“I went here off of seeing it on Google. I ordered the Turkey Wings, rice, yams, Mac and cheese. The other plate it was fried chicken and Mac with cornbread on both plates. When I tell you everything was perfect from the customer service, Atmosphere, portions, you can tell that these folk have a passion for whipping these delicious meals. Run don’t walk!!! My new soul food hidden Gem!!!“
“I love this place I been going to this place me and my family for years and I'm talking years I'm 32 and I been going there since I was like 17 years old this place is what I call good home cooking I love the food it's amazing and I'm originally from New Orleans but this is far by the best soulfood I've had then I'm a foodie lmao so yea but no the Mac and cheese is awesome the chicken is full of flavors I love it . I need the recipe for the Mac and cheese.“
“JenChan’s is one of my favorite restaurants! The food and cocktails are delicious. I have not had a dish there that I didn’t love. The margarita pizza, rice bowls, and ginger margaritas are my favorites! Not only is the food amazing, the service and employees are absolutely wonderful. A 10/10 must try restaurant!“
“Sunday Brunch was really good. Chicken was seasoned well and waffles were light and fluffy! Owner had an awesome spirit about her. Music and atmosphere was on point. Our waitress was a swertheart,, I forgot her name but she had a boot on her foot! My son loved his rasta pasta... and he hates everything!!!!“
“I never give 5 stars but this place has been so consistently good over the years that I have to give them their props. Never a bad meal. Never a bad service. Not once have I left disappointed. Well... There was that one time they ran out of fried green tomatoes ... But that's it. My faves included the breakfast enchiladas and chefs omelette. For sides, the aforementioned tomatoes (try it with the Lemon Pig table sauce, sooo good) and salmon croquettes which tastes JUST like my mom's. The menu is a combo of truly unique and tried and true so it's a crowd pleaser. It gets really busy on the weekend. They run specials like this local trout plate (cooked 1 of 3) ways with a side and biscuit or cornbread. A whole fresh trout. I had mine blackened w grits and a biscuit (ask for lemon wedges). Fantastic!Kid-friendliness: Kids menu“
“One of the best meals I've ever had. If I had to put it simply, it's simple ingredients / meals prepared to a whole 'nother level. Highly recommend sitting at the bar so you can engage with the incredibly friendly bartenders.“
“Hattie B's is the place to be! My husband and I love to eat here and try the various spice levels of chicken. Personally, I will go no higher than medium, but he will go up to "Hot Hot."Generally we get the dark chicken plate (various spice levels), and jalapeno creamed corn, fries and collard greens. Plus a banana pudding, of course.Parking can be a challenge, as they only have a few spots. You can park at the lot next door, but it is paid and closely monitored.Kid-friendliness: Open area outside for kids to play in.“
“The food was amazing and delicious and fresh and creative , and I say tasty. The service is spot on and attentive and personable and caring. The atmosphere was vibrant with a lot of energy, and I'm getting old, so forgive me for this, but just a tad loud.It is fun and get your reservation soon.“
“Just call me “love bug” because we are family now! Make the trip South of Atlanta and hit up Mr Styles Family BBQ. That jerk chicken, rib tips, “MAC N CHEESE!!!!” collards… just the whole menu: FIRE!You walk in the door and everybody is just nice and ready to serve. We’lll be back! Thanks Nr & Mrs Styles (Family)!“
“I went to location across from the Aquarium. From the hostesses to my amazing Server Janiece, the entire experience was awesome! I had the Chicken and waffles and they were good. Both hostess (didnt get her name) and my waitress Janeice recommended the peach cobbler. Having never had peach cobbler I got it on the side. The chicken was flavorful and had nice crunch to it. The peach topping was nice. I cant wait to go back and try the chicken and biscuits w/black pepper gravy. 10 out of 10 from overall experience.“
“Me and my sister were visiting Atl and were told to visit this spot. We went on Thursday 3/28 and had a server named Brandi, she was by far the best server I have ever had. Good customer service, very attentive, very pretty, food and drinks were amazing. I got the bang bang shrimp and it was amazing. My sister got the sweet tai chilli wings. Good food, good drinks GREAT SERVICE. If you're visiting ask for Brandi and she will definitely take care of you. We will be back“
“Totally great experience !We we're in back town for the She Believes Cup Soccer Games and Visits to The Aquarium, and World of Coca-Cola.Obviously, starving afterward, we searched for a place to eat. The reviews were spot on !Warm greeting , attentive service, and the meals were amazing. We will definitely be returning on our next weekend trip to Atlanta. Thanks to our server, Tito, for the great dining experience !!“
“Food was great...we were worried Easter weekend would be full but no problem getting in....me and my friends love the grits and biscuits, we always leave there feeling happy because it is our comfort happy food place! Clea, Le, La ?We will return!“
