“Last week stopped by Big Shanty Smokehouse in Kennesaw, Georgia. I’ve been going here for years and always has been one of my favorite places in Georgia. Paul Holden of Willingham's World Champion BBQ recently took over as the new owner in August and excited to see what he continues to bring. He’s top notch pitmaster in the competition world but also has been in the restaurant business as well. I got the brisket which was amazing and also some of their signature Turkey ribs (Friday Special) and of course some Brunswick stew and Mac & Cheese. Everything was very good and will be back soon. Currently they are open Wed-Thursday 11am-2pm & Friday-Saturday 11am-7pm. (So stop by and see them.) “DELICIOUS, I got the bacon egg and cheese! The biscut is one of the best ive ever had. If was fluffy on the inside and crispy on the outside! There is a bit of a line so make sure to gwt here early but the service is good at theyre jobs and it movea quick so dont let the line fool you. Please go in and try something.“

Every time I visit, the customer service is consistently excellent — the staff always makes you feel welcome and cared for. The food is equally amazing: fresh, flavorful, and always cooked to perfection. You can really tell they put love into every dish. If you’re looking for a place that combines great hospitality with delicious, authentic soul food, RC’s is it. I highly recommend it — you won’t be disappointed!“

“Stumbled upon this spot while in the area. I'm so glad I did. It has an open inviting dining space and friendly atmosphere. The food was delicious and hit the spot. I ordered the biscuit with fried chicken, goat cheese, and pepper jelly. The pepper jelly gave it just the right amount of kick! I also got a vanilla maple latte which was one of the best coffee drinks I've had in a long time.“

“Absolutely GORGEOUS little hole in the wall. It made an excellent place to stop in to shelter us from the weather (it rained on us🥲). Had their breakfast chorizo burrito with breakfast potatoes. Highly recommend. Enough for a hardy meal or a light snack for 2.“

“Go there regularly. Food is always fresh and so tasty! The buffet has lots of options, especially on the salad bar. The staff if friendly and keeps your tea glass full, the tables cleaned, and takes care of any special needs.“

“This location is nice and clean but also terrible at listening and making our orders correct. I bring an elderly parent here at least twice and week and in eight months of visits, our orders have been 100% correct maybe 25% of the time. Something is is ALWAYS wrong or left off. I’m wondering if someone in the kitchen is literally reading challenged or is everyone just not listening. The East Cobb CSC only messed up once in five years of regular visits and that was because of a computer crash.“

“So this is a repeat visit. I was given a replacement meal from another location where sand & grit was in my pasta salad. I'm happy to say, no problems this time. I think the wait is long considering everything is pre-made. If also prefer a break on price instead of the number of logos for a fancy presentation. That's just me.“

“Had a Great fried chicken breast sandwich. Very crispy, well seasoned breaded white breast meat. Best I've had. Chic-Fillet, Wendy's, KFC and others don't even come close. Nice friendly employees. French fries were the best, well seasoned and tasted more like potatoes than any french fries that I've eaten anywhere. Highly recommended!“

“I was not happy with my food at all today. I’m not sure what happened but everything was cold I had to put salt on it all and my turkey wings didn’t have any seasoning on it. This is the first time I’ve had a complaint about the food. I hope Someone was just having an off day.“

“This was my first time at this location. Jessica was at the counter taking my order. She has the sweetest customer service. And then I seen the tall African American manager cleaning and sweeping. Never seen that before. Normally is the associates under them. I like this place.“

“Our male server was fantastic.And the ladies serving up the food in the cafeteria style line were friendly. But the cashier, who's been there for a very long time, was extremely rude on my last visit. She snapped my boss and she would not give me change for a $20, so I could leave a tip for our server. She told me she couldn't, because she needed it for the customers. I was a customer, and she refused to break my $20. I had to end up leaving my server a handful of coins instead of bills.“

“Did the Brunch buffet today. Everything I sampled was good to excellent. Definitely no complaints. All the staff were helpful, courteous, and smiling. JD even played a pinball game with my 2 grandsons. My only complaint, if you want to call it that,was being charged for ice tea. Trust me, that won't stop us from going again. EXCELLENT!!“

“I came to the restaurant on a whim, just checking out the menu with some fam. As I entered the restaurant the front counter lady tall, very dark hair probably.. I needed a few things so as I asked the first question she obliged then I ate a few pieces and asked for the second item and she gave me attitude and rolled her eyes, and walked away with a huff, while I ate my food she constantly was looking at me and making terrible faces, it really ruined my experience there“

“It was our first time and it did not disappoint. Food was amazing, as was the service. The broccoli salad was so good. My husband really enjoyed the pasta salad and mac n cheese. We will definitely eat here again.... we want to try every chicken salad recipe.“
