“Bets place to eat typical Venezuelan carne en vara, the plates are well presented and very generous. If you order a plate for 2 most likely 3 people can eat. Try the fried cheese, you won't regret it. I also had the carne en vara burger and it was amazing. If you are in the area you must visit this place“

I came in asking for help with suggesting and requiring a “hot meal” to take out for the family He replied “I got you”. That he did! The food is fresh, they smoke all their meat daily and they use locally sourced produce. They have a full bar. We shared the OG Salmon Chips - house smoked salmon, chipotle cream cheese, red onion & capers on house made potato chips (piucured) they are a little pricey at $16 for 5 servings but are piled high with fresh salmon so we weren't disappointed (they were great). We also had a Garden Chopped Bowl - (thick cut) house bacon, hard boiled egg, corn, red onion, tomato, avocado, bleu cheese and added Pulled Pork (pictured). Very good, highly recommend!“

I’ve been to all three Lewis Barbecue locations now, and this one in Atlanta—and I’m happy to say the food here is just as good as the OG.

All the meats were cooked and smoked beautifully—super tender and packed with flavor. The sides were just as tasty and really completed the meal.

“We were passing through Roswell on 3/28/25 and found this place about 30 minutes before they closed. They gladly fed us and everything was fantastic. The brisket was amazing (try all their sauces) and the sweet tea was not too sweet. The people were awesome as well! Next time we’re in the area, we will definitely be back!“

“We ate here after seeing Cirque du Soleil nearby with our two kids, 10 & 11. The restaurant was clean, and comfortably decorated. I wasn't worried too much about having what amounts to a grill in the middle of our table with the kids. It's obviously hot, but it's not like you'll lose a hand if you get too close here and there. Service was great. Our server was Yuki. He was very attentive, and explained how it worked, and answered any questions. When our food arrived, Yuki told us exactly what each item was, and exactly how long to cook it per side. Not a cheap place to go, especially with kids, but a nice treat after an otherwise fun-filled day with other new first experiences.“

The food is incredible. When you order bbq you say a couple items as an afterthought (Mac and cheese, Cole slaw whatever)… I’m telling you even the SIDES are amazing. The negative reviews are just because it’s not a “restaurant”. The food is too good to describe. I had brisket (how a bbq place is judged) and a smoked chicken quarter. This is definitely a place I’ll visit a lot.“

I understand how to create irresistible atmospheres, hospitable service and consider myself a foodie as I intermittent fast daily and eat once a day. My meals are important. I have now found not only a place in Atlanta with a fun and inviting ambiance with over the top service but also the absolute best BBQ restaurant in Atlanta, DAS BBQ! Thus far, I have had the BBQ Pork, Ribs, Brisket, Cole Slaw, Potato Salad, Mac N Cheese, Das Corn, Brunswick Stew, and Banana Pudding and IMHO the most important aspect, which is the meat seasoning and the sauces. No offense to my friends in the biz but DAS, hands down, has the best of each of these items! I live on the southside of ATL and gladly will drive for more DAS BBQ. Praying DAS opens on the southside of Atlanta. I will be your biggest raving fan!“
