“My husband planned a surprise anniversary date and took us to La Parrilla Mexican Restaurant for our first visit—and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! We sat at the bar, where our servers, Alan and Jessnia, were absolutely awesome. Despite the restaurant being packed, the wait time was short, and both servers were incredibly attentive. The food was delicious, portions were generous, and prices were very reasonable. The service was excellent, and the warm, inviting atmosphere made the evening even more special. We will be back again!“

“Honestly, we eat here so much. Any chance I get to tell people my favorite restaurant, I tell them Chevo’s. I could point to anything on the menu to order and I already know it will be delicious. Everyone working up front is super friendly and are probably sick of seeing us 😂 I would probably eat anything that they would put in front of me. I just know it will be delicious no matter what. I definitely recommend the crab legs, quesadilla sincronizada, or chimichangas. My husband recommends anything with steak.“

“This is a 5 star Mexican restaurant in a 3 star stop and rob - but don't let that stop you from getting some carry out! I heard this place was good and I'm here to tell you it was great. I know it's odd to have such wonderful food at a gas station, but it's true! Chicken/beef/shrimp were quality cuts - not some grislily rubber. Get some!“

My favorite part minus the food though… THE SWEET TEA IS THE BEST I’VE EVER HAD 🥹🥹🥹🥹. I’m so glad I got to experience this today and I will definitely be returning but not on a work day because I am sooooo sleepy and being pregnant does not help lol. Just to let everyone know though the food is wonderful, fresh, and made with love. “I was traveling and decided to try out their food because it was close to my hotel and it's a local business not a major chain. The food and customer service was amazing! The guy at the register was very helpful and patient while helping my husband and I navigate the menu and pick items based off our dietary needs. I ended up eating their 2x's before returning home and I ordered extra to have my children try a few items. I definitely plan to return in the future.“

“Our server was not in a great mood and it showed in her service. When I ask for something she would send someone else with it. And I'm not usually one to complain because I'm in this industry myself. I ordered a chicken burrito as I've always done and it was totally different. It had very little chicken and gobs of onions and peppers. So I asked could I send that back and exchange it for a beef burrito instead of course she let me do it but her attitude said she didn't want me to do it and from that point on anything I asked for she sent someone else with it so for me to be in this industry it disappointed me greatly....“

“This is by far one of the best small restaurants I have ever been in. We went on a Saturday when it was first opened and we had a waiter serve us almost immediately and pleasantly. I highly recommend the Cuban sandwich as it was by far the best one I've eaten in Macon so far. The atmosphere is kinda older feeling but authentic. I would highly recommend this restaurant.“

“Great Mexican food and Margaritas! I had a quesadilla fajita and it was out of this world! So full of onions, pepper and chicken. The strawberry margarita actually had full flavor and almost knocked me on my butt 😋 The service was great and quick.“

All the meats I had were delicious ( barbaco, asada, pork, cabeza, chorizo), the tortillas were normal nothing special. The sauces were fresh and flavorful. The “ Agua Fresca” was also top tier because they have a variety of flavors (guava, pineapple,mango, papaya, tamarind, and horchata, they have more). Inexpensive delicious quality food. One person with use was a picky eater and they definitely had a language barrier but his food was still delicious even though it wasn’t want he was trying to order. It got smashed though“