“The service was excellent, the server Freddie was very patient with our party of 10 to make sure all our orders was correct. And the food was delicious. The only thing that they really need to work on and improve is that they need to be able to give individuals their separate ticket. It makes no sense to anyone that if you have a Party of 10 or more they will only give one check for the whole table and only take a card not cash. Now that part just is not welcomed.“
“Stopped by G. Garvin’s Low Country Restaurant on my way from ATL to Orlando. Although everything looked and smelled great, I tried the Shrimp & Grits with a side of garlic green beans. I almost never finish a plate of food the size of what I received (it would have normally been at least 2 meals)! But, it was so wonderfully delicious, I ate the whole thing between the waiting area and the plane! I couldn’t wait to return home to ATL, and prayed I would return to the same terminal! I did, and picked up another order—this time with a side of broccoli—excellent again. I definitely WILL go back again to try other things, even if I have to leave home earlier, if my flight is not leaving out of Terminal ‘A’!!!The 3 for the atmosphere is only because it was the airport, after all! Can’t wait to try his Midtown Steakhouse—no doubt it Eli be a 5 across the board!“
“This! THIS! This is....the best soul food spot EVER! Sitting directly across from West-End Mall in historic west-end, not far from Spelman, Morehouse, and Clark Atlanta Univerities, stop here for lunch and get all your soul food favorites: macaroni & cheese, cabbage, candied yams, and the best ribs, period...“
“I traveled to this location due to a recommendation. I’m glad I did!!! Let me just say, don’t let the outside fool you!!! The food was the bomb!!! Me a my dude both got grilled pork chops, eggs, hash browns and grits!!!! He gave it a 7/10 I gave it a 8.5..9/10!!! I love when food makes me happy!!!“
“I like to support local spots when I’m in area for business. This is a winner, the cabbage is so good, had to go back and order more. I wanted to try the key lime cake, and so did many others who ordered after me. They were sold out. Next time for sure.“
“From out of town, decided to try on a whim as I like home cooked chicken, the chicken is on point with a slight kick to it and boy oh boy does chicken fit the bill for delicious with no disappointment. The beans compliment the chicken and if anything completes the flavor one comes to expect when having chicken with fried pickles, on that note the fried pickles have a great flavor all their own and rounds out the meal. Thank you.“
“Awesome place for brunch. Never had a wait. Service is impeccable. Food is amazing. Unique menu. Our favorites are the banana foster pancakes, grits, biscuit, breakfast burrito. This place has turned into one of our go tos!Vegetarian options: Mostly tofu-based alternatives but there options that don’t have tofu in it.Parking: Limited parking however we have never had an issue when we come. Depends what time you come! When it’s crowded during brunch time, it can be worse.“
“Having been to some terrible places in airports makes this gem even more of a standout. Fantastic blackened catfish over rice and beans, perfectly done tater tots, and a huge beer selection. First time here (somehow), but I'm immediately going to be back here the next time I have a layover in Atlanta.“
“This was my second time at this restaurant. Both times were pretty good experiences for the most part but this visit was better than the first. Each time I ordered veggie plates. Two on the first visit and one this visit. Everything was delicious this time. The first visit I didn’t care for the dressing or the Lima beans. When I was in there this last time I overheard a more frequent customer talking to the person she was with saying that some of the food be a hit or miss. I was a little disappointed with the strawberry cake because I asked the young lady was it boxed and she said no…. It definitely tasted boxed.Overall, good experience. Will return and would recommend.“
“I was welcomed with a smile! Me and my son csme after church ⛪ Today I ordered our food and proceeded to the " Blue light" lol to wait on our food. The nice gentleman behind the counter was extremely nice and friendly. He gave my son a few compliments on his Easter suit and then gave him a cup and said hey tell your daddy to get something to drink. Mind you I only had one cup which was mines. I thought it was not only a nice gesture but the fact that he gave us any conversation at all is 5 stars most of these business do not appreciate their customers...smh..the ribs were delicious ?. My Dad brought me some Saturday was my first time tasting them! Just know I was back on Sunday getting some more lol.“
“I got to say hands down, this place was worth every bite. I'm a trucker so I typically eat truck stop food. I happen to stop to do my DOT reset at the Pilot 2605 Bouldercrest Rd, Atlanta, GA 30316 . Which meant I was here for a whole day. As I was about to order Wendy's. I decided to just do a quick google search to see if anything was open. Just so happen to find this Amazing place K1 & Des Southern Spoon. Just so happen this place was open 3pm to 3am, I decided to take a walk to see what they were about. It took me less than 5 min to walk there from the truck stop. Boy was it woth it. I literally ate there 3 times, in the time of being here. So if ever in the area and you hungry try it, you wont regret it.“
