Macon has a great event for the popular restaurants to compete for the best hamburgers in town. Some 20 plus restaurants present a new burger not on their menu. The Rookery is usually a top contender but this year fell short. It featured fried apples, Gouda cheese and bits of green pepper. It was not objectionable and I should have gotten one of their regular burgers with onions, mushrooms and bacon. Still the had a great lunch crowd.
Worth coming in for at least a cocktail made by Kyle ….he’s no nonsense and knowledgeable. He makes it happen and gets how to treat a customer. I come here once a month for work…only place I eat… burgers are awesome onion rings off the chain milk shakes…adult milkshakes….but lately been on the pork chop wagon. All the food I have had has been excellent.. CoL vibe great food and drinks and affordable. Great experience
We stopped in for lunch based on the reviews. I had the Greek burger off the special board. It was delicious. I would definitely get it again. Everyone else at the table was happy with their food as well. Only downside was that they were out of the first two things my son ordered. My son was excited about their milkshakes but they were out of vanilla ice cream so we were limited to a few milkshakes they make using chocolate ice cream. I had a chocolate shake and it was ok not...
