Food was so good and excellent friendly service!
The desserts were awesome!!
Great food and friendly staff. Fried green beans and corn nuggets were delicious.
We took a ride this past weekend on the Sam short line. The train ride was amazing, we called ahead and ordered our food. Tim was extremely rude to my sister in law over the phone and was to myself as well. Then we arrive I didn’t pick up the food but when my husband arrived at the table with our food he said how rude tim had been to him as well. I had to speak with him when one of our food items wasn’t correct. Tim was once again rude, I asked him who owned the restaurant...read full review

The Buffalo Cafe at the Old Bank is a cozy spot with modern touches like a large TV and barstool window seats in an open seating area. It offers a variety of food that locals enjoy, including favorites like corn nuggets and peanut butter French silk pie, which are both delicious. The corn nuggets are crispy on the outside and have a creamed corn-like texture inside, with a salty-sweet flavor. The pie, despite melting a bit before being eaten, was rich with peanut butter and chocolate, topped with whipped cream, and very tasty. The cafe provides fast service and takes both takeout and dine-in orders, allowing diners to choose where to sit. The owner and staff are friendly, making guests feel at home with southern charm. On a recent visit, homemade chicken salad on toast was a highlight, and sides like onion rings and chicken tenders with fries were made fresh and were delicious. The layout is wheelchair accessible, and there is plenty of parking. The cafe is also known for its history, with Carter pictures hanging on the bathroom wall. While the restaurant can sometimes have long wait times on train days, calling in an order beforehand can help ensure food is ready upon arrival, though it might be cold. Overall, it’s a great place for brunch, lunch, or dinner while passing through Plains.
