and I moved away from Georgia and Dovetail is the thing we miss the most. The food is amazing, the service is stellar and the menu is changing all the time. I am jealous of anyone who has the opportunity to eat at Dovetail. Every time we enjoyed Dovetail we did multiple appetizers, entrees, multiple cocktails and multiple desserts and the bill still averaged $50-$75 a person which was a fantastic price given the quality.

The food and how it was prepared is on an absolute next level. If you need fine dining, look no further. The pork belly bites are game changers and the scallops were cooked perfectly! Now, lets get to the real reason the review is needed. The service! 10/10 recommended. Russ behind the bar is hands down the heartbeat of the front of house! Drinks, recommendations on the menu, and overall phenomenal personality is what you look for in a master mixologist!! It's your fault if you go anywhere else!!!!

Awesome service, love the farm to table options always have a seasonal menu that don't disappoint . The bar service is amazing the mixologist is incredible. Hamburger is awesome!!!! Love this restaurant

We had the best dinner, drinks and server. Blythe is a keeper. Very informative, sweet and should take up modeling along with this job. She was amazing. The chef ‍ was top notch; the blends were spot on with my filet! Brian loved his flat steak and especially the drink and lemon dessert! The bartender done an amazing job on his speciality drink too. But most of all,,,deviled eggs just like my dear moms. Haven't had them just like that since she passed. Thank you. Great job GM for having a great crew! You are doing a fantastic job!

Shout out to Ashley, Seth and the entire staff. Unfortunately we are only in town once a year to enjoy this exceptional experience. Ever time they exceed our expectations on southern hospitality and high quality food. If you’re there and you love what they do we recommend buying the staff a round of drinks! Well done!!

We were here Halloween weekend and all service staff were in costume, so it was maybe more fun than usual? I doubt it! Southern based menu items prevailed with GA focused farm to table providers. We made a meal of small plates and wish we had room for more. A gem in Macon.Parking: If you can’t walk a ways you may be frustrated by weekend parking options.

My life is now ruined. :(. I have eaten grits my entire life but after trying the pimento cheese grits in the Veggie Platter, my life will never be the same. Sans all "salt" vs "sugar" battles, these grits are the creme de la creme of all of the grit wonder across the South and dare I say across the planet. I had never indulged in such Southern wondery in all of my life. I digress and will stop. Now my taste buds are all worked up and I'm too far to do anything about it. :( The rest of the platter - amazing. Drinks, ambiance, service - all top notch. These folks are well trained and pay attention to detail. I say this after eating at Michelin star restaurants all over the world. As out of towners, it was hard to find the location but do not give up. It's well worth the discovery.

Excellent service and the meal was beautiful and delicious. We loved the location and vibe. We had drinks downstairs at Rookery beforehand & our table was ready on time. It was a perfect start to our evening before walking to Macon City Auditorium to see Buddy Guy in concert.
