As Trans-Gender woman they took me as any other person who come to the restaurant with out any discrimination. They are such lovely restaurant for some the best barbecue in Georgia hands down. They truly are some the most passionate staff I’ve seen in Ga. Being from Memphis Tennessee, I take my barbecue seriously and from my experience I couldn’t find faults in the service or food. I’ve been served by Drake since I came into the restaurant. He’s truly the best. When I first came in to the restaurant he took care of me and my best friend, with his knowledge of the menu and walking me through the experience of the restaurant. The owners of Ford’s BBQ created an amazing restaurant that show cases true talent for the love of passion with the craft of perfection of BBQ. “Emerald welcomed us with a smile and a heart. Took our orders and had great suggestions. Good came out HOT and fast! Rack of ribs, baked beans, pork sandwich, fries, and the classic one and only Cornbread pudding. Mmmm.

“Consistently good food PLUS great catering customer service. My husband and I found this place while in the area and gave it a try. Everything was delicious—the brisket, the green beans, the Mac and cheese! It’s what I consider real traditional southern good food, no gimmicks needed.
Then I reached out to Monique about catering our wedding and she was very responsive and helpful as we planned the menu. They catered delicious food for our 175 guests and my only regret is underestimating how much people would love the smoked salmon! It’s a must try! My picky grandmother said THAT FOOD WAS GOOD and I think that speaks volumes

“I am here to tell you the CHITTERLINGS or chittlins as true southerners say, were the BOMB!! If I hadn’t wolfed them down once I started eating I would have pictures!! They were tender and delicious (but I DID add a little salt and vinegar) but that’s MY taste no shade on THIS IS IT!!! They went to work on those chittlins. “Now! Before I give you my full review, allow me to say, I LOVE BARBEQUE!!!!! During my friend's day we decided to try a new restaurant. Upon executing a search on Yelp we decided to try out Ray’s. Ray’s sits in a huge strip mall. When you pull in the restaurant is to the far right hand side. Don’t do what I did and go to the left. LoL! Walking up to Ray’s you realize it is hugeeeee. There are two entrances. One brings you into the dining side and one brings you to the order area. Regardless of which door you walk in it’s all connected… As I got to the register, the man in front of me told the cashier “let me get my usual!” This was a great sign for me as it shows that he is a repeat customer. To say I was excited is an understatement. LoL! Taking a moment to take in the menu and the assortment of options I decided on the Ribs Dinner with One Side. After placing our order we took a seat, not before taking pictures with the Ray’s sign so I could let everyone know I was here. LoL!!!! The wait wasn’t too long as before I knew it the waitress called my name and was bringing the order to the table. Looking at the plate I was pleased with the presentation and serving size. I asked for my sauce on the side as I like to see how the ribs taste without sauce first. The Ribs: Moist. Meaty. Well seasoned. Perfectly made. Good quality. Very filling. Overall 10/10. The Sauce: (I ordered the Mild) Flavorful. Not “bottled.” Thick. Perfect hint of sweet to pair with the natural salt of the pork. Overall 10/10. The Yams: The yams weren’t bad. You could taste the “canned” flavor, however, you could also taste the added flavorings that are presented to give the taste of homemade. Overall 6/10. My experience at Ray’s was absolutely enjoyable. The ribs alone provide for a flavor filled, stomach pleasing experience that makes you want to come back. **Oh yeah, I didn’t get to try the mini sweet potato pie, however, it was calling my name. I’ll be getting it next time. HaHa!!“

“We have been staying at Egleston (a mile away) and I noticed someone had ordered Pig N Chic via Doordash. So I stopped in and picked up lunch one day to give it a try.

Everything was fabulous! My husband loved this so much he had me get this 2 days in a row. He loves smoked wings and he was very impressed with these (dipped in lemon pepper). We loved the brisket, okra, coleslaw, baked beans. They also have great sauces.“

The food and drinks are second to none - indulgent and fun from apps to drinks to full plates and sides (we ate a lot!) Katie took care of us and she was the best - nailed the recommendations. Our favorites were Bushwacker, Gene’s Salad and Philly (special).

We’ll be back - for date night and with our kiddos. We had more that we wanted to try than our stomachs would allow for.

