“I ate here recently with some folks from church. I ordered the chicken sandwich, which was good (I might have thought this was going to have some hot sauce involved, but that's a recipe thing—the staff prepared it well!). The okra was excellent, as good as I'd make it myself or better. I have had their pulled pork and chicken here before, so I can vouch for the BBQ. It always tastes fresh, and the sauces are good.“

“I take my client out to eat twice a month and we have went to different restaurants in Acworth and she wanted some barbecue so a neighbor of mines had told me that they had a good barbecue pork sandwich but she didn't like the barbecue pulled pork,pork in the ribs was too fatty and the macaroni cheese was dry and didn't have no taste to it, only thing that was good was the fried okra and the roll ,and the Sprite at the machine it was nasty. she didn't like the coleslaw cuz it had pieces of the core all in it, so she took about four bites out of her pulled pork in a olive baked beans sell for a teaspoon of it but she said she didn't want to come back we should have asked for a refund but she said it was okay she just won't come back“

“I had Uncle C's for the first time this past weekend. The owners, a mother and son, were extremely nice and helpful. They operate out of their food truck amd the food they are putting out is amazing! We had the dark and white jerk bbq, bbq ribs, pulled pork, mac & cheese, and rice & beans. Everything was well-seasoned and tasty. The chicken and ribs were cooked to perfection and the sauce was on point. We will definitely be visiting again...soon!“

“Last week stopped by Big Shanty Smokehouse in Kennesaw, Georgia. I’ve been going here for years and always has been one of my favorite places in Georgia. Paul Holden of Willingham's World Champion BBQ recently took over as the new owner in August and excited to see what he continues to bring. He’s top notch pitmaster in the competition world but also has been in the restaurant business as well. I got the brisket which was amazing and also some of their signature Turkey ribs (Friday Special) and of course some Brunswick stew and Mac & Cheese. Everything was very good and will be back soon. “Just want to give a shout out and a great big THANK YOU to Scott's Walk-Up Bar-B-Que in Cartersville. Yesterday we were already stressing a little at work when we realized we had about 20 more guests than expected, coming to a very special, upper management, retirement luncheon. We left immediately and ran into Scott’s a few mins early for our pickup, in hopes that we could buy extra food to have enough. We told them where we were from and that we were there to pick up our order but needed to add to it if it all possible. They started looking at each other and things quickly felt a little uncomfortable, and sheer panic set in for us. We told them we had been talking to Julie and they said, “we don’t have a Juile. You must have ordered from the Scott’s in South Ga!” Dear Lord did the panic set in then!!! I said we have 70 people coming for a retirement luncheon in about 45 mins! Can you please help us??!! They asked what we needed, which included six butts with slaw, potato salad and beans and more tea. They quickly went to work and had us out of there in about 20 mins. THEY SAVED US AND WE ARE FOREVER GRATEFUL!!! And, as always, their food was amazing!! Please go support this business!! They are in Cartersville on Tennessee St. And keep them in mind if you are having an event in the area and are looking for great BBQ. They will take care of you! “Really disappointing. We used to go here when it was owned by Sam and Dave. That was a long time ago. Recent visits convinced us not to go any more. Both pork and beef dishes were primarily fat, and the potato salad was dry with weird texture around the edges. And don't get me started on the lack of cleanliness. Sitting at a booth, the wooden walls were filthy--really disgusting. No, I don't own or work at or know anyone who has a competing bbq place. Just can no longer recommend this one.“

“I love Rodney’s, the grilled catfish is so yummy. I was so sad when I hurd that they had closed the doors, I was shocked because the people of New Hope loved Rodney’s. My family had been there too many times too count, order their banana pudding for birthday’s and holidays. I had ordered food for the East Paulding football coaches and food for the team. I have never had nothing bad too eat at Rodney’s, so if you haven’t ever been go. The breakfast is awesome, and then lunch after church or Friday nights. “It's a food truck. It's hard to find good fried fish in Cobb. I ordered the fried whiting with sides of collards and rice n beans. The fish was fried and seasoned perfectly, not salty at all. The rice and beans were the best I ever had. I wonder if they sell a pint size of the rice and beans. The collards were good, too. I loved the food, a good value for the money. I will definitely stop by the next time I'm in that part of town.“

The manager, however, pretty much stood in one place next to the kitchen door, like a king surveying his kingdom.
Other Longhorns I've been to, the manager always helps the staff when so busy & walks around speaking with the customers. Not the one on Dallas Hwy. Marietta GA. He just stood in one spot.“

I ordered the parmesean chicken with asparagus and brussel sprouts.
The chicken had a nice crust. It was tender and seasoned well. The vegetables were well seasoned and a good crisp.
The server wasn't bad but I did have to repeat requests a couple times.
The restaurant was clean and tidy.
It warrants a recommendation.“
