“Now! Before I give you my full review, allow me to say, I LOVE BARBEQUE!!!!! During my friend's day we decided to try a new restaurant. Upon executing a search on Yelp we decided to try out Ray’s. Ray’s sits in a huge strip mall. When you pull in the restaurant is to the far right hand side. Don’t do what I did and go to the left. LoL! Walking up to Ray’s you realize it is hugeeeee. There are two entrances. One brings you into the dining side and one brings you to the order area. Regardless of which door you walk in it’s all connected… As I got to the register, the man in front of me told the cashier “let me get my usual!” This was a great sign for me as it shows that he is a repeat customer. To say I was excited is an understatement. LoL! Taking a moment to take in the menu and the assortment of options I decided on the Ribs Dinner with One Side. After placing our order we took a seat, not before taking pictures with the Ray’s sign so I could let everyone know I was here. LoL!!!! The wait wasn’t too long as before I knew it the waitress called my name and was bringing the order to the table. Looking at the plate I was pleased with the presentation and serving size. I asked for my sauce on the side as I like to see how the ribs taste without sauce first. The Ribs: Moist. Meaty. Well seasoned. Perfectly made. Good quality. Very filling. Overall 10/10. The Sauce: (I ordered the Mild) Flavorful. Not “bottled.” Thick. Perfect hint of sweet to pair with the natural salt of the pork. Overall 10/10. The Yams: The yams weren’t bad. You could taste the “canned” flavor, however, you could also taste the added flavorings that are presented to give the taste of homemade. Overall 6/10. My experience at Ray’s was absolutely enjoyable. The ribs alone provide for a flavor filled, stomach pleasing experience that makes you want to come back. **Oh yeah, I didn’t get to try the mini sweet potato pie, however, it was calling my name. I’ll be getting it next time. HaHa!!“

“The experience we had with Mr.Dameione and Magnolia BBQ far exceeded our expectations. Coming from New Orleans we are critical of food from other places....but Nola.... Magnolia BBQ gave us a run for our money. The food was wonderful.They were professional, they were set up and ready to serve before our group even arrived. They were courteous and attentive to our guest from start to finish. I would recommend this business 100 times again and again. I cant wait to party again in Atl. “We had our first, and way overdue (!!!), time at Gene’s and damn we were we blown away. The food and drinks are second to none - indulgent and fun from apps to drinks to full plates and sides (we ate a lot!) Katie took care of us and she was the best - nailed the recommendations. Our favorites were Bushwacker, Gene’s Salad and Philly (special).

We’ll be back - for date night and with our kiddos. We had more that we wanted to try than our stomachs would allow for.

“I could write an article on DAS but I have to keep it brief. I understand how to create irresistible atmospheres, hospitable service and consider myself a foodie as I intermittent fast daily and eat once a day. My meals are important. I have now found not only a place in Atlanta with a fun and inviting ambiance with over the top service but also the absolute best BBQ restaurant in Atlanta, DAS BBQ! Thus far, I have had the BBQ Pork, Ribs, Brisket, Cole Slaw, Potato Salad, Mac N Cheese, Das Corn, Brunswick Stew, and Banana Pudding and IMHO the most important aspect, which is the meat seasoning and the sauces. No offense to my friends in the biz but DAS, hands down, has the best of each of these items! I live on the southside of ATL and gladly will drive for more DAS BBQ. Praying DAS opens on the southside of Atlanta. I will be your biggest raving fan!“

“First let me start off by saying whoever the pit master and the cook at your establishment has truly been touched by hand of God himself! You must have big mama, aunt ruby, aunt Myrtle, and all the members of the church motherboard, in that kitchen cooking! I was at my place of employment and could not leave today for lunch. So to my surprise one of my tenants visited your restaurant today for lunch and she was nice enough to bring something back for me. She brought me back some beef ribs, collared greens , and Mac and cheese. From the first bite down to the very last everything was spectacular.
There are quite a few barbecue spots in the city of Atlanta that are good. But Georgia Boy Bbq cannot be touched! You can taste the time that was spent preparing each and every dish.
You can tell that the restaurant owner and his staff care about the product that is being sold. Thank you for being excellent at what you do and most definitely, I have found my new barbecue spot. The portions are a wonderful size. I couldn't even eat the entire plate myself. I had to put the rest up for later. Thank you so much to Ms. King for bringing me lunch./dinner today and thank you Georgia Boy BBQ for being a cut above the rest. okay i have typed enough lol. .... See you guys next week“

“If you appreciate and enjoy a good Brisket, you have to try the one here. I have had the plate as well as the sandwich, which is over stuffed with just the right amount of sauce. Melt in your mouth good.“

“I just ordered from Rickette’s and my food was absolutely delicious. The mild sauce definitely added that extra kick. I had to wait a bit for my order, but every bite was piping hot! Omg! The owner was very nice and showed appreciation for me trying them out for the first time. And I failed to get her name, but Miss Mamas with the blue brows and hair was the absolute sweetest. I will definitely be back. The turkey tips and chicken was worth the visit. I didn’t get to take a photo of the fried okra lol it was too good! And crispy!“

“The food is pretty good, but I cannot put their burger on my list of favorites. The macaroni is tasty, and the potato salad is OK.

