I really enjoyed the food and the hospitality. I had the catfish with Green beans and mac and cheese. The catfish was cooked prefectly and the batter was a good compliment. The green beans had a tangy flavor that paired well with their hot sauce. The mac and cheese was a bit clumpy but very yummy. Thanks to my fellow diners I also tried the tilapia, which I liked even more than the catfish, and collard greens, which were awesome, and beans which were also great.
Sharif (obviously the owner) is so personable and gracious and open and likeable! He truly cares about his guests! I didn't ever ask him... Was Lolo his mother? There are portraits and paintings on the wall of him and a very loving looking woman. I should have asked. But I didn't want to impose because he's already gone out of his way for me, a stranger, that just pulled in when I saw the place and smelled the tantalizing aromas of barbeque and fried fish as I was just driving...read full review

The rib ribs are so freaking good. Along with the fried chicken, baked chicken. The macaroni and cheese reminds me of home and the collard greens were on point.
