I’ve been coming to Olympia since I was a kid. Their entire family has always been in the restaurant ready to greet you with a smile. The food is incredible, elegant but casual atmosphere, wonderful service, and a beautiful view. 10/10.
Been to Savannah more than 7 times. This is the best restaurant on River street. Amazing food, amazing staff. Food always comes out amazing, service is amazing. You’re missing out if you have not eaten here.
We ate at the Olympia Café the Saturday before Mother’s Day. Our server added about five things onto our ticket. When we asked her to correct it, she acted annoyed then she brought it back. It was still wrong. And then when she brought it back the third time she charged us the wrong amount for some of the food, regardless we ended up paying more for the meal than we should have. Olympia is a Greek restaurant offering authentic food and atmosphere. The service is outstanding, with attentive and friendly servers, including a very tall gentleman noted as the best server ever. The owner personally checks on every table, adding a welcoming touch. The location is convenient, sitting right on the river with a great atmosphere and a casual, festive feel, where guests often shout "opa" in joy.
The food is fantastic. The chicken kabob is delicious, and the fish and chips are liked more than the kabob. The red pepper with goat cheese appetizer is incredible, and the gyros are great, with a perfect lamb-to-beef combo. The red snapper is delicate and flavorful, and the calamari has great tenderness. Lamb chops are tender, and appetizers like saganaki and Greek sausage are loved. The Greek Gyro Village Salad is sizable with fresh ingredients, and the baby octopus is marinated in vinegar, olive oil, and wine. The saganaki, a flamed Kasseri cheese with brandy, is a highlight. The lemon chicken is okay. A 20% gratuity is added for groups larger than five. The only complaint is the bathroom needs updating. Overall, it is an amazing place with great food and service.