“First let me start off by saying whoever the pit master and the cook at your establishment has truly been touched by hand of God himself! You must have big mama, aunt ruby, aunt Myrtle, and all the members of the church motherboard, in that kitchen cooking! I'm talking about the mother board from the " Hold my mule, standing on The Rock of jericho, Apostolic, christian missionary., won't he do it, blessed and highly flavored, the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, pentacostal, holliness church of Josea L Williams drive! I was at my place of employment and could not leave today for lunch. So to my surprise one of my tenants visited your restaurant today for lunch and she was nice enough to bring something back for me. She brought me back some beef ribs, collared greens , and Mac and cheese. From the first bite down to the very last everything was spectacular.
There are quite a few barbecue spots in the city of Atlanta that are good. But Georgia Boy Bbq cannot be touched! You can taste the time that was spent preparing each and every dish.
You can tell that the restaurant owner and his staff care about the product that is being sold. Thank you for being excellent at what you do and most definitely, I have found my new barbecue spot. The portions are a wonderful size. I couldn't even eat the entire plate myself. I had to put the rest up for later. “We ate here after seeing Cirque du Soleil nearby with our two kids, 10 & 11. The restaurant was clean, and comfortably decorated. I wasn't worried too much about having what amounts to a grill in the middle of our table with the kids. It's obviously hot, but it's not like you'll lose a hand if you get too close here and there. Service was great. Our server was Yuki. He was very attentive, and explained how it worked, and answered any questions. When our food arrived, Yuki told us exactly what each item was, and exactly how long to cook it per side. Not a cheap place to go, especially with kids, but a nice treat after an otherwise fun-filled day with other new first experiences.“

No offense to my friends in the biz but DAS, hands down, has the best of each of these items! I live on the southside of ATL and gladly will drive for more DAS BBQ. The food is fresh, they smoke all their meat daily and they use locally sourced produce. They have a full bar. We shared the OG Salmon Chips - house smoked salmon, chipotle cream cheese, red onion & capers on house made potato chips (piucured) they are a little pricey at $16 for 5 servings but are piled high with fresh salmon so we weren't disappointed (they were great). We also had a Garden Chopped Bowl - (thick cut) house bacon, hard boiled egg, corn, red onion, tomato, avocado, bleu cheese and added Pulled Pork (pictured). Very good, highly recommend!“

Beef tendon skewer. Sweet and sour pork. The 1664 blanc beer. The assortment of drinks offered is very good. Great service. Hime made kimchee is a must order. I want to come here one a week forever. After executing a search on Yelp, I came across GQ BBQ and we decided to pull up. Y’all know I love me some BBQ. Upon arrival, the location was super to find as it sits on the main road. When pulling into the parking lot there is parking on both sides as well as parking in the back. The outside was clean and vibrant. We knew we were in for a treat as we were able to smell the bbq before even getting to the restaurant. Yes, the power of a good aroma to captivate the sense of smell. 😜 Heading inside, the location kept with the vibrant color on the walls as to draw your eyes to the menu. There are ample seating options as well so if you desire to eat in as we did, there is indoor and outdoor seating. Taking some time to review the menu, I decided on the Rib Dinner with Baked Beans, Collards, and I ordered two orders of cornbread as well and decided to not get the white bread that comes with the meal. To note, the cornbread is an extra charge. Once our order was placed, we took a seat and enjoyed the games that were playing on the televisions. As we were engrossed in conversation, before we knew it, our food was ready. I retrieved my plate and headed to my seat. The moment I opened that plate, my entire life smiled. After being enticed by the aromas, I was now overtaken by the visual presentation of this meal. As I opted for the sauce on the side, I was able to see the ribs in their naked state and capture the full fragrance of seasoned pork without the coverings of sauce. Babeeeeeeeeeee, GQ BBQ showed off with this meal. Let’s talk the food: Ribs: well seasoned, tender, meaty, minimal gristle, the right amount of fat for a nice chew, great portion size as the dish comes with ribs and rib tips. The sauce was an added layer of joy. I opted to mix their Gresham blend with the Sweet and my mouth had a full mouthgasm of robust flavors, joy, and excitement. These ribs were the absolute bomb with or without the sauce. Baked Beans: perfectly cooked, well seasoned, fresh. Collards: well doctored, tender,perfect pairing for the ribs. Cornbread: absolute gold status, perfectly sweet, cakey with a light crumble, buttery, golden baked, worth the extra cost. The cornbread is slightly small, so I would suggest getting three. LoL. Overall, GQ BBQ was an amazing experience. The ribs dominate the meal as they should, however, the sides compliment the ribs very well. The entire meal is a 10/10 and I will be back very soon for another order. Though I live nowhere near GQ BBQ, I will make sure to make my am way back a few times a year to have my soul fed and taste buds tantalized.“
