“It was my first time there, though I’d seen the place for years. I’d moved to another area of town so I never got a chance to dine there. I recently was in the area and craving barbecue and I remember Jim n Nick’s. Hooray! I ordered the 2lb classic rib with baked bean and Mac and cheese. The mini cheese muffins and sweet butter spread was unexpected and awesome. And 5 minutes later my order was on the table and looking delicious. When I ate the first rib I was in love, food love. The best ribs I’ve eaten so far. I am looking forward to visiting again with friends. I want to experience more items on the menu.“

“I had the incredible pleasure of the Miller Union experience last Saturday. I run a small nonprofit meal ministry program in Gwinnett and I am a colleague of your Executive Pastry Chef's mother. Being from industry, but now serving in a different manner, I must say how satisfying it is to know that considering the major challenges presently in the restaurant industry, you have built a culture of service, professionalism, precision and family that is simply impossible to find. You were flawless on that night. I claimed time out of my busy schedule to treat myself, I didn’t have a reservation but was granted the best seat in the house, at the bar, on the corner, right at the service area next to the ticket stabber and the printer. You might ask, why that seat was so great... well, for the first time in 35 years I had no responsibilities being that close to the start and finish of an order. I knew I was in the right place to do something I'd never done before and that was to take my hands off the wheel and allow the environment to take control. I asked, who I believed to be the Sommelier (sorry can't recall his name)to order for me. Of course he would line me up with the best wines without sacrificing my mortgage payment, lol by my request, but I kept eyeballing those Sailor's Greetings passing by and had to inquire. The Bartender was "straight fire" and gave me the scoop... a reduction of muscadine wine!!!! WHAT!!! Anyway, the Pork Belly, the Field Pea and Peanut Salad, all amazing. When it came to the entree I had to pump the breaks on the house choice... I saw Collard Greens with the Pork Loin... being born and raised in the South, I had to know. The moment of truth, Wow! Okay I had to look this... Unicorn in the eyes. Now it's Saturday night so I didn't expect Chef Steven Satterfield to be present but low and behold, he was there. I couldn't see him because he was doing what he was supposed to be doing... Driving the Bus! So after an awesome experience thus far and a visit from who I believe was the FOH Maestro, Neal MaCarthy, it was on to the reason I was there… to experience the offerings of Chef Claudia Martinez. Her team did not disappoint. Again I left it up to the BOH and BAM!!!...the Doughnuts!!! Just phenomenal. So I wrapped up and called for my car and on my way out I was saluted by GM Vince Landi and informed Chef Satterfield had a moment and he was kind enough to greet me. Needless to say, I was honored and proud of know our industry's best days are ahead of us. Thank you Miller Union and Chef Satterfield for a night to remember and for continuing to carry the torch. “I came to check this place out with family on a random Sunday. I was met by family and made new family accidentally. It was the best time that I never imagined. “Went here on a whim after receiving a gift card from a charity silent auction. Had medium-low expectations thinking “it’s just a place in a random food stall hall.”
Boy was I wrong! The food was absolutely delicious - I got the Salmon Cesar wrap with Brussels as my side. The Brussels are the best I’ve had in ATL! When everyone else is doing balsamic Brussels (boring)… this place is doing yuzu Brussels! Delicious!
My boyfriend got the Nashville hot chicken at the rec of the chef and it did not disappoint. The “fries” are sliced thin like New Orleans style fries and seasoned well. All around a great meal!“

“Super yummy. Food to rave about. So so good. I got the bottomless coffee. I was in the mood for pancakes with fruit and the photos looked good on google. I got the pancakes with bananas and pecans. The syrup was hot and everything just melted in my mouth. I also ordered the shrimp and grits as it is a southern specialty. I wasn't super impressed with the dish in the past at other restaurants, but the photos looked promising. Bluebird's shrimp and grits with cheese was savory, with slightly sweet shrimp, great texture, and I loved the dish. I knew I wouldn't be able to eat it all but still wanted the experience and to try it and took the extra to go. The decor was eclectic and whimsical. I loved the atmosphere. I would definitely recommend supporting this business or bring friends here. You can't get food made like this in a chain. Glad I chose to stop here today. There is a 20% tip added to the bill so expect that when you go. I normally tip at least 20% anyway and tipped more this time.“

“This cozy and very accessible breakfast and lunch diner hit the spot. We were greeted by staff who quickly handed us menus and told us how to order, which is kind of like a belly up concession but they give you a numbered stand and bring the food to your table. We ordered two Nashville chicken breakfasts. The biscuits are nice as well as the chicken and the egg. It was freshly cooked we both just wished we had a little more gravy. The breakfast potatoes are solid, however, the grits were a bit watery for my taste. Timing was nice as well. I would go again.“

“My friend girl brought me to this restaurant for my birthday. I had the turkey ribs, collards, yams and Mac and cheese and the bread pudding, we even tried the fried green tomato,she had the turkey wings. OH ! My gosh the food was sooo, ( never heard of nor had a turkey ribs) it was so tender and the sauce was point on. I don't mind paying a good piece if the service and food is great. When I left this restaurant I took a picture and posted on Facebook, telling everybody I know about this fabulous time at this place and they got to try it out. The service, and my waiter was a 10 .plus“

These tails would be wonderful for lobster connoisseurs and even those who just do not care for it. Why? The crispy, crunch of the batter is full of flavor, delivering a full southern punch to a subtle crustacean. The batter additionally captures the juices within the meat which explodes upon bites. “Got the vegetarian plate. A choice between four sides. I realized after that the collard greens had meat; however, the other sides including mac n cheese, candy yams, broccoli mac & cheese rice casserole were good choices.
Anything fried will take about 10 minutes to prepare.
Thursday afternoon around 2pm the place was packed with about a 15 minute wait in line to order. It might have just been a large family at that particular time.
