B. Matthew's Eatery Reviews
One star for the hostess’s attitude. She ruined our morning by being unaccommodating, unsympathetic, and overall extremely difficult. Our server luckily was extremely nice but the hostess still made the entire experience unenjoyable. Would not return solely due to the way the hostess treated us. If you can’t be nice, don’t work as a hostess.
We came here for Sunday breakfast/brunch and holy crap! It was so good! The biscuits are worth the wait alone! The decor is so unique, you can feel the history in the walls but it’s also been updated to a modern feel. The menu choices are expansive and may cause stress on which delicious item to pick! My husband had a weekend getaway. I found B Matthew in the Savannah Insiders Guide under the best place for brunch. We started with Fried Green Tomatoes with goat cheese and remoulade sauce Delicious. Then I had the Bay Street Scramble with homemade biscuit. Brett had the lumberjack omelet. All was fresh, hot and served very quickly. We really enjoyed it. Definitely must

B. Matthew's Eatery offers a diverse and interesting menu, excellent service, and delicious food. The restaurant accommodates dietary needs and restrictions with a wide variety of options. Recommended dishes include the seasonal risotto, breakfast potatoes, fried green tomatoes, Shrimp and Grits, and Bay Street Scramble. Customers enjoy the delicious brunch offerings, including a cheese board, southern fried chicken, and sausage gravy on a biscuit. The ambience is noted as perfect, and the restaurant is praised for its great wine and cool-looking space. The three-course dinner is also recognized for its amazing presentation and taste, along with the excellent staff. The fried green tomatoes are a standout, and the risotto with shrimp is also very good. The shrimp and grits have received high praise, as have the orange blueberry biscuits, which are described as wonderful. While the gnocchi with shrimp was not well-received, the bread pudding, cheesecake, and greens salad with goat cheese were all enjoyed. Despite some seating issues, the overall dining experience is delightful, making it more than just a breakfast place.
