It was my first time there, though I’d seen the place for years. I’d moved to another area of town so I never got a chance to dine there. I recently was in the area and craving barbecue and I remember Jim n Nick’s. Hooray! I ordered the 2lb classic rib with baked bean and Mac and cheese. I enjoyed Jim ‘N Nick’s low and slow-smoked barbeque. They used original rubs and hickory smoke and make sure every bite of pork and brisket was packed with flavor that melted in my mouth. I could tell they smoked their meat around the clock to use only the freshest ingredients. I will be back for holiday catering.
I did not have a good experience. One of the perks is having bread served. I asked for it but didnt didn't receive it until we were completely done with our meal. People that came after us got theirs before we did. We were not asked about any refills or did they bother to be proactive in bringing it. The service business is going down year by year in these establishments. Some severs do the minimum but want a 20% + gratuity. At this point I tip on service not because you work...read full review
