“My husband and I love to find a good Brisket sliced bbq. While on the job my husband had lunch here and came home (an hour away) bragging about how good it was. Naturally, I’ve got to try it…..it is soooo good! I highly recommend it and will be back. Very welcoming and friendly. Our server was excellent and recommended the Alabama White sauce, I haven’t had any this good since I first tried it and fell in love with it. This place is a must try if you’re in the area. Thanks for a delicious experience.“

“Y'all I live right down the street, I've been to the liquor store where this Pit house is stationed many times and never really paid it any attention so when the GPS took me here to fulfill my BBQ craving I was skeptical 😅 but I was shocked to learn this place serves some really good food. Her portion size for her price is unbeatable. She gave me Ms Cleo vibes too😍 lol she was kind to me, I mean she greeted me when I walked up to the window and was swift with my plate. Idk what more you could ask for. I got the large rib tips plate with the 2 sides (mac & collards) & it was only $15. It also came with a slice of bread on top but I immediately grabbed that and munched it down. She does not take card payments but she does have a sign up that gives you the option to apple pay or cash app. Thank you so much ma'am. I got full and couldn't finish it. I will suggest getting the BBQ sauce on the side like I did so you can have other dipping options at home. I also got the banana pudding and it was the jello pudding kind idk if I'm saying that right but it was ok. I will definitely be returning to try the chicken next.“

“The ribs and rib tips are meaty, juicy, and well seasoned! The mac and cheese is creamy and decadent! The greens are smoky and delicious, and the baked beans are sweet and tangy! The chicken is also moist and flavorful! I will be going back on Fridays and Saturdays when the restaurant is open. I also plan on placing a catering order for the Holidays!“

“Really great service (save one bad experience when they had electrical problems) and yummy food that’s a twist on Florida/Alabama bbq. I love the use of fresh herbs on most of the plates and pickled things, and most everything I’ve tried is full of umami. This is not a place to go obviously if you want a light meal - full fat, full cream - southern comfort food. I do wish they had a few lighter healthier options on the menu for times when you’re with a group but don’t feel like eating something heavy. Biggest complaint would be that there’s too much salt on everything. Overall this is really great restaurant with awesome atmosphere and great wait staff.“

“My friend girl brought me to this restaurant for my birthday. I had the turkey ribs, collards, yams and Mac and cheese and the bread pudding, we even tried the fried green tomato,she had the turkey wings. OH ! My gosh the food was sooo, ( never heard of nor had a turkey ribs) it was so tender and the sauce was point on. I don't mind paying a good piece if the service and food is great. When I left this restaurant I took a picture and posted on Facebook, telling everybody I know about this fabulous time at this place and they got to try it out. “We ate here after seeing Cirque du Soleil nearby with our two kids, 10 & 11. The restaurant was clean, and comfortably decorated. I wasn't worried too much about having what amounts to a grill in the middle of our table with the kids. It's obviously hot, but it's not like you'll lose a hand if you get too close here and there. Service was great. Our server was Yuki. He was very attentive, and explained how it worked, and answered any questions. When our food arrived, Yuki told us exactly what each item was, and exactly how long to cook it per side. Not a cheap place to go, especially with kids, but a nice treat after an otherwise fun-filled day with other new first experiences.“

“Gina is a great server. i walked in an hour before close with three folks from Australia for some BBQ. We had a feast! Gina told us about her faves, gave us a little Pit Boss history, and served us some fantastic ‘cue. I had sliced brisket, some fantastic Brunswick (aka “camp”) stew, and tried several of my friend’s’ sides. Don’t sleep on the collards. I’m really picky about barbecue, but they’re hot barbecue sauce was great. Also, the owner has his own recipe for pepper sauce for the collars, and it was outstanding. I was even impressed with the potato salad and coleslaw, both really good. One friend had some cheesy, creamy mashed potatoes that were fantastic. The baked beans were good, but quite sweet, and frankly, much improved with a dash of the pepper sauce. Portions were ample. Beer selection was really good! I went home with food, and ate it again, another day very happily.
Note: they have moved from their much smaller digs across the street, and I believe the owner now owns this building. It is much improved and really a nice space. I loved it. I would definitely recommend it.“

We had a variety ordered: chicken skin (both grilled, which was sweet glazed, and fried), special beef skewer, fried tofu, egg fried rice, spicy noodle soup, cauliflower, dried tofu cilantro skewer, grilled corn, grilled squid, green pepper skewers. I had a hot salmon sandwich and there was soooo much salmon on it it was spilling out. My daughter had the beef brisket nachos and has not stopped talking about how much beef brisket was piled on them. “Our first visit, we will be back! Great food. fast, friendly service! Weather was perfect so we sat outside on the deck. Very clean. The food is fresh, they smoke all their meat daily and they use locally sourced produce. They have a full bar. We shared the OG Salmon Chips - house smoked salmon, chipotle cream cheese, red onion & capers on house made potato chips (piucured) they are a little pricey at $16 for 5 servings but are piled high with fresh salmon so we weren't disappointed (they were great). We also had a Garden Chopped Bowl - (thick cut) house bacon, hard boiled egg, corn, red onion, tomato, avocado, bleu cheese and added Pulled Pork (pictured). Very good, highly recommend!“

I’ve been to all three Lewis Barbecue locations now, and this one in Atlanta—and I’m happy to say the food here is just as good as the OG.

All the meats were cooked and smoked beautifully—super tender and packed with flavor. The sides were just as tasty and really completed the meal.

“My sister and I are both well-traveled. We've enjoyed barbeque at top restaurants in places like Thailand, Fuji, Morocco, Hawaii, Australia, and Toronto. Having done so, we continue to return to our favorite BQ restaurant Rodney Scott’s Whole Hog BBQ. Rodney Scott’s barbeque set the standard for not only Atlanta, but world-wide restaurants. R.S.W.H.B.B.Q is more than “exceptional”. The portion sizes are huge, the vegetables are well seasoned, the potato salad is kick your shoes off good. However, the pork ribs, boned in chicken, and brisket exceed the norm on taste and desirability. The BBQ meats are so delicious that you will find yourself eating first, second, third...
