The Grey Reviews
I had the best dining experience of my life so far at The Grey! The food was absolutely amazing. The people were so nice! If I didn't live 1000 miles away, I'd be here all the time! Can't wait to find a reason to be in Savannah again!
I was very disappointed to the extent that I asked my meal to be taken off the bill. I am lactose intolerant. There was absolutely nothing for me to eat on the menu except for red snapper. The red snapper came out over salted. It was served with beans that were all but inedible. This restaurant does not plan for somebody with a lactose intolerance. I do not know how this restaurant could be a James Beard award winner.
Best Restaurant in Savannah. Great food attentive service and overall amazing

The Grey is a restaurant set inside a beautifully restored 1930s Greyhound bus station, which oozes charm and confidence. Known for its delicious and highly-rated food, it offers a memorable dining experience. The brunch menu has received praise for dishes such as pancakes, fish and grits, pastrami sandwich, and omelette. The food quality and quantity are very good for the $75 price tag, and the restaurant also serves excellent beef and seafood, including oysters. The dessert, honey pie, has been highlighted as incredible. The restaurant features a unique private event space, the Boiler room, which provides a top-notch experience. The bar serves remarkable cocktails, and the drinks menu is worth reading. The atmosphere is lively, with retro charm reminiscent of mid-twentieth century bus stations, and while it can get loud, the overall ambiance is great. The front bar offers a quieter alternative. Guests have noted superbly executed dishes with balanced and complex flavors, making for an excellent dining experience. Service is smooth and genuine, with soft lighting and attention to detail, creating a cozy and inviting environment. The restaurant's history, once a Jim Crow bus station and bakery, adds to its story, blending old-school elegance with modern soul. Overall, The Grey provides Savannah charm at its best, with dishes like the omelette, fried chicken with hoecakes, and duck pastrami, all prepared with pride and presentation that reflect the kitchen’s care.
