Been coming here regularly for close to a year
Food is great and hits the spot every time ? . I've had ribs, tips, fish, shrimp, and chicken. Red beans n rice and green beans are my favorite sides.
Customer service - Michael is always pleasant and makes you feel welcomed
Atmosphere - it's a take-out spot...kinda glad there's no sit-down actually, might disrupt the "formula"“

I hope to give 5 stars in the future, as my experience in the past with other Jim & Nick’s restaurants has been nothing but pleasant. This is my first time visiting this particular restaurant and unfortunately, my first time experiencing any quality issues with them.
I placed an order through doordash, ordering the brisket sandwich, Mac & cheese, and the bbq corn. I received my order in a very timely manner and was happy with that, but the same can’t be said for the quality of my food. The food was cold (surprisingly cold, I had to heat it up in the microwave for a good bit of time after I got home & I live about a block down from the restaurant) The beef brisket was rubbery, and the bread on my sandwich was very soggy & doughy. The bbq corn’s seasoning was runny and greasy. The Mac & cheese came out alright but other than that, the food was pretty subpar overall.
Again, I have always been pleased with Jim & Nicks and never experienced issues with their quality, this was a first for me. Doordash took care of the issue but I felt to post this as I was quite dissatisfied with my order.“

“Some of the absolute most delicious food I've ever had in my life and it was just luck that I came across this place. I live over an hour away, but I will be back for sure! Brisket was juicy, tender and seasoned perfectly. We didn't even use the bbq sauce it came with. The potato salad knocks all other potato salads out of the park for me and the Mac and cheese will knock your socks off.
The two people working were super kind and helpful with any questions I had. I can't wait to go back!“

“We are from New York and wanted some southern BBQ. This place was awesome the food was off the chain. I recommend any of the sides and the pulled pork. The BBQ sauce was very peppery but was soooo good. Recommend this place to anyone looking for some good food“

“Really disappointing. We used to go here when it was owned by Sam and Dave. That was a long time ago. Recent visits convinced us not to go any more. Both pork and beef dishes were primarily fat, and the potato salad was dry with weird texture around the edges. And don't get me started on the lack of cleanliness. Sitting at a booth, the wooden walls were filthy--really disgusting. No, I don't own or work at or know anyone who has a competing bbq place. Just can no longer recommend this one.“

“I ordered Eru & fufu, okra soup and Jollof rice. The eru was so good ? , I enjoyed the jollof rice & goat meat.My only complaint will be the okra that didn’t tasted fresh. They gave me a bowl of pepper & tomatoes mixed on the side to go with all my dishes. I recommend and definitely will be going back.“

“We were very pleased with our dinner. Restaurant was very clean. The Kimchi was very good with the restaurants own tofu and pork belly. Fried dumplings were awesome. The seafood pancake was excellent. The short ribs were also delicious. We tried a variety of different items and everything was very good and authentic. My wife and I are definitely going to come back and try other dishes. Service was good as well. Food came out quickly. Definitely a great place to eat.“

“We had a great lunch. You're over in this area from closing our property and decided to go out and have a nice lunch. The place was very busy and our server was very friendly, very attentive and took care of all of our needs. Plus everyone else. The food was very tasty. Came out properly quickly and all the good temperature. Our bread is refilled when we wanted tea refill when we wanted. Overall a very good experience. I had the French onion soup but it was fantastic. The ribeye was wonderful as was The Parmesan crusted chicken. This parmesan chicken was to justity by my server and she was right. It was excellent.“

“I had Flo's Filet (rare), and it was one of the best quality meat I have ever tried! Our waitress was really nice and we didn't have to wait for anything. Drinks and food was on the table very quickly. Downside is that it's a bit noisy and that you cannot reserve a table (you need to call an hour before and then you need to wait 5-10 minutes to be seated).“

“The pulled pork and turkey was so good, I didn't even need the barbque sauce. The mac n cheese was also very good and creamy. The only improvement I would like to see is garlic toast instead of a slice of untoasted white bread though.“
