“These are literally the best pot pies I have ever had. New to the area, I ended up in Marietta; stumbling upon Paul’s Pot Pies. I bought a few, gave one to my husband and he immediately lost his mind. It was love at first bite. I’m really not supposed to be eating them, but I do sneak one in every now and then. Shepherd’s pie is my favorite, the next is seafood chowder. If you are looking for hand held comfort food or you want share with others; this is the best way to say “hey I like you, I want your belly to feel like mine” this is the way to do it. I don’t know when I’ll sneak to Paul’s again; but I know I will at some point. Everyone doesn’t have to sneak, so for those that don’t, RUN and get yourself one!!! The staff is always kind and pleasant, I’ve been to both locations. I’ve been happy with both.“
“The salad bar was fresh with a variety of greens! The hot food was very tasty and not overly salty. The dessert bar was good also, it was my first time coming and I look forward to returning. The waitress was attentive as well.Vegetarian options: The vegetables were plentiful and they even had a delicious broccoli casserole. The salad bar had a large variety of toppings.“
“MANNNN! Sometimes, you just gotta drop in on the Mom & Pop Shops for theeee absolute best kept secrets the community has to offer! The staff nice and the dining area was a decent size, clean, and quiet. The parking was minimal. But, it appears to be enough. Looked like most folks were not dining in any way.Now..... ABOUT THE FOOD! ?It was my very first [but definitely NOT last] time patronizing this establishment today just before they closed @ 2pm. I typically try not to go overboard ordering too much in case I don't like the food. So, I made a simple 3 bone sandwich order and went to the car to eat.MANNNN-O-MANNNN! ???I LITERALLY... got out of my car and went back inside to tell them how gooooood those ribs were! ??????They were... SOOOO JUICY, A Lil' FATTY, SEARED ON THE OUTSIDE -- JUST ENOUGH TO GIVE THE RIB A LITE CRUNCH! AND THAT BBQ SAUCE WAS A-MA-ZING!!! ?? ???I definitely have to take my husband back asap!Tysm guys!Parking: Looks efficient for a majority to-go audience.“
“Best fried catfish and tartar sauce I've ever had. My wife hates seafood and fish but even she enjoyed having a few bites off my plate. The pork rinds and hushpuppies were 5 star as well. The service was excellent and super friendly. I highly recommend this place to anyone and I'm excited to come back in the future.“
“TRY IT AND I THINK YOU'LL LOVE IT.Went for brunch, stayed for the conversation. Great Food! Hannah is an incredible bartender, server, public "assister", phone handler, overall awesome! Eggs Benedict!!!! and I could have a drink.I loves eggs Benedict and they did wonderful though I don't like any white of the egg under. The menu description is exactly how I love it which is over medium.School called so wife had to run off for a moment, so I sat and enjoyed my meal and conversation with Hannah until she got back. I'd been meaning to write this for awhile but put off until today. They have a wonderful menu and they serve drinks, which for my celebration was perfect because I could not find Eggs Benedict and even a mimosa for the life of me. This turned out to be great because we found The Flying Biscuit. It's on Barrett between 41 and Old 41 so some may miss it. I also got chicken chorizo something, togo, which I thought was my favorite chicken with chorizo on it but it was chorizo made with chicken. Still excellent.Wife got back and I had food packed togo and she still enjoyed everything when we got back home. I am rushing this and all over the place so I will tidy up another day but it's well worth your time to check this place out. You will probably become a regular. Thank you Hannah and The Flying Biscuit!!Parking: Plenty of parking with many other stores so parking shouldn't be an issue.“
“Man, I really don't f' with chicken or tuna salad like that because I don't eat eggs, and really don't like mayo... But this ish right here.. Ninja! THIS ISH RIGHT HERE Ninja!!! Whoa!! I tried CSC for the first time in Augusta and it was good. So I decided to come here and try it again. Yep! This is a great spot for lunch. I wish they had a store in Forest Park.smh Anyway, I can't wait to come back and try the cranberries and almond chicken salad in a wrap. Side note: If you're a single man like me, this is a great location to bump into beautiful women. Lots of shopping stores around. This ain't the area with a family dollar around, so please act accordingly.lol“
