So, we went to El Giro for lunch today as it is Taco Tuesday. This is the second time we’ve tried this lunch. And the second time we’ve been disappointed.
To start, we had to move to a different booth once we discovered that there were tiny sugar ants all over the booth we were sitting in. Not good.

I’ve been eating at El giro for about 10 years now. it has drastically gone down hill. the last 4 times ive been, service has been AWFUL. this most recent time is the one that rubbed me the wrong way, and has influenced my decision not to eat here again.

The sign on the door that CLEARLY says the use of profane language won’t be tolerated…isn’t worth the plastic it’s printed on. My two year old and my family shouldn’t have had to listen to the provoking, taunting, profane ignorance allowed to spewed from the mouth of a LARGLY ignorant drunk that was yelling across the restaurant DONT TRUST THE WHITE MAN. El Giro Mexican Restaurant offers consistently good food and service, with accommodating staff for dietary restrictions. The food is still just as good as it was then, and the service was fast. They quickly corrected orders. The rice and beans are excellent, and the generous portions of meat in their dishes are appreciated. It is the best Mexican food in Monticello and surrounding area. Taco Tuesday rocks. The restaurant offers wheelchair accessibility with a ramp and handicap parking.
