“The crab cakes with spinach side special was delectable. Price: $38. I thought it would be a great place to meet with a client as people online said it was a quiet place for a good meal; it's almost impossible to find quiet restaurants in Atlanta! Why is that?!Unfortunately, it was extremely loud inside the restaurant, likely because it is popular as the food is so good. I had to raise my voice to be heard by my client, who was sitting two feet from me across the table.Other than the noise issue, I really enjoyed the meal. The waiter Sean was pleasant, accommodating and efficient. I enjoyed the look of the restaurant and feel of the restaurant. It was a delightful culinary experience.“
“Have visited this restaurant weekly over the last several months after being referred by a friend. Recently they started charging for what was once complimentary bread. The service has become poor over the last month, our waitress seemed distressed and definitely wanted us in and out.“
“When you walk in, the ambiance of the different walls, windows, and ceiling provided a cool atmosphere of a restaurant. The waitress was very friendly, knew we were not locals, and offered to get a free piece of chicken to see if it was to spicy because she didn't want us to pay for something we couldn't eat. For me, the breading was spicy but was very good. I ended up pulling it off and just eating the chicken but everyone in my party including my little sister didn't think it was spicy at all. The potato salad was a little too much of a mayo/mustard taste. The bake beans were to die for. The seasoning/flavor was out of this world. I would definitely go again if passing by and or was a local.“
“I haven't been out for breakfast in a while and wanted to do some exploring to get it! When I first arrived, I gave my name, but then when I entered the actual restaurant, there was an issue with being seated. It was strange because I just provided my name and was told to come inside and would be seated right away. I wasn't a fan of this greeting, but I was eventually seated. Upin first flsnce, the decor in the restaurant was cute and super inviting. When I did sit down, I felt very comfortable, and the waitress came to take my order. I ordered a green tea latte, the hot chicken and grits, fried green tomatoes, and got the bleu sandwich to go. Aside from being surprised by the decor, I was pleasantly surprised by how quick my food came! The green latte came in a larger cup than I was was good! The green tomatoes were excellent as well! The breading to tomatoes ratio was perfect, and what took these tomatoes to the next level was they were pickled! The ranch dipping sauce just elevated an already tasty starter, so it was a great start to my meal. I thought the hot chicken and grits were good, but I would have preferred it to be more spicy. I found this part of the dish underwhelming, although it was well seasoned and ate great in one bite. For the portion size you receive to price, the meal is definitely worth it! The staff here is super attentive and friendly! They were cheery towards anyone who came in the door, which sets the tone for enjoyable experience. As I came early, the place wasn't crowded but when I left it was crowded! I will definitely come again and try something different, but I highly suggest coming early to beat the crowd!“
“I had a fantastic time at Twisted Soul, two nights in a row for my weekend stay in Atlanta. The ambience, the vibe, music, food, service and the staff were all fabulous. 3 of the entries I tried and 3 of the appetizers were all fantastic. The chef was super personable and informed us of the otger locations that he also worked at, explained the menus so meticulously that I will definitely be going to check out the next time I'm in town. And the bartender Derek was so super professional and friendly. He took great pride in his mixes. Everything he made was a great experience. I would highly recommend to anybody in the area that they have to partake. But make a reservation because it is not a secret!!!Kid-friendliness: It is very much kid and family friendly.“
“I went to this establishment for the first time to try the $35 3 course menu that happens on Mondays. JT was my server and he was the best! I had the meatballs as an appetizer and they were very flavor. JT recommended I try the fried chicken for my entree and it did not disappoint. The chicken portion was huge and the mac and cheese was my side and was also tasty. For dessert, had the Nanner pudding and was obsessed! It wasn’t overly sweet and was very well made. Will definitely return to try more!Parking is a small lot in the back of the building and is valet…but there is paid parking in the vicinity“
“I absolutely loved this restaurant. Be sure to make a reservation before or there will be a wait but other than that everything was amazing. The food was good 8/10 but the bottomless mimosas is what really put the icing on the cake. Music selection was nice. Overall a great experience here. I was visiting from Houston so I was impressed.“