“Our waitresses was very friendly and did an awesome job ?Parking: It's not a large parking lot, but we easily found a spot up front.Kid-friendliness: This is a family restaurant, and they are wonderful with kidsWheelchair accessibility: They have handicap ♿️ parking and bathroom“
“I just ate an appetizer here, don't even remember what it's called and I don't care it was probably one of the tastiest things I've ever ate in my life. So good I came here to leave a review before I even finished paid eating.“
“Stumbled across this hidden gem in Marietta and so glad I did. This place is BOMB! This is the best soul food I’ve had in ATL. Very reasonably priced and the food quality is amazing. I had the smothered porkchops, Mac n cheese, collard greens and cabbage. The first bite of smothered pork chops made me do a little jig they were so good. Sides were super good too lol. So glad I found this place, I will definitely be back!“
“The food here is amazing! We tried the chicken sandwich, mac and cheese, fries, cornbread, and tenders. Everything was absolutely delicious. We ate inside and they even came out to check on how the food was and tell us about the restaurant and the chef. Very impressed - especially for food this inexpensive. We’ll be back soon to try more of the menu!“
“First time eating here. Food is very delicious. I had the Diner Dip and my partner had the Cuban sandwich. He said it reminded him of Miami. For dessert he had the Salted Caramel Cheesecake and I had the German Chocolate Cake. Both very delicious. Our waiter was William D. I highly recommend him as your waiter when you visit. He recommends items from the menu. He is very attentive to your needs. I would give this place five stars. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“
“I’ve lived in the area for years but just noticed the restaurant recently. We decided to order for dinner on a Friday evening, and placed our order online. The online order went smoothly and our food was ready when we arrived at the drive thru. I ordered the blackened catfish platter and my fiancé ordered the crispy catfish platter. Our food tasted incredible! The blackened catfish was delicious, the okra was crispy and the hush puppies were some of the best I’ve ever had. I paired my food with a side of green beans that were cooked perfectly ?Can’t believe we’ve missed out on this place for so long, but we will be back for sure.“
“Good ol' homestyle cooking! Haven't had anything bad yet. The breakfast is good. The lunch is good. Definitely get there early for lunch. The line is usually out the door. I usually get whatever lunch specials they have for that day. But try the smoked meatloaf.“
“Very surprised with the great quality of the food. I had the chicken livers, my wife had the fried catfish and both were very good. Our vegetable sides were good as well. They are in the process or remodeling so the place is a bit rough but the food makes up for it. We will definitely go back soon.“
“My brother took us to Mr. Diddy while visiting him from out of town. The restaurant was very clean and the young lady who took our order was very helpful. I got the wings with fries and collard greens. My husband got the salmon with Mac and cheese and fried okra. We also ordered the soul rolls. My wings were very good as well as my fried. My collard greens were okay. My husband said his salmon was delicious. I ate the fried okra which was really good as well. The Mac and cheese were okay. The soul rolls were delicious! The sauce that came along with the soul rolls was good, but not quite sure if it goes with the rolls. Overall we enjoyed our food and would come back to the restaurant when visiting Georgia.“
“First time visit when a group of 16 men. Service was wonderful and the food was outstanding. Plenty of seating in a nice atmosphere. Thoroughly enjoyed the chopped brisket sandwich with Brunswick stew side. Everyone talked about how good the food was. We will be back!“
“Food is okay at best. It's not the worst you'll ever have considering the price. Service was fine, but they forgot parts of our order. The place was busy, and they appeared understaffed, so I could understand. Took longer than expected to get the check because our server kept having to go back to the kitchen. Another server that wasn't even waiting our table got our check without asking if it was going to be split (I don't know why, as a waitress, you would get the check for a table that you aren't serving), so we still had to wait for our server to get back“
