“Came for lunch on a rainy Thursday. Not busy. Only two people working and we had five orders, so it took a little time. Menu was confusing, and the video boards are not consistent with the printed menus, so it was hard to figure out what was really available. Some items were not available: Korean BBQ area is under renovation (!?), one spicy ramen option. We did order 1 bubble tea (4/5), 1 tonkotsu and 1 spicy tonkotsu ramen (5/5), 3 poke bowls (4.5/5), 1 calamari appetizer (4/5). Service was a little slow and all at the counter - not sure why I tipped so much as we even bussed our own trays. Overall, food was the star and the rest of the experience was just okay. Also, restroom was blocked off due to renovation.“

“Our first visit, we will be back! Great food. fast, friendly service! Weather was perfect so we sat outside on the deck. Very clean. The food is fresh, they smoke all their meat daily and they use locally sourced produce. They have a full bar. We shared the OG Salmon Chips - house smoked salmon, chipotle cream cheese, red onion & capers on house made potato chips (piucured) they are a little pricey at $16 for 5 servings but are piled high with fresh salmon so we weren't disappointed (they were great). We also had a Garden Chopped Bowl - (thick cut) house bacon, hard boiled egg, corn, red onion, tomato, avocado, bleu cheese and added Pulled Pork (pictured). Very good, highly recommend!“

“Food truck; they were about to close, but went ahead and let me place my order. I had some kind of Shrimp w/ sauce, some type of rice recipe and steamed cabbage (love cabbage). I am not familiar with Jamaican food, but it seemed pretty genuine. The Shrimp was the best I have had anywhere (better than a fancy restaurant, seriously). I ordered the Combo 1. I got to try their pulled pork, sliced brisket, pulled chicken, fried okra, and Mac. The pulled pork is very tender with flavor. The sliced brisket has the most flavor but it is pretty tough. The chicken has decent flavor but better texture. The fried okra was extremely good. I would come here just for that. The Mac is decent. I like their assortment of BBQ sauces. I mix the sweet with the heat.“

“Some a y’all may remember that I lived in Hong Kong for 2 years, and this past Thanksgiving, I decided what I wanted a smoked Duck (especially since the price of an 8-10 lb Heritage turkey was about $150)!😡😡

We heard about HK BBQ from a colleague, and after checking around on cost, this one was THE most reasonable. Whole roasted Duck ($31.99) Half Duck ($16.89) if you’re just curious and want to try. Ducks hang in the window so you can pick out the one you want.

So, a couple things: You can buy the duck, but they don’t sell the “pancakes”. I asked.
The owner, who was very nice told me, “That’s how they do it in Hong Kong, we don’t sell it that way here.” I thought that was curious.. u kno.. since you named your business HK BBQ🙄🤷🏼‍♀️😂

The duck was excellent (even though we didn’t have the pancakes)!
I want to take a moment to mention the facility that the cafe is located in: as you approach the restaurant/cafe there’s a beautiful sitting area that brings the outside in (as you’d expect in Asia). It’s very serene and a nice enclave to have lunch if you have time to stop.

HK BBQ is located in a food court. There are a few other cafes in the court, but from what I saw, they didn’t seem as popular, as HK BBQ were the only ones with a line.

The last thing I’ll say is that their menu is QUITE extensive! It’s two sided, separated by a black and white side. If you dig Chinese food, you’ll have a ball going through this menu!“

“This place is new and they specialize in to-go and food truck service. They're super friendly and everybody seems to care a lot about the food and the customer. No dining area but…
The food is incredible. When you order bbq you say a couple items as an afterthought (Mac and cheese, Cole slaw whatever)… I’m telling you even the SIDES are amazing. The negative reviews are just because it’s not a “restaurant”. The food is too good to describe. I had brisket (how a bbq place is judged) and a smoked chicken quarter. This is definitely a place I’ll visit a lot.“

Some of the little things about the experience make it even better too, like the handwashing station as you come in and leave and the little garbage can on the table to dispose of bones and napkins.