“I wish I could rate this place higher!! Haven Restaurant and Bar is such a gem. I dined here for the first time last night with friends and everything was simply phenomenal. I had the Grilled Beef Tenderloin which was absolute perfection. The beef was cooked exceptionally well with the perfect amount of salt. The whipped potatoes were nice and buttery smooth and the spinach was the best spinach I've ever had. It was packed with flavor and the bearnaise sauce accompanied everything so well. We also tried the new Grilled Artichokes which were delicious. The ricotta really put it over the top and again, was seasoned perfectly. The staff was also top notch! Our waiter was fantastic beacuse he was so kind and professional and knew the menu back and front. The brunch manager was still there and he was also amazing and so nice. I live an hour away but will absolutely make the drive to come back again very soon.“
“Date night was our objective with our preferred Caribbean vibe. The vibe was much different than it has been in the past, though doable. We weren't especially impressed with the upcharge for the "a' la carte" sides, though the presentation & food prep were overall tasty with ideal portions. The Rum Punch was authentically ddddelisicious!!! Great service, dining & liming atmosphere!“
“This place receives a stellar review in all areas. The staff was very attentive and nice. The patio was open and the atmosphere was a special kind of vibe. We ordered the deviled eggs and Southern Fried Chicken & Country Skillet Cake, which is easy to share. This is definitely on my list to become a regular!“
“Perfection in all levels! My husband and I celebrated a job success on Friday night. We were able to get a last minute reservation. Everything was on point from the service, appetizers, cocktails and main meals. I highly recommend this adorable southern charm restaurant.“
“Me and a colleague visited for lunch on a Thursday. The service and atmosphere was amazing! The food was good but not as good as I was expecting. The sweat potato fries were really good but shrimp tacos were just okay. It was missing something. My colleague did enjoy her grouper and coleslaw. I would recommend this restaurant!“
“Here is an unoriginal take; Secreto is the perfect name of this place because it is the best kept secret in Brookhaven. I have literally never had a bad meal here and the "Community Hour" menu is such an incredible value that it is borderline criminal. The chef is super creative and the specials are always on point, the only "problem" is that the regular menu is ALSO always on point so it can be hard to decide what to get! Big shoutout to our favorite server there, Brittany. She always takes tremendous care of us.“
“Stumbled across this hidden gem in Marietta and so glad I did. This place is BOMB! This is the best soul food I’ve had in ATL. Very reasonably priced and the food quality is amazing. I had the smothered porkchops, Mac n cheese, collard greens and cabbage. The first bite of smothered pork chops made me do a little jig they were so good. Sides were super good too lol. So glad I found this place, I will definitely be back!“
“OMG this place was so good ! We went for brunch though I ordered their Caesar salad and she crab soup. Both were the best I’ve had in a while ! The croutons in the salad were actually fried grits which was a delicious twist lol. 10/10 would recommend!“
“We started with the gouda fritters and the fried green tomatoes as appetizers. Needless to say, everything about these dishes were perfectly balanced. For the fritters, the red chili honey was the perfect touch with a whisper of a kick to the fritter but also not overbearingly sweet. The breading let the gouda do the work for flavor and was the perfect encapsulation for the cheese. For the green tomatoes, the breading was also the perfect crustiness for the tomato and paired beautifully with the red coulis. Aesthetically, these dishes appeared to be as thoughtfully put together as the ingredients were for the dish itself. A strong piece for me that was just as significant for the entire meal was the coffee. It has been well over 18 months, maybe 2 years since I've had coffee this robust without the bean being burnt for strength in the flavor. Lastly, for the main dishes, we tried the Egg benedict on brisket and egg white frittata. Since I didn't steal anything from my partner's plate for the benedict, I will say this is the place where you want to try your first egg benedict and no where else, based on the experience of the appetizers. The server did recommend a biscuit with it since there was no other bread on the plate and her recommendation was well placed but didn't take away from the dish flavors itself. For the frittata, the creativity for this dish was vibrant, fresh, wholesome, light, and bursting with flavor without it being over seasoned. The cheese on the dish was the perfect way to tie in with the spinach, tomato, panko sprinkling, and egg as well. Everything about this meal was to die for and securely placed me into foodie heaven as I could truly relish every bite I took and walked away the most satiated palette I've had in a very long time. 15/10 would make this an absolute must visit spot for brunch and this will be very hard to beat back home.“
“When we arrive we didn’t have reservations. It was definitely crowded. They told us 30 mins but it was actually 15/10. So we set down the service was fast. We order two appetizers the salmon bites and lemon pepper wings. Everything was bussin bussin. For our entrees we order the lamb chops & short ribs those were so delicious. I would come back when I’m in town.“