“Catfish night! Good, fresh, homemade food all the time. Great variety, you won't leave hungry!Features: Sanitizer usage enouraged, gloves at buffet. A lot of customers came in with masks on.Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetables, Chinese broccoli/ mushrooms/onion, fresh fruitsWheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible entrance, Staff are very helpful.“
“Where to begin...this will be a long review, so, sorry in advance. Our experience with The Marietta Local began when I reached out to them regarding catering for both my rehearsal dinner and wedding reception. Since then, we have nothing but positive things to say. We have been dealing mainly with the owner, Jim, who has been extremely accommodating to us. Every phone call, meeting, etc. he has been our point of contact, which I feel like is rare. Before we even fully committed to Marietta Local for our catering, Jim invited us into the restaurant for a meal and told us to try whatever we wanted. We were not disappointed! We had meatloaf, nashville hot chicken, grits, quinoa salad, collard greens, plus a couple more items that I cannot recall at this time -- everything we had was spectacular! We were served quickly and the staff was so pleasant. We got to sit down with the chef, Emily, and talk through our menu preferences, and she assured us the one thing we would not have to worry about is our food, she had it all under control; which, for anyone who has ever planned a wedding and knows the stress, this was so re-assuring to us. I cannot say enough good things about Emily. She is an incredible human and an even better chef. That same visit, we got to meet Jim in person. His personality is infectious. You can tell he is genuinely so proud of his restaurants and I think that shows in the food and service they put out. While our wedding events are not until this weekend, 3/15-16, I can truthfully say I do not have a single concern about our food, but will definitely write another review or edit this one, post-wedding. I cannot wait for our family and friends to try everything that we have planned with The Marietta Local!TLDR; service and food is 10/10, whether it is catering or breakfast/lunch dine-in. This spot is a must try!Edited to say: our rehearsal and reception food was out of this world good!! We have gotten so many texts telling us the food was some of the best they have ever had! Absolutely use Marietta Local for your catering needs!!! I cannot sing enough praise for the entire team.“
“1885 is one of those places with the perfect mix of food, price and services that you won’t forget.1885 is located off the beaten path in Acworth, literally hidden by the railroad tracks and a pedestrian bridge, just off Main Street. The atmosphere is perfect for a business lunch/dinner, or an any get together with family and friends. The oversized bar area has more than enough seating, and is surrounded by multiple TV’s to watch whatever sport you’re into. With an enormous wrap-around and climate controlled patio, you can choose inside or out, just about any time of year.I can’t recommend this one highly enough.“
“The food and service are excellent, but every time I have gone, all the tables are dirty and I have to ask to have one cleaned, in which it’s a quick wipe of everything onto the floor. When I look around, every open table is always dirty, with no one addressing the issue. I hope they step up the cleanliness in the dining area.“
“Their beef is pretty good. I could eat the brisket every day. Wasn't a huge fan of the pork, and the sides I've had are hit or miss, but I haven't tried them all. The greens are ok (not vegetarian/vegan), and I like their chili usually. The chili does get a bit of a scorched taste if you go later in the day. Not a fan of the Mac. It's dry, and just isn't that good. The staff are very nice though, I haven't had any bad experience in that regard. Overall, I will return for the items that are tried and true for me.“
“Love eating at Happy Hawg! ? We have been eating here since it opened years ago, and even after the owner retired and sold it, the food is the same and just as wonderful! It is definitely a family-friendly restaurant with lots of BBQ and fried catfish, shrimp, and other fish. I'm allergic to most saltwater fish, so I don't pay much attention to those names. Great sweet tea! Sweet servers and staff. A bit better priced now than it used to be. ?“
“I was not happy with my food at all today. I’m not sure what happened but everything was cold I had to put salt on it all and my turkey wings didn’t have any seasoning on it. This is the first time I’ve had a complaint about the food. I hope Someone was just having an off day.“
