“Lots of people lime my 278th BBQ restaurant. But my long held position is pulled is better than chopped so chopped gets a deduction. The sauce was good, BBQ was at least tender and and a decent portion. Didnt do sides as the selection was slim, but the added slaw was ok. But as for wholes in the wall, its a place to stop if your in the area of Hull/North Athens and you dont want to venture down to Butt Hut or Smokehouse. The price was good too.“

“Hands down, the best Kbbq spot within a 30min radius of Athens, maybe even further. I've had a lot of Kbbq in my lifetime and this spot ranks really high for me. The side dishes are very traditional and the quality of the meats are very fresh and seasoned great.

The food is authentic and delicious to where you find yourself leaving extremely full, not to get your money's worth, but because it is so dang good. There are typically things you don't get at AYCE, but anything you get here will be good. Everything is of really high quality and tastes great.

The service was absolutely impeccable. Everything moved super quick and the staff was very polite and was very observant of the table's needs and preferences. We had a really great time and were extremely impressed and thankful for our server who was also cooking our meats at the time.

It is super cozy inside, not dark or loud and really pleasant to chat with your table and eat comfortably.
I really wish this place was closer to where I live, but when I am craving Kbbq in the future, I know exactly where I will be going.“

“This place was great all around, so I'll go ahead and get the negatives out of the way first...

Well, really the only negative. Tidiness in the bar area could use a once-over. The floor wasn't really swept that well, and I could notice debris next to the beer taps, like that station could have been wiped down a little bit better.

I sat at the bar naturally, my server was some young, blonde haired gal. I'll tell you, she was on it. She was excellent! I sat down, she immediately gave me my napkin with silverware and menu, and took my drink order, which was a double Woodford reserve on a rock. Asked me if I needed a little bit more time to order which I did, a few minutes later after making my selection, she put my food in.

I ordered the outlaw ribeye, rare, with a side salad and asparagus. The salad, ehhh, I mean it's a salad. The asparagus was pretty good. But my steak?

Oh BOY HOWDY! I am a fan of longhorn steakhouse, haven't been to one in probably the better of a year, But this was a reminder of why I keep frequenting these across the country.

I ordered my steak rare, per the norm. Not only was it absolutely PERFECT, It was teaming with flavor. I cook a lot of barbecue, smoke a lot of meats, make a lot of steaks, and it was almost as good as mine. I ate the entire thing, and I wish I was close to home so I could take the bone home to nibble on hahaha!!!

In an absolute rarity, everything came to under $60. It pays not to drink yourself stupid sitting at a bar I suppose!

Sorry out back, I cheated on you today. I might pop in and see you guys again next time I'm here, but then again, I might very well go back across the street to Longhorns!

“I am not a fan of corporate BBQ.....but I do enjoy theirs. The people are friendly and the food is the same. The ribs were juicy and tender, the pulled pork (my personal favorite) is always a good choice. I am from the south but my taste buds are all over the place, I like a spicy sauce and a mustard base here you can make that happen.“
