“DELICIOUS!! When you order grits in a restaurant and they come out delicious—needing no salt, butter, or pepper—you know it’s a good place to eat!! All of our food was delicious. And the staff was sooo friendly! I wish I had taken a picture of our food but we scarfed it down! Definitely will eat here again!“

“The other day I placed an order through DoorDash for some beef tips w/rice, and 2 sides but my order was wrong and DoorDash refused to give me my money back. I called Big Daddy's Soul Food to let them know and Big Daddy himself made sure that I got my food fresh and hot as he had one of his employees deliver it to me. I always order from them when I don't feel like cooking and I am truly grateful for that moment. I just wanted to say thank you for the excellent service you provided!! Great customer service!!!“

“Decent, seasoned, and home cooked fell. Short ribs were really good and hearty. Chicken was well seasoned. Mac and cheese was good also. Cornbread was a little hard but I mixed it with the greens to soften it. If you are hungry, you will definitely be satisfied eating here.“

“Visited Hattie B’s today and the service was beyond my expectations. Everyone at the counter was courteous and welcoming, but I especially want to recognize Allen. “Today I had the privilege of eating and photographing at Aimer ATL.FRIED LOBSTER TAILSToday I had the experience of trying the Fried Lobster Tails, and they were delectable. These tails would be wonderful for lobster connoisseurs and even those who just do not care for it. Why? The crispy, crunch of the batter is full of flavor, delivering a full southern punch to a subtle crustacean. The batter additionally captures the juices within the meat which explodes upon bites. “This was a step up from the typical hotel restaurant. Appetizer and main courses were very well prepared. Shandi was our waitress. She was professional and had a very friendly attitude and smile. The DJ playing in the lobby chose some great tunes that we enjoyed during dinner. I recommend this restaurant.“

“Fast, cheap and tasty. A classic meat-and-three southern diner. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Excellent value for the price; you can get a square meal with a protein and lots of veggies for like $10. For maximum ambience, eat your food there and watch some Judge Judy.“

“Super yummy. Food to rave about. So so good. I got the bottomless coffee. I was in the mood for pancakes with fruit and the photos looked good on google. I got the pancakes with bananas and pecans. The syrup was hot and everything just melted in my mouth. I also ordered the shrimp and grits as it is a southern specialty. I wasn't super impressed with the dish in the past at other restaurants, but the photos looked promising. Bluebird's shrimp and grits with cheese was savory, with slightly sweet shrimp, great texture, and I loved the dish. I knew I wouldn't be able to eat it all but still wanted the experience and to try it and took the extra to go. The decor was eclectic and whimsical. I loved the atmosphere. I would definitely recommend supporting this business or bring friends here. You can't get food made like this in a chain. Glad I chose to stop here today. There is a 20% tip added to the bill so expect that when you go. I normally tip at least 20% anyway and tipped more this time.“

“My friend girl brought me to this restaurant for my birthday. I had the turkey ribs, collards, yams and Mac and cheese and the bread pudding, we even tried the fried green tomato,she had the turkey wings. OH ! My gosh the food was sooo, ( never heard of nor had a turkey ribs) it was so tender and the sauce was point on. I don't mind paying a good piece if the service and food is great. When I left this restaurant I took a picture and posted on Facebook, telling everybody I know about this fabulous time at this place and they got to try it out. The service, and my waiter was a 10 .plus“

“I've been going here since I was a child. It's always been consistent in taste. It sometimes take a little time to get your food but that's because it's always packed with people. I will continue to eat here for as long as I can. Definitely an Atlanta staple.“
