“What a great find! Came through Augusta on a day trip, and happened across Farmhaus. Good food that is locally sourced, and great service. The young lady who took our order was great- she seemed happy to be there and was very helpful with the menu. The food was tasty and prompt. The beer selection looked awesome, only wish I could’ve enjoyed one with the burger, but I had a long drive ahead. If your considering trying Farmhaus, go! We’re from England and the chicken was shredded and in some kind of sauce, almost like a coronation chicken, not what I expected but nice enough. Now, this is where I have a problem. Ive eaten at restaurants all over the world, I have adhered to many dress codes. A 600.00 Cowboy hat is part of a look that is acceptable in many fine dining restaurants all over the Country. To embarrass someone and tell someone to remove a hat, due to a poorly posted " No hat Policy " is ridiculous. Its not like a ratty, sweat band crusted Masters Baseball cap or similar. This is why I'll take our 300.00 + dollar dining elsewhere, not for lack of food but character.“

“Izumi Japanese Buffet is commonly known as a sushi buffet, which is one of the things it is. They also have a hot food line that has Chinese-type food along with some eclectic items. Finally, they have a Hibachi station where you can pick what you want (meats and vegetables) and a chef cooks it. But the most space is allocated to sushi.

Now this may seem odd - I don’t eat raw fish, and there are still plenty of types of sushi there that I like - vegetarian and cooked seafood. The other three people I usually go with love sushi of all types and love to go there. Everything I’ve had from the hot bar has been good, and one of our party recently tried the Hibachi bar and said it was the best choice in the restaurant.

It’s a very casual place - don’t worry, as long as you’re dressed, they’ll let you in. The buffet is about $25 apiece with a soft drink. Kids are welcome, but there have never been so many there that they’re obtrusive in my experience.

I gave service as a four because like most oriental places I’ve been, they pester you to take your used dishes. Also, since it’s a buffet, there’s not a lot for them to do except bring drinks and refills. And I gave atmosphere a 3. I mean, it’s a fairly inexpensive buffet; what do you expect?

It’s a staple for my group. We like it there, and everybody finds something they like. Personally, I recommend it.“

We had the well done steak pho noodles, the seafood pho, the chicken bite appetizers, the summer rolls and the egg rolls. Everything tasted so good and the portion sizes are massive. “The pizzas that we ordered were good. We ordered 1 great white, one custom, and cheesy breadsticks. Had an issue with water. Yes. We ordered water, and the girl handed us cups. We checked our check when we sat down, and the price was quite a bit higher than usual. We were charged 2.99 per cup! We already got our drinks. When questioned, they informed us that those particular cups were extra. We informed them that we did not want the premium cups and have never been charged for water. She showed us the free cup, and we informed her that those were the ones we always get. We did not realize that they switched cups. They did a refund for the cups. It would have been nice at the time at check out to give us the option of a free cup or a premium cup. With that said, watch your receipts for the extra charge.“
