The food reminded me of Sunday lunches at my grandmother's home. And the banana pudding - none of that jello stuff - made from a dessert roux. Delicious!

We just had lunch at Southern Classic Food, and it was the best southern/soul food I’ve had in ages. I ordered the fried pork chop with fried cabbage and collard greens as the sides. The cabbage was beautifully seasoned and melted in my mouth. The collards were even better — cooked with country ham, pepper and salt. The pork chop was breaded and fried to order. The crust was golden brown and crispy, and the pork chop was fork tender.
