“Stopped at Marietta Diner for dinner while passing through.

The menu is honestly a journey all by itself. Traditional diner food? Yep. Italian? Yep. Greek? Yep. Mexican? ALSO YEP.

I went Greek - Chicken Slouvaki with a salad, while my hubby went straight for the chicken parm and pasta. And obviously we couldn’t leave without dessert. 😋

The portions were huge, everything was delicious, and the whole place has that classic neon diner vibe that makes it even more fun.

I only wish this place wasn’t five hours from home because we would absolutely be regulars. This is officially a worth-the-stop spot on any road trip through the area.“

“Very inclusive menu. Amazing waitress (Carinne) and speedy service Clean appealling and friendly ambiance 4 suggestions 1. You have lovely music playing but all I hear is your kitchen staff. There’s no sound barrier. I speak Spanish but I wasn’t particularly interested in the conversation they were having. 2. Everything I had was just slightly over salted, not to the point of distasteful or inedible but you can always add salt, you can’t take it away 3. My bowl was incredibly oily. I sent it back to be drained and it was still oily and I drained it again ! After I ate there were still 2 tablespoons of Oil at the bottom of my dish. I will be back because I need your special menu. I will specifically ask for no oil and sauce on the side so I can control the salt and fat. 4. You are not on “happy cow” or any other vegan websites I use. WHY???? I look for healthy , vegan friendly places everywhere I go. I used google search and I found you but you didn’t make it super easy for vegan people to get your name“

When you can’t decide between sweet or savory, the owner offers life advice… “life is short, eat dessert first.” I could not decide what sweet treat to get but the cashier recommended one of their cinnamon rolls as that is his favorite. They were also coming out fresh just past 8am, so how could I say no? There’s cranberry-something in the middle and it tastes as magical as Christmas morning is supposed to feel. When you walk in, it just feels like a homey, family atmosphere which progresses throughout the day as local people come in and are greeted with a loving familiarity. I believe the owner was going around greeting people personally and helping customers however he could, making me and others feel warm and welcome. That just makes the food even better, ya know? For savory, I went with a sausage, egg and cheese pie and the lamb curry pie. Chips on the side are crispy and delish. There’s malt on the table if that’s your style. Both came out very hot. The lamb curry was a perfect flavor like Australian shepherd’s pie. The dough/crust of both have a unique flavor: maybe a taste of Australia. I’ve never been but I imagine that’s what it is. Authentic! Yummy yummy yummy! I got an eclair to go for my dad that I know he’s going to love. Portions are great. Definitely a fair price…All that for $22. Leave a tip in the jar. “Simply worth the drive and money. Since Covid my husband and I eat out very selectively. Most of the time restaurants are overcharging, understaffed, unclean and service is less than standard. “I wanted to leave a five-star review after a really kind experience I had here recently. I came in to pick up my pizza like usual and decided to grab one of their cookies while I was there. When I went to the front cash register to pay for it, I realized I only had tap-to-pay with me and didn’t have my wallet.

The woman working the front register asked if tap was all I had, and when I told her yes, she simply gave me the cookie for free. It may seem like a small gesture, but it genuinely stood out to me. That was a $4 cookie she absolutely didn’t have to give me, and she chose to do something kind anyway.

I really wish I had gotten her name because she deserves to be recognized for the way she treated me. The pizza is always great, but customer service like this is what really makes a place memorable. I truly appreciated the kindness, and it definitely made my day.“

“Our bookclub meets here monthly. The food has uniformly been excellent, plentiful (especially their salads), and affordable. The tomato bisque is lovely, as are their panninis, grilled veggies, and my favorite mashed potatoes. The management and staff is responsive to special needs, for example making sure our bookclub has sufficient table groupings and holding off on orders so they arrive together. You do order at the front counter, and then they bring you your food. They also clean up afterwards. The chairs and seating are a little bare bones, which is the reason for 3 stars for atmosphere, but they are clean and sufficient to the diner's needs, including both counter and standard height tables.“
