“Billy’s Let’s Eat Review of 3rd & Cherry on November 1st, 2025 As I have been trying to write this review for several days now, I think it’s one of the harder ones I have written. Let me explain. Our neighbors and I decided that we wanted to go out on the town and have a really amazing meal, not just to eat, we wanted to “dine”. We chose 3rd & Cherry. We went on a Saturday night so we made reservations as suggested. We were greeted and seated by Eddie (Turns out, he’s the owner) and our server was Isiah. Both of them were welcoming and immediately let us know we were in for an evening. This wasn’t just a simple dinner, this was a dining experience. Exactly what we were looking for. Here’s where it’s been difficult for me to write about. This is the portion that I usually give “the vibe” about the restaurant. With 3rd & Cherry, it’s nearly impossible! The “vibe” is anything you want it to be. It’s all over the place. The ambiance is contemporary but we quickly realized, this can be anything you want it to be. Date night? A place to celebrate a graduation? A wedding rehearsal dinner? Business meeting? Girls night out? The vibe offers endless possibilities. As far as the menu goes, they have something for everyone! Steak, Seafood, Traditional Puerto Rican, Italian and salads and so much more. It’s impossible for me to pinpoint exactly what the menu theme is. And honestly, I am here for it. I absolutely LOVED how their menu is all over the place, yet somehow, some way, it comes together in a perfect culinary delight. The Owner, Eddie, is from Puerto Rico. My partner is also from Puerto Rico. Needless to say, they immediately bonded and were able to speak in their native language, furthering the feeling of “home” at 3rd & Cherry. Now, let’s get into the food! And before you judge with how much we ordered, there were five of us and we were starving. LOL What We Ordered: Appetizers Fried Cheese = $12 This was a beautifully lightly fried white cheese served with a sweet Guava sauce. Pork Belly = $13 This pork belly was fried and served with a cherry gastrique (By the way, a gastrique is a really fancy way of saying sweet and sour sauce) which was amazing. Caesar Salad = $17 Ok, and here’s another part of this review that has been difficult for me. The Caesar Salad. Folks, I’ve had a lot of Caesar Salads in my lifetime. THIS one was by the far the best I have ever had. They make the dressing and croutons in house and it’s served on Romaine Lettuce with freshly shaved parmesan. I have had dreams about this salad every day since we ate there. It’s one of those salads that would make the perfect lunch. (Sidenote, they ARE open for lunch on Saturday and Sunday, otherwise you can have a late lunch the rest of the week as they open at 2PM) Sides Yukon Gold Mashed Potatoes = $5 And here we are, yet another difficult part. I am Irish which basically means, nobody’s mashed potatoes are half as good as mine because, well, I’m Irish and that’s what we do. Except… these were the creamiest mashed potatoes - ever. They are so much better than my own that I felt I’ve failed as an Irish cook. Arroz con Gandules = $4 Yet again, another difficult part. My partner is Puerto Rican and as you can imagine, Arroz con Gandules (Rice and Beans) are a staple to Puerto Ricans. This made us feel like we were back on the island eating at our favorite restaurant listening to Bad Bunny. As the Puerto Ricans say whenever they’re happy, WEPA! Sweet Plantains = $4 A Plantain is like a banana but heartier. They’re served fried in butter and they’re a perfect light side that goes with everything we ordered. Lyonnaise Potatoes = $5 These thinly sliced potatoes are baked with caramelized onions and butter and they were just as amazing as they sound. This is a hefty tasting side dish. Parmesan Risotto = $6 The Riscotto was thick and creamy and definitely was a hit! The cook on this was perfection and Riscotto is only good if it’s cooked correctly. “It was a girls night out, so we went to the Kudzu/Rooftop, first time……..Awesome night, atmosphere was great and the band One Love was amazing. My food was really good/fried grouper. I’m not a drinker so I have water. $13.49 Here were it went down for me, I paid with a card so the bartender D decided to tip himself $11.51 totally unprofessional. My two friends paid cash. Guys please check your receipts and bank statement for unauthorized tip that’s especially unreasonable. Bartender D *, restaurant ****“

Dietary restrictions: Excellent menu with different choices to choose from accommodate me and my family always be able to get everything together for outstanding customer service.

Parking: Parking lot is convenient for me to get in and out of the car.

Kid-friendliness: Awesome kids friendliness are Saleem Creed towards All kids that i have experienced in my own presence.