“A hidden gem for sure!! The food is the ABSOLUTE BEST SOUL FOOD I’ve had in ATLANTA! We enjoyed the salmon, lamb chops, greens, Mac & cheese, yams, and honey corn bread. The greens were PERFECT not requiring any condiments at all! The salmon and lamb cooked to perfection and the yams and Mac & cheese didn’t disappoint. Honestly it was all soooo good!! This is great for day or night date or with family/ friends. Our server, E, was attentive, friendly, and best of all informative on the food and drinks!! The music and atmosphere were a nice adult ambiance to enjoy laughs or even still chat with those you are enjoying your meal. A definite return and a definite must visit if you haven’t been yet! You’ll thank me later ☺️“
“I am so glad I found this gem!! I just moved to Atlanta from Boston (where there’s Haitian food everywhere) so I was little bummed out that there aren’t really Haitian spots out here. But my girlfriend found this place on IG and sent it my way. I ordered online and got the griot plate which comes with the diri kole (rice and beans) and the banan peze (fried plantains) with a side of salad and pikliz. Also ordered a side of the j*** chicken pasta which came with some delicious bread, my order also came with a lemonade and it was one of the best lemonade I ever had. EVERYTHING was delicious the griot was cooked very well still nice and tender people tend to overcook griot but this here was perfect! Portion is great! It’s a 10/10 for me and will not mind making that 30+ minute drive in Atlanta traffic to get it.My only suggestion would be to give the sauce on the side as opposed to putting it on the rice and having Dressing for the salad.Thank you Ted for a great meal, you definitely have a frequent customer now.“
“I have to say I've been to several Jim'N Nick's. This by far was the best location. I've never seen a setup like this. We walked up to place our order and then we went and sat ourselves! Our food came out so fast! My guest and I looked twice at one another! We couldn't believe how fast our service was! I would recommend this location again and I will be back!“
“Cozy intimate restaurant with a nice central bar and good decor. Noise level was okay even at full capacity. The food was okay, steak tartare and fried chicken salad the highlight. The short ribs were served cold and the greens were too salty. Our waiter was extremely inexperienced, he didn’t budge at my comment about the greens being too salty, interrupted us while still eating to ask about desserts and forgot to bring the fried tomatoes.“
“I’m a frequent visitor and I’ve never had a bad experience. The bbq turkey is delicious and the customer service is always great. The staff is extremely friendly and everyone I’ve recommended has returned to become frequent customers as well.I highly recommend this place.“
“This is our favorite lunch spot. The food is always consistently good. I always get the Brie BLT with a Caesar salad instead of fries. We always take home a bunch of their cookies to fill our cookie jar at home. Always our go to lunch spot!“
“This place is amazing! The food is delicious! The place is clean, and the service is prompt. Best brisket I've ever had, and the creamy Mac-n-Cheese is terrific! The fried okra is crispy and seasoned so well. In fact, everything here is seasoned perfectly. Enjoy! You won't regret eating here.“
“One of our favorite go-to restaurants in Midtown. Quick service home cooking designed by one of Atlanta's top chefs makes for a great meal any time of day. We especially love how they take food allergies/intolerances into account. Nearly all the items on the menu are gluten-free!Dietary restrictions: Nearly everything is gluten-free. They have a dedicated fryer.“
“When I tell you Atlanta Turkey Legs is gonna hit everytime and I mean EVERYTIME! I first got to try them last year at Jump-off Juneteenth event, anytime I see them at any event they are my go to food choice. Their turkey legs are always flavorful and juice, Mac & cheese is delicious with collard greens that have a kick to it! If you want the best of their menu please try their big back bowl ( turkey, greens,Mac & cheese,Kandi yams with cornbread) chefs kiss. The staff is always friendly no matter have busy they are at an event or even at their takeout location I. Which they finally moved in the city right in midtown Their takeout location can get really busy as it's a share kitchen space but it's clean and quick once your order is ready.“
“Looks nice outside and inside, love the way the place is decorated. We were told to sit wherever but when we did we got asked to move somewhere else for reservations but the place never got really full on the inside. And It’s funny because maybe off rip the place had a chance at 5 stars , but being that I am a man of color I found it difficult to turn my head and not get weird stares. Mind you I casually came here to dine in with my wife on valentines. We are not sensitive people so we sat and dined any way. Great food . My wife ordered a shrimp basket and she loved it, while I ordered the steak entree. The steak came with Brussel sprouts and sweet potatoes, I am not a fan of sweet potatoes but man the flavors came together beautifully. No complaints on the food 5 stars there“
“Delicious food, tasty cocktails, and great service in a casual neighbourhood atmosphere.Kid-friendliness: Seems like they’d welcome families.Wheelchair accessibility: One floor, no steps, table seem big and high enough to accommodate needs.“