Hubby had the rib sandwich this time but said their bbq chicken tastes better.

“Visted Sonny's BBQ today for a take-out. I've eaten inside a few times, as well. We always order an individual Sonny's sampler @$21.39 with 4 meats, 2 sides, and cornbread or garlic bread. We think it's worth it because they usually give generous portions and the food is always good. The cornbread, tonight, was questionably dry, tho. But,  otherwise we both enjoyed our dinner. I really like being greeted when I arrive, and they ALWAY do, as well as say goodnight. Rare for service in the Atlanta area. They always make us feel really welcomed. “Very good! Tried the salmon, wings (cooked on wood), fried broccoli, and greens. Would definitely come back! The salmon was good, but just a tad bit dry for my preference, but the flavor was definitely there! The wings were perfect! Nice and juicy and they had like a wood smoked flavor would RECOMMEND! The fried broccoli was absolutely addictive! The greens weren’t my type of greens. They were a bit sour but not in an old type of way, but in a vinegar way (not my style). “My friend girl brought me to this restaurant for my birthday. I had the turkey ribs, collards, yams and Mac and cheese and the bread pudding, we even tried the fried green tomato,she had the turkey wings. OH ! My gosh the food was sooo, ( never heard of nor had a turkey ribs) it was so tender and the sauce was point on. I don't mind paying a good piece if the service and food is great. When I left this restaurant I took a picture and posted on Facebook, telling everybody I know about this fabulous time at this place and they got to try it out. After a day of errands, Shauni and I were ready to eat. After executing a search on Yelp, I came across GQ BBQ and we decided to pull up. Y’all know I love me some BBQ.

Upon arrival, the location was super to find as it sits on the main road. When pulling into the parking lot there is parking on both sides as well as parking in the back. The outside was clean and vibrant. We knew we were in for a treat as we were able to smell the bbq before even getting to the restaurant. Yes, the power of a good aroma to captivate the sense of smell. ?

Heading inside, the location kept with the vibrant color on the walls as to draw your eyes to the menu. There are ample seating options as well so if you desire to eat in as we did, there is indoor and outdoor seating.

Taking some time to review the menu, I decided on the Rib Dinner with Baked Beans, Collards, and I ordered two orders of cornbread as well and decided to not get the white bread that comes with the meal. To note, the cornbread is an extra charge. Once our order was placed, we took a seat and enjoyed the games that were playing on the televisions.

As we were engrossed in conversation, before we knew it, our food was ready. I retrieved my plate and headed to my seat.

The moment I opened that plate, my entire life smiled. After being enticed by the aromas, I was now overtaken by the visual presentation of this meal. As I opted for the sauce on the side, I was able to see the ribs in their naked state and capture the full fragrance of seasoned pork without the coverings of sauce. Babeeeeeeeeeee, GQ BBQ showed off with this meal.

Let’s talk the food:

Ribs: well seasoned, tender, meaty, minimal gristle, the right amount of fat for a nice chew, great portion size as the dish comes with ribs and rib tips. The sauce was an added layer of joy. I opted to mix their Gresham blend with the Sweet and my mouth had a full mouthgasm of robust flavors, joy, and excitement. These ribs were the absolute bomb with or without the sauce.

Baked Beans: perfectly cooked, well seasoned, fresh.

Collards: well doctored, tender,perfect pairing for the ribs.

Cornbread: absolute gold status, perfectly sweet, cakey with a light crumble, buttery, golden baked, worth the extra cost. The cornbread is slightly small, so I would suggest getting three. LoL.

Overall, GQ BBQ was an amazing experience. The ribs dominate the meal as they should, however, the sides compliment the ribs very well. The entire meal is a 10/10 and I will be back very soon for another order.

Though I live nowhere near GQ BBQ, I will make sure to make my am way back a few times a year to have my soul fed and taste buds tantalized.“

The reason for the 4stars is because my very very very 1st x coming here I tried a gyro ? & wings. The gyro was DISGUSTING & COLD!! However, the wings were GOODT. The ribs was very tender and sides are well seasoned,veggies are fresh not canned absolutely DELICIOUS.