“I love the down to earth atmosphere here. Home style cooking and sweet women with amazing personalities. The food tops everything and was delicious and I would definitely recommend and return. I had French Toast with eggs and my husband had salmon croquettes with grits…and hands down closest to grandma’s than you can get anywhere else. So if you’re out in Atlanta stop in and have some home cooking here. You won’t be disappointed!!“
“This was my first time coming to this restaurant. Dropped my son off for an Interview with Delta and needed somewhere to relax until he was done. Not only was the food tasty, with a great positive and clean environment, thr staff was super friendly! I was so pleased with my food that I decided to get desert to go! I am happy to say that I will be recommending my friends as well as visiting again. Very nice place.“
“Today I had the privilege of eating and photographing at Aimer ATL.FRIED LOBSTER TAILSToday I had the experience of trying the Fried Lobster Tails, and they were delectable. These tails would be wonderful for lobster connoisseurs and even those who just do not care for it. Why? The crispy, crunch of the batter is full of flavor, delivering a full southern punch to a subtle crustacean. The batter additionally captures the juices within the meat which explodes upon bites. I highly enjoyed the Fried Lobster Tails and would recommend them. <3 ❤-SaSha Elizabeth Photographersasha official . Com“
“This is a cool spot. I've been at least 2x - once alone and the more recent w/friends. Its quaint and I love the decor. I've only sat downstairs but I heard there is an upstairs section too.I had the kale salad w/chicken, it was tasty & plentyful. My friends had the chicken & dumplings and the smash burger w/fries. We also had the Cappqletti Spritz for drinks, also very tasy!“
“This is the type of place you aggressively gatekeep. Not super impressed with food I order too often but I had to leave a review immediately. The catfish might be the best in Atlanta and could be its own entree. The strawberry french toast is immaculate. If they add mac and cheese to the menu I’d be here weekly. Please give the chef their flowers.“
“There’s a couple things on the menu that could be improved, but there’s plenty more that is GOOD. Catfish, chicken/shrimp kebabs, caesar salad are all faves.Very consistent in quality and I was pleasantly surprised at the bustling yet friendly atmosphere when I came to dine in with friends. One of the best restaurants in the city for sure!“
“For me, the customer service was great, not all warm and fuzzy, but definitely came through for the surprise birthday party we planned for 120 guests. I picked up the food from the restaurant, the food was ready before my pick-up time. It was packed well, no spills and easy to transport. All the guests thought the food was delicious. I ordered the green beans, mac & cheese, yellow rice and candied yams. I will use them again.“
“Everything was amazing! The food, the staff was all great! We stayed at the hotel for 1 night just to try it out and was not disappointed at all. Keep up the good work! The breakfast potatoes I had was the best I've had in a long time. Hence i love a good breakfast “
“I give this a ??. This dinning experience was unique and very affordable. We stopped in after coming from the Balloon Museum and it was nice. Great tacos. Tasty Margaritas. Excellent customer service. They truly play read to be sure you are taken of. This is a must try restaurant. They even had very fresh guacamole. Dietary restrictions: They can accommodate dietary restrictions. Just ask.Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly.Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair friendly.“
“New in town and wanted some soul food/comfort food.I came across this small almost mom and pops spot and the food looked pleasing. I searched the address and it's located inside a Shells gas station. I ordered the rib tips,Mac and cheese and cabbage. The dinner also comes with two corn muffins. My boyfriend had the fried whiting and fries, his also came with two cornbread muffins. Everything was exceptional and fresh. The rib tips were cooked perfectly and the sauce was *chefs kiss*. Customer service was great and he explained that the menu options change during the week. We will definitely be back soon!“
“My first time visiting here from out of town. I ordered oxta and the food and service was Äwesome. The food is top notch, the real deal; and the best soul food ive tasted hands down. We had to get back home so i only got to sample it but i tell u this i didnt or rather i couldnt put it down once i started i couldnt stop.“
“The experience we had with Mr.Dameione and Magnolia BBQ far exceeded our expectations. Coming from New Orleans we are critical of food from other places....but Nola.... Magnolia BBQ gave us a run for our money. The food was wonderful. They were professional, they were set up and ready to serve before our group even arrived. They were courteous and attentive to our guest from start to finish. I would recommend this business 100 times again and again. I cant wait to party again in Atl. MAGNOLIA BBQ will always be our 1st choice.“
