“Last week stopped by Big Shanty Smokehouse in Kennesaw, Georgia. I’ve been going here for years and always has been one of my favorite places in Georgia. Paul Holden of Willingham's World Champion BBQ recently took over as the new owner in August and excited to see what he continues to bring. He’s top notch pitmaster in the competition world but also has been in the restaurant business as well. I got the brisket which was amazing and also some of their signature Turkey ribs (Friday Special) and of course some Brunswick stew and Mac & Cheese. Everything was very good and will be back soon. Currently they are open Wed-Thursday 11am-2pm & Friday-Saturday 11am-7pm. (So stop by and see them.) “I have been going to this place for years. Food is always sooo good. Service is fast and people are friendly.
There are premade breakfast items that you choose and they add to a to-go container. Everything I’ve had is good. Items are regular breakfast items - eggs (multiple ways), bacon, sausage, grits, French toast, etc.
Location does have a couple of tables to sit at but I’ve never seen anyone sit inside, there are a couple picnic tables outside and we sit there.
This place is located in the Texaco.“

Every time I visit, the customer service is consistently excellent — the staff always makes you feel welcome and cared for. The food is equally amazing: fresh, flavorful, and always cooked to perfection. You can really tell they put love into every dish. “Stumbled upon this spot while in the area. I'm so glad I did. It has an open inviting dining space and friendly atmosphere. The food was delicious and hit the spot. I ordered the biscuit with fried chicken, goat cheese, and pepper jelly. The pepper jelly gave it just the right amount of kick! I also got a vanilla maple latte which was one of the best coffee drinks I've had in a long time.“

“Absolutely GORGEOUS little hole in the wall. It made an excellent place to stop in to shelter us from the weather (it rained on us🥲). Had their breakfast chorizo burrito with breakfast potatoes. Highly recommend. Enough for a hardy meal or a light snack for 2.“

“This location is nice and clean but also terrible at listening and making our orders correct. I bring an elderly parent here at least twice and week and in eight months of visits, our orders have been 100% correct maybe 25% of the time. Something is is ALWAYS wrong or left off. I’m wondering if someone in the kitchen is literally reading challenged or is everyone just not listening. The East Cobb CSC only messed up once in five years of regular visits and that was because of a computer crash.“

“We celebrated my daughter’s 21st birthday at Bae’s House, and I honestly couldn’t have picked a better place! From the moment we arrived, everything was fabulous. The atmosphere was beautiful, classy, and full of energy, making it the perfect place for such a special celebration.
The food was delicious, the service was amazing, and the entire experience felt so welcoming and upscale. Everyone in our party had an incredible time, and my daughter felt truly celebrated on her special day. ❤

“Visiting Hiram for a wedding. Went here for some peach cobbler. Let me tell you the service was nice, the owner, the sweetest, and the cobbler was slap yo mamma fantastic. Dough to peach ratio was just right. Go check them out , trust me you won't regret anything!!“

“I can't say enough about the food! My son says the best burger he's ever had is the JD's pimento cheese burger. For me it's the Althea chicken sandwich. The staff is great and the drinks are strong. You must try JD's on Main!“

“The crust on the catfish is too thick and the pork chops could be breaded lighter maybe without bones. The waitress and the owner are very friendy and food is generally good and tasty. The desert poetions are undersized but I still enjoy the place“

“So this is a repeat visit. I was given a replacement meal from another location where sand & grit was in my pasta salad. I'm happy to say, no problems this time. I think the wait is long considering everything is pre-made. If also prefer a break on price instead of the number of logos for a fancy presentation. That's just me.“

“Now that thay have added the on line ordering next to the cashier you now stand in line for an extended amount of time..
Orders come in and you have to wait for the cashier to enter orders that came in after you have been standing in line...
Back again 6/14 they still have the same problem line long due to the cashier stopping to enter on line orders.“

“Our male server was fantastic.And the ladies serving up the food in the cafeteria style line were friendly. But the cashier, who's been there for a very long time, was extremely rude on my last visit. She snapped my boss and she would not give me change for a $20, so I could leave a tip for our server. She told me she couldn't, because she needed it for the customers. I was a customer, and she refused to break my $20. I had to end up leaving my server a handful of coins instead of bills.“

“I came to the restaurant on a whim, just checking out the menu with some fam. As I entered the restaurant the front counter lady tall, very dark hair probably.. I needed a few things so as I asked the first question she obliged then I ate a few pieces and asked for the second item and she gave me attitude and rolled her eyes, and walked away with a huff, while I ate my food she constantly was looking at me and making terrible faces, it really ruined my experience there“

“Did the Brunch buffet today. Everything I sampled was good to excellent. Definitely no complaints. All the staff were helpful, courteous, and smiling. JD even played a pinball game with my 2 grandsons. My only complaint, if you want to call it that,was being charged for ice tea. Trust me, that won't stop us from going again. EXCELLENT!!“