“Being gluten-free, I tried the new nacho plate with pulled pork, it was so delicious and alot of food! My 2 adult sons had the same but could not eat it all even! You could easily share! My husband had a pork sandwich and enjoyed every bite. Our waitress was attentive and kept everything filled and fun.Dietary restrictions: I shared about a new nacho chip plate with pulled pork that was a refreshing change and really delish.“
“The first time I went was awesome. Met up with my bestie and good friend. The food was SO good. I have been back since and it did not disappoint!! Can't wait to go again.I hope they'll still have the home fries on the menu...yum. It's the perfect brunch spot. Definitely one of my favs.“
“Great food! Friendly service! $16.99 for a 3 meat combo platter w/ 2 sides is a great value (if you choose ribs as one of your meat, you will get 2 ribs per meat choice). Decent amount of food portion. They have 4 different types of sauces, but there was no label on those sauces, and also the some of the pumps didn't work well (sort of broken) and also the area will need some frequent cleaning and sauce refill. (Minus one star on the Service for this reason). On a Friday evening dinner hours, there were ~4-5 tables of customers. Will visit again if we are in the area and craving for BBQ!“
“After leaving the gym, me and my friend decided to check out Chicken Salad Chick. As we walked it in it gave us a homie/dinner vibe. Staff was friendly and very welcoming. We had the chicken salad sandwiches on wheat bread. The bread was so soft, everything was amazing!!“
“My husband and I really enjoyed our dinner tonight. All of the staff were super friendly and welcoming, especially our waitress Megan. We’ll definitely be requesting her next time. She was super nice and helpful; you can tell she enjoys what she does. The food was delicious. The hush puppies and sweet butter is my fav! We’re excited for our next visit. Thanks again Megan!“
“Dietary or allergy concerns? M&J Home Cooking prepares their vegetables without animal protein - no ham, Turkey or bacon used to season their vegetables; tasty vegetables. Don’t take my word for it, COME and try it for yourself.Vegetarian options: Vegetables are prepared without animal protein - no ham, turkey or bacon used in any vegetable dishes.“
“This kitchen is one of the best around!! I am a very particular eater.. I need to see cleanliness and respect not to mention personal hygiene within the workplace…. When you are dealing with food it’s a must! I am an old school cook … this kitchen has REAL SOUL FOOD…. This food isn’t out of a box mix with water….THEY put LOVE into their kitchen ! If you are a cook , go for your self and test my ratings…. YOU WILL NOT BE DISSATISFIED!! We need more this type food all around . Again, We are Virginians and we know how cook that southern old school food! Give them support !! The prices are reasonable.. like I said if you even know how to cook mac n cheese .. you will know how expensive it is to prepare … it’s DELICIOUS! ! We got 4 plates total .. no need for another restaurant and definitely not fast food while on visiting!! BLESSINGS!!! ???“
“Never Fails the Service is Always Professional, Friendly, and Caring. Food is on Point and Delicious ?Parking: We went with our friends and she is in a wheelchair. PICCADILLY's has ♿️ handicap parking and the doors to building are wide enough for wheelchair.Wheelchair accessibility: We where going to try something else but they weren't handicap accessible. Had no parking for wheelchair and my friend in her wheelchair couldn't fit into the building, so we went to PICCADILLY'S and parked on the handicap parking right up front she fit through the doors cause they are wide enough ? The dining room has enough room for her and her wheelchair ♿️“
“Service was fast and great. Rolls flat and not even 4 year old would eat them. My steak tasted ok but tough but baked potato was old and tough. Daughters sirloin tasted like hamburger steak and she didn't like it. This place use to be great years ago but not so much IMO.“
“First time trying out this place. So glad I went. I got the wings. Their lemon pepper flavor is so good.Friendly service at the register, great food and super clean location. I was blown away by how much food comes with the meal. It truly feels they care about every meal they put forth. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a delicious meal for a pretty reasonable price.“
