“Such a quality place! Our server Brian was a total attentive sweetheart and the Sonic 2006 busser (didn’t get his name, sorry!) was just as kind and friendly (promote him!) Started with the Giorgio salad. It was so good. Really fresh veggies and mozzarella. It had Kalamata AND green olives. Swooon!

Opted for the Detroit style and was not disappointed. They warn you that it does take slightly longer to cook than the average pie, but it is 100% worth the wait. You don’t see Detroit style around here super often and it’s what caught my eye when looking for pizza in the area. Would absolutely recommend MTH and will be back soon!“

The menu is honestly a journey all by itself. Traditional diner food? Yep. Italian? Yep. Greek? Yep. Mexican? ALSO YEP.

I went Greek - Chicken Slouvaki with a salad, while my hubby went straight for the chicken parm and pasta. And obviously we couldn’t leave without dessert. 😋

The portions were huge, everything was delicious, and the whole place has that classic neon diner vibe that makes it even more fun.

I only wish this place wasn’t five hours from home because we would absolutely be regulars. This is officially a worth-the-stop spot on any road trip through the area.“

Since it was my first visit, the staff took the time to explain the menu and share details about the offerings and the neighborhood. They provide both soft serve and vegan ice cream options. I chose the coconut soft serve in a matcha waffle cone, which was absolutely delicious! I can't wait to return for the ginger beer float—yes, you read that correctly! I plan to use the coconut ice cream for that as well.“

“Excellent food and even better service, we got the BFV tacos, BFV Jerk Chicken Philly the Cookie Butter Shake and the Matcha Lemonade. Unlike a beef Philly this one doesn’t weight you down but the flavor is all there. The tacos were great, tons of flavor and just as light as the Philly somehow.

They prove that if you season your food well it’s indistinguishable from meat and I do believe most people would try more vegan options if they tasted as good as this. You can have a great meal that doesn’t weight you down but leaves you feeling full and great. 10/10 good eats.“

I got in touch with Pokeworks Corporate and they were deeply apologetic about the experience. I really appreciated that. They also offered me a credit for the meal which is what I’d hoped the manager would have considered.

For these reasons, I’m updating this to five stars across the board. I appreciate when a company truly follows through on making things right.

If you’re ordering anything with shrimp and upon physical visual inspection, you realize that the shrimp sticks to the tongs or is unusually mushy? Do yourself a favor and order something different.

Ruined my evening with bad shrimp and even worse customer service.

When the associate was putting the shrimp in the bowl, I noticed how unusually mushy and sticky it was. Her response to me was “oh, I grabbed it too hard. That’s why.“

Cue me 10 minutes later, biting into what I thought was regular shrimp and spitting it out right after. It was watery, mushy and had no flavor.
I was genuinely concerned that the shrimp was not safe to eat.

So I made my way back to the store to let them know. I asked for a refund because I did not trust them remaking my meal with whatever shrimp they currently have that day.

The associate I spoke to texted the manager, and her response was “the issue has been acknowledged, but because you walked out with your food, there is no refund and no remake.”

You acknowledge that your shrimp is not in good condition, but you’re not going to make it right and I’m out of money and out of dinner.“

When you can’t decide between sweet or savory, the owner offers life advice… “life is short, eat dessert first.” I could not decide what sweet treat to get but the cashier recommended one of their cinnamon rolls as that is his favorite. They were also coming out fresh just past 8am, so how could I say no? There’s cranberry-something in the middle and it tastes as magical as Christmas morning is supposed to feel. When you walk in, it just feels like a homey, family atmosphere which progresses throughout the day as local people come in and are greeted with a loving familiarity. I believe the owner was going around greeting people personally and helping customers however he could, making me and others feel warm and welcome. That just makes the food even better, ya know? For savory, I went with a sausage, egg and cheese pie and the lamb curry pie. Chips on the side are crispy and delish. There’s malt on the table if that’s your style. Both came out very hot. The lamb curry was a perfect flavor like Australian shepherd’s pie. The dough/crust of both have a unique flavor: maybe a taste of Australia. I’ve never been but I imagine that’s what it is. Authentic! Yummy yummy yummy! I got an eclair to go for my dad that I know he’s going to love. Portions are great. Definitely a fair price…All that for $22. Leave a tip in the jar.
