“Long John Silver’s is really good at what they do. My friend has been telling me about how good the food was. To tell the truth, I had expected to be underwhelmed. I am allergic to fish. I thought maybe I could find something else. Maybe fries or deep-fried chicken mumbles. Such was my pre-visit attitude.

There was parking with handicapped signs. Not unexpected but it was as close to the front door as the site allowed. This is not always the case. Sometimes the handicapped parking is farthest from the doors. Did I mention that I am handicapped? This kind of detail is important to me.

We arrived for a late lunch, around 2 pm. The attendant was patient and friendly. Food ordering was painless. I got chicken and my wife and friend got fish and chicken. We went and found a table and drinks.

It could be that it was slow at that time, but the attendant brought out food to the table. It was smiles all around. If we had brought in the wheelchair, we could have moved a chair from the table to accommodate it.

My meal was quite good and tasty. Didn’t feel too greasy and the spice mix in the batter was good. Another plus was that the place didn’t smell all that much like fish to me. A successful adventure with no follow-up trip to the emergency room for me. Hurrah!“

“The food has been consistently really good, and it has become a place I frequent regularly. I love the Philly and 6 wing combo. They have so many flavors, but I still go with X-hot every time. But the wings are consistently good and so is the rest of the food. The employees are very nice, and they keep the place clean. This has become one of the places I consider every time I eat out. 😊“
