“The River Bar is a terrific lobby option at The Cloisters Sea Island. The friendly professional staff greets you at the host stand and at the bar. We enjoyed a quick burger and beer our first night at the resort. We especially loved their three appetizer bowl with pickled beans, and two bowls of peanut. The bar area also has ample tables and a gorgeous dining room with a roaring fireplace. Very posh decor.

“I had a great experience at Coastal Grill, it is kind of hard to find, hidden behind Holiday Inn. We ordered the crab cake, fish and spicy chicken tacos, pretzel, and pizza. The crab cake burger was good, and the spicy chicken taco was also pretty good but the fish taco was lacking some flavor and was kind of dry. The pretzel was also good, it comes with 2 cheese dips, and the pizza was very cheesy.?“

“While walking downtown waterfront shops, we wanted to get a beer and watch football. Nice dive bar that allows smoking (we don't) you can smell it as soon as you walk in. Bartender was nice and spot on with our beers.
Have pool tables and darts to play, left after one beer. We couldn't handle the smoke smell.“

“Vacationing decided to stop in St. Simon Island. Chose Ziggys for the variety of activities. They had a good live band. Parker Barrow. Food was okay. Nice crowd. They also had a DJ Drinks were good. Late hours. Decent parking lot. Also have VIP section. And billiards. Will visit again on our way back home.“

“The food was terrific. I got my burger cooked as I asked and the sweet potato fries were seasoned just right. My son's meal was really good too. I asked the waitress a lot of questions before ordering and she did a good job in answering. The noise made it hard to hear, but it is a sports bar so understandable. Would go back but maybe for lunch.“

“We googled good seafood on our stay in St. Simons and Jinrights popped up and we are so glad it did. Not only was the food delicious, the staff was great, and the portions were huge! They were short staffed the night we went and ended up having to close early but their staff still went above and beyond to make sure we had a good experience. The food was phenomenal. My husband and I shared the platter for 2 and had it broiled. When they ask if you want scallops and oysters, just say yes! The kids meals were good and kept them happy and bellies full. The prices are comparable to those more popular places on the island, but the food quantity does not compare!We will definitely be back next time we are in town!!“

“Ziggys is known on the Island as a great night spot for music and dancing. Now they have FOOD. They have a great variety of delicious food and it is delicious. They have 14 big screen televisions. They have over ten pool tables and some video games. It is a great place for lunch or dinner.“

“This place has GOOD Mexican food, not the Tex-Mex stuff a lot of so called Mexican restaurants serve. Sure, they need to improve something because servers come and go. You might wait. Or not wait at all. However, being originally from California, this place is more like the food I’m used to than most and the food is why I eat out.“

After waiting 55 minutes we inquired about our order and learned from the hostess there was no “cook” in the kitchen. This became apparent when we noticed only one table in the entire restaurant, both inside and outside, had food on the table. Sadly, the food we did see didn’t look particularly good either. “Pizza, salads and sandwiches are spot on from this local shroom. What is lacking is the wait staff is overwhelmed and could be better. The atmosphere is LOUD, but funky like all Mellow Mushrooms. Food is good, drinks are decent from the bar.

Parking: Parking can be difficult due to people not at the restaurant parking in the lot and going elsewhere to the pier.