“Wow…I was craving some chicken tonight, thought I might try this place since it’s right across the street from me in Dunwoody. When I tell yall I was not prepared for that first bite.. I thought I was just gonna have a simple little chicken sandwich. NOPE. The fact that these folks can just casually whip up the greatest bite of food you’ll ever taste on a random Thursday night like they just did is incredible. I’ve had Ramsay’s Beef Wellington at Hell’s Kitchen and even that pales in comparison to what Jason sent me out the door with tonight.I’ll be back, and I’m bringing all my friends.“
“Hidden gem! We are visiting Atlanta from Nashville and came across this amazing restaurant. The food is absolutely some of the best bbq I’ve ever had. They also serve breakfast all day. We are coming back tomorrow to try the breakfast burritos. In addition to the great food the service is outstanding. I highly recommended!“
“I’ve been coming here since it opened. Went today craving the wings only to find out they weren’t on the menu. So I ordered tater tots and mac and cheese. The tater tots were great and amazing fried food. But dear god. The Mac and cheese could not have been more of a dumpster fire. Trying to cover up the runny bland sauce by adding waaaayyy too much garlic is not the answer. Please don’t serve this ever. Like ever.“
“Mark and I dine here sporadically because it's convenient to our house and the food is a crowd pleaser for everyone in our group. Parking is free and easy if you arrive early. The indoor dining area is dark and tavern like with tables and wooden booths. It was freezing cold outside and we enjoyed being seated in a booth towards the back. Televisions are mounted around the dining area making it easy to watch a variety of sports with the volume at a reasonable level. Service can sometimes be a little slow but the crew is always friendly. On this visit I ordered the crab cakes and Mark ordered the grouper sandwich fried. We also enjoyed the wine and cocktails which were good and reasonably priced. My crab cakes were decent and a little bland however the provided dipping sauce spiced them up and my fries were hot and delicious and the coleslaw was cool and crisp. Mark loved the grouper sandwich and his delicious tater tots. We like this place for casual dining and can show up in track pants and casual after doing chores at home.“
“Great new place - that already feels like it's been there forever. Service wasn't perfect (forgot a couple of things that we had ordered), but it was a very busy Saturday night, and the waiter was very friendly and apologetic... And the food and beverages were excellent!“
“I believe our waitress name Dee she was sooo polite & patient! She picked out my food && drink and both were on point ! We visited from NYC. The music was good, food SLAPPED! All of the staff was so friendly. Shoutout to Jayla too she was lit with us all “
“Have visited this restaurant weekly over the last several months after being referred by a friend. Recently they started charging for what was once complimentary bread. The service has become poor over the last month, our waitress seemed distressed and definitely wanted us in and out.“
“So this is definitely something that's off the beaten path but it gives a really diner type feel to it. The prices of decent and very reasonable. Definitely do it. They have lunch and breakfast, so you can come at the very top of the day or come and lunch time but they do close after lunch time so you have to get there at a reasonable time. You come in in there a bunch of diner tables there so there's plenty of seating. There isn't anything outside but there's plenty of side. It gives you a cafeteria feel when you do get there. So you basically stand at a long window where they have the food available for you to pick from. But mostly if you come, you'll order and no make it made to order and back style. But the lady who served me rush me a little bit but that was only because they were five other people in lie behind me. It's not really Pat, but they were jumping in line. It did not dissuade me. I was able to get a regular breakfast sandwich (croissant w/ sausage). Which was pretty good. Nothing flashy, but a good sandwich. Warm bread, right off the skillet. I also tried the hot link sandwich which was also great, much better than the basic sandwich. It was a little messy, but, very worth it. Came with hot link and bacon with egg and cheese, it was a winner. I should have got that before I got the regular breakfast combo, because that was just OK. I got a breakfast combo so it came with your choice of sausage or bacon, your choice of hash brown or grits, and a bread. That coupled with eggs, expect a really full meal for under $7. The hashbrowns that came with it seemed like they were more soggy than crispy, and so did the bacon. The eggs were... egg lol you cant really mess those up unless you burn them. Overall I would stick with breakfast sandwiches from there. Maybe next time I will try another sandwich (lunch) or french toast. Will I go back to this spot? Absolutely. Just that semi greasy cafe spoon type feel with good food, I am here for it.“
“If you love chicken salad (and I do!) this spot is a must try. The history of the franchise is really cool. Started by women and to my eyes completely run by women as well! The staff is incredibly friendly and courteous. The amount of variety from traditional chicken salad, to spicy, savory, even fruity, is staggering and definitely warrants multiple trips. I prefer more of a shredded chicken style to their “pressed and scoop” style but that’s merely a preference. The flavors are great and the prices are reasonable as well. Check it out!“
