“This turned into a very pleasant evening, quietly sipping a couple of beers and catching up on some wifi. Hops on Fire sits just a short detour off I‑95, close enough to be convenient but still tucked away from the highway rush. I would never suggest driving and drinking, of course, and over the span of three hours I limited myself to one big beer and one small beer, which was more than enough for a relaxed stop.

The inside space is genuinely comfy, warm without trying too hard, and they offer outside seating as well for anyone who prefers the open air. I found a quiet corner next to an outlet, set up my laptop, and spent a good stretch of time writing Yelp reviews and mapping out the next leg of my journey. It had that easy, unhurried rhythm that makes a place feel like a small haven on a long drive.

Plenty of locals drifted in and out, giving the room a steady but never overwhelming pulse. The beer was pleasant and well‑kept, though the menu leans heavily toward IPAs. I enjoyed the one I chose, and the peanut butter beer made for a fun little dessert at the end of the night. Still, I would love to see a solid Pilsner on the board next time, something crisp to balance out all those hops.”

We were visiting this area for the weekend and looking for some good barbecue!
Now mind you! We were raised on GOOD BARBECUE!! So when we say, we were looking for some Good BARBECUE!! That's what we were looking for!
We were told about this place and Yes! When we pulled up we were Very Skeptical!!!! However!!!!...looks was DEFINITELY! deceiving in this case!
The food was and I am by no means exaggerating! The food was amazing! We ordered chicken and ribs and was NOT! disappointed! Again! We were raised on GOOD and I mean GOOD BARBECUE! and this had us thinking of home! The chicken came with the sauce on the side and to be honest it was good without it! Tender! 😋😋 and I, myself dont eat pork but my family was going crazy about the ribs! They said they were tender and delicious! And my Goodness! The sides! The potato salad, the rice! the beans! There was Nothing that we got that wasn't good! Except for that plain white bread! 🥴

“My wife and are from Chicago and are huge fans of Lou Malnati's. We are full time RVers and are in Savannah for three months and have a week left. We have enjoyed Deep Dish Pizza here three times so far and won't be able to resist going back home more time. The Pizza is totally legit with a delicate Butter Crust and the flavor profile of the Italian Sausage is spot on. I highly recommend this place to you! The atmosphere is quaint and welcoming plus they have great people working there. Additionally they have Goose Island IPA on tap. Total score!”