Wheelchair accessibility: Front door access for wheelchair ramps and accessibility where their staff will come from their work station and then help them out who needs any kind of help while we are at the door.“

“The food was absolutely amazing! Our waitress Tanjay was very sweet and attentive. I've never been to a Carrabba's, so I wasn't sure what I would be getting, but I'm glad to have gone. Trendy yet comforting atmosphere, excellent food (I'm in love with the bread, with oil 😋), and outstanding service from the kitchen to the table. After a hard days work the ambiance of this restaurant definitely hit the spot. Thank you guys!“

“We visited this restaurant on February 19th, 2022 for my husband's birthday. The service was absolutely the best we've had in years from any restaurant we've been. Jessica was an exceptional server. “I just had one of the most incredible dining experiences at Captain Crab Express, and I’m still thinking about it! This place is an absolute gem that every seafood enthusiast needs to visit.

Let me start with the star of the show: the Seafood Pasta. Oh. My. Goodness. This dish was nothing short of spectacular! Perfectly cooked pasta tossed with the freshest seafood imaginable; the sauce was flavorful and rich. I only wish there were a little more seafood. Nontheless every bite was pure heaven, and the pasta portion was incredibly generous. The garlic bread served alongside was the perfect companion – crispy on the outside, soft and buttery on the inside, with just the right amount of garlic that complemented the pasta beautifully without overpowering it.

And then there were the Fried Oysters with Waffle Sweet Potato Fries – what an inspired combination! The oysters were fried to absolute perfection with a golden, crispy coating that gave way to plump, juicy oysters inside. Each bite was a delightful contrast of textures. The waffle sweet potato fries were a stroke of genius – crispy, sweet, and the waffle cut made them extra crunchy. They were the perfect sweet counterpoint to the savory oysters.

The quality of the seafood at Captain Crab Express is outstanding – you can tell everything is fresh and prepared with real care. The flavors are bold, the portions are generous, and the entire meal left me completely satisfied and already planning my next visit.

If you’re looking for fantastic seafood that doesn’t disappoint, Captain Crab Express is where it’s at. I can’t recommend this place enough!“

“Celebrated our anniversary at Natalia‘s spring wine tasting dinner last night. I’ve been to several, but last night’s far exceeded the others. The outdoor dining area looked fabulous, the wait staff was exceptional, the wine was perfectly paired, the guest speaker was delightful, but the food was the star of the show. Every course was different, each a taste of Italy, simply prepared but complex flavors, and incredibly enjoyable. I highly recommend!!“

“This is the best place I've been too in awhile. My son has been doordashing them for a long time. He didn't even know where it was until I took him. It was nice that the kids got to get wings and I was still able to eat as a vegetarian. Hibachi was really good and we like to add the seasonings to our take out plates before we go.“

“We are local and my husband convinced me to try Tropical Flava recently. It has been added to the rotation! We get the jerk chicken and Mac and cheese. Last time we ordered plantains as an extra side and we wished we had done so this time. The meal comes with two but that’s not enough, they are delicious. The Mac and cheese is a star though in its own right and I would go just for this. If you’re in the area, try them out!“

“I'm an OTR truck driver needless to say it's hard to find good food restaurants that I can get my truck and trailer into so I was at the loves in Macon there was a grocery store I could park behind and I'm glad I did, I ordered the 2pc whiting with 10pc shrimp and it was hot, fresh and seasoned to perfection 👌 also the customer service was absolutely awesome so if you have a chance plz stop by.“

“First time visiting this establishment. The food was good. Chicken wasn't cooked hard. This fish was falling apart cause it was soft and moist. The shrimp went so quick I should have order more and the fries were good. All of it was sprinkled with that signature seasoning dust which I haven't figured out what's all in it. Now the dessert were decent. Frosting on the cakes wasn't to sweet. Sorta like if you take frosting and mix it with cool whip. The strawberry cake was my favorite of the cakes I got. The red velvet was a disappointment though. It was kinda heavy for my liking. The banana pudding was my second favorite dessert.“

“Iwaa the only vehicle at the drive thru. The drive thru wait was extremely long. No one acknowledged me so I said hello and the the person inside stated she will take my order soon. I ordered Gumbo and was told they no longer sell Gumbo so I ordered something else and the very next day I called to see if they had any Gumbo and the did. I purchased two large sizes.“

“Every time I’ve came here. The food has been great! Once the lady had forgotten my wing order of all flats. They had given me an mixed. They didn’t question it and fixed it right away and let me keep the mixed wing plate. Food always super hot and the people go out there way to make sure you’re happy with your order. “I had the whitefish grill with shrimp skewer, which was pretty good. The rice was good. I had baked potato and string beans for my sides. The string beans were sour disgusting. My man had the okra which was burnt in an edible, and the people were on their phones service was quick, but, some food was sour and burnt“

“The food here is really good, especially the Philly cheesesteaks made with fresh beef and the bread is soft. The lemonade is good too...not the minute Maid version. Lots of menu items to choose from. Prices are decent and you get good portions.“