“Their beef is pretty good. I could eat the brisket every day. Wasn't a huge fan of the pork, and the sides I've had are hit or miss, but I haven't tried them all. The greens are ok (not vegetarian/vegan), and I like their chili usually. The chili does get a bit of a scorched taste if you go later in the day. Not a fan of the Mac. It's dry, and just isn't that good. The staff are very nice though, I haven't had any bad experience in that regard. Overall, I will return for the items that are tried and true for me.“
“The food is good southern food. I've been going there for several years. They have a great variety and the food is always fresh. I especially like being able to get a meal with 2 meats and 2 vegetables instead of just 1 meat. I especially like their chicken fingers (fried upon request) and their meatloaf. Give them a try if you haven't already.“
“The friendliest service. Delicious Soul warming southern breakfast food. Second only to Waffle House in terms of breakfast spots. Far cleaner than a waffle house. My favorite order is the Sausage, egg and cheese biscuit with an order of cheese grits. Along with a country fried steak and egg biscuit smothered in Sausage gravy. Hits the spot everytime!“
“Great restaurant. It was packed, but seating was very quick. Got biscuits, gravy and grits. Food was fantastic. Grits were creamy like mashed potatoes. Gravy was rich but light. Service was just the right amount of attention. $54 for 3 to eat.“
“The Mill accommodated our 10 person group for a baby shower when our reservation elsewhere was not fulfilled. The hosts and waiters were excellent and intentional and made our guest of honor feel special. And the food was excellent! The Brie was amazing!“
“This is my second time eating at this restaurant and it is always very good. The food is very consistent! The customer service was top tier and the cashier was very helpful with questions when it came to certain dietary restrictions. The only thing I’d say could be better was that my partner stated that his smothered turkey wings and gravy were lukewarm and needed to be hotter. Nevertheless, we will be back again!I recommend the Fried Salmon, cabbage and fried corn. They are very flavorful!“
“CSC is one of my favourite places regardlesss of the date but i just wanted to highlight that today, was customer appreciation day and i went in due to this reason (becuase yum!) But what i wasnt expecting is a super nice greeting at the door with the free scoop offered! No hidden promos. No nothing, but honestly i did feel appreciated, so just wanted to share that :)“
“Bri was quick to get the order and grab some coffee, and then she helped me order as I was stuck between two options. Inflation is real, two eggs, two links, grits and biscuits $18. Could have gotten eggs Benedict's with a crab cake for that cost. First cup of coffee was hot second was cold. Not sure when it started, but since when did servers begin giving the check before asked for? I was going to order more but the check from server tells me pay and leave....“
“I never thought chicken salad would be the highlight of my day but here we are! I can't believe it took me this long to try, but chicken salad normally doesn't get much of a reaction from me. CSC is an exception. Fresh, flavorful and all of the varieties have not disappointed. The ambiance reflects the food... clean, fresh, and friendly. Love this niche spot.“
“I had the Fried Green Tomato BLT (which is my standard go-to order). The green tomatoes were so hard that I could not bite them. I know good produce is hard to get at times, but I'd rather have not had the sandwich available if the produce was sub-par.“
“Really clean and quiet spot. Friendly service, both fast and attentive. The Three Amigos breakfast tacos are highly recommended. The tacos come with salsa verde, a hot sauce, queso and a sour cream/crema/cream frische(one of those, slips my mind at the moment) on the side. Had homemade cheese grits as the side instead of the "moon dusted" potatoes and the grits were incredible. Stole some potatoes from my wife and daughter though and I can attest to their awesomeness as well.Tip: for the taco condiments, pour a little bit of each on each taco. May look weird but your taste buds with thank you for the tasty mix.“
“Food- This salad was delicious. The salmon was tempted perfectly medium, it was tender and juicy. The greens were fresh and the veggies were nice and crisp.Service- Lionel was very attentive and knowledgeable. He was able to make suggestions based off of my dietary restrictions which is rare as most restaurant employees don’t take the time to listen. Raymond makes a perfect martini and offers great conversation and personality. We will be back!Atmosphere- Clean and relaxing. The decor is modern. The lighting is a little too bright for a dinner setting. A dimmer setting would be great. The high glass windows and view of the pond is also a nice touch!“
“Quirky little place with good food, friendly servers. Prices are decent quality is great with adequate portion size. Highly recommend bring out of town guest, or to treat yourself.Kid-friendliness: Kids will be entertained by the wall decor. Have them count the flying biscuits.“
