50 Best Taco Restaurants near Smyrna

“Having lived in San Antonio for a formative number of adult years, I truly believe I can spot an authentic “hole in the wall” pretty well. This taqueria is out of a gas station- but honestly, that’s where the best ones are sometimes! (I’m looking at you, NFA Burger, and you, Baba’s Gyro & Kabob).

The tacos here are as legit and authentic as they can get without being across the border- and if you love a true Mexican taco, they will serve it up perfectly with hot sauce, tomatillo, and of course plenty of cilantro y onions!! Honestly I can’t wait to go back again.

My only qualm isn’t with the store itself- it’s just the damage inflation has done. The tacos are currently (May 2026) around $4 per taco, which is CRAZY compared to my $1.25 I’d get in 2021- but again, that’s the economy, not the store. They’re absolutely worth that price; and super filling!

Also, to the (I presume owner) if you read this, I’m the gringa you asked the other day about how I found the shop- it was via Google, and I hope this review helps another lost soul find their taco craving satiated!“

“Love this place! It's a little spot, hidden in the Battery/Cumberland mall area. I have been lookin for authentic street tacos in this area that would not break the bank. Not only do they have authentic tacos at a great price, but they also have a great menu with a ton of other options. If you are in the area and tired of burgers, hit this spot!“

“This is a favorite for me and my family. Their quesadillas are to die for. Be sure to get them with all the peppers and onions. I normally call ahead and get them to go and hit up the salsa bar while I’m waiting for them to complete my order. While the beef and chicken quesadillas are delicious, venture a little bit and get the lengua - it’s really good! Don’t miss the roasted jalapeños on the top shelf of the salsa bar. When I first started going here a several years ago, I never saw another person that looked like me and I took that as a great sign. The food is authentic. The service is friendly. If you want to dine in, I can see where at times it might be a little tight, but normally when I go there, there are place there are places to sit. This place is a favorite of mine.“

“Had their truck come out on Halloween night for our HOA Community Event and the entire interaction with this business has been nothing short of amazing, and the food was so on point! “Tacos and service was great. We sat on the patio because it was very busy, it was a very hot day and it was very cramped, making it even more hot. It was very loud even on the patio. I typically like a more quiet environment, but the tacos were very good, so will just go back at a less busy time. They will validate your parking ticket from the parking garage, so that was a nice bonus.“

From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is fantastic, but what really makes this place special are the wings—juicy, crispy, and honestly the best I’ve ever had.

“I stopped by this hidden gem today and tried the burrito with carne asada with a horchata to drink. The burrito's tortilla was grilled on the outside, the steak was perfectly cooked and well marinated -- full of flavor. It came with rice and refried beans in the burrito as an fyi. Honestly it was one of the best burritos I've had in a while. The horchata was sweet and refreshing.

It was surprisingly quiet inside with only myself and two other patrons at lunch time on a Sunday. With the great food and friendly staff here I'm amazed this place isn't packed at lunch hour, but it could be that the location is a bit remote feeling. I highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area.“

“The pastor taco was delicious. The rice is dry but still good. Be prepared to order in Spanish or just point at the menu board. The cashier didn't want to speak English. I speak enough Spanish to order and converse but if you know how to say onion in English, you know the basics. I prefer to speak English but if my client is speaking the most popular language in the world and here in Atlanta, I'm going to speak it. “Yes, this is absolutely fabulous. From the moment you walk in. The beautiful pastel colors placed perfectly. Even the staff match the aesthetic.
Beautiful olive greens and dusty reds. The staff was absolutely friendly and nice as they were dressed. The plants that decorated the room also added Life to my experience.
We haven’t even gotten to the food. Presentation and quality of freshness was out of this world. The Lazy Susan at the center of the table makes you feel like you’re at home. The chips are so freshly made and the queso is fabulous. And the wide plethora of salsa choices was also quite enjoyable. Got to try the chicken tacos and the fajitas and they were both fabulous. Didn’t have a chance to snag any photos of the food presentation, but I will when I come back!“

“Today was our first time eating at Willie’s. We ate at the location on Woodward Parkway in Alpharetta, Georgia. It was very good. We both got the taco salad with ground beef and it was just it was so good. It was so very good. We both got guacamole on top of our taco salad. I wish we had gotten a separate order of guacamole because it was good. It was all very good. The managers name was Charlie. He was just a very nice man, a good manager, the people that work there seem to be very happy with their jobs, which I believe is important to the success of the restaurant. We are about 40 miles from our home so I’m not sure we will ever make it back here, but I’m going to look for a closer location because the food is just that good.“

“I found this little gem through a random google search and glad I decided to give them a try. My spouse and I went here this past Saturday for throwback R&B and Hip Hop bingo. We had such a blast!! From the security out front to the manager to our waitress...they were all amazing. We absolutely loved the vibe. They also had some really good happy hour specials including their hookah. Be mindful there is a 20% automatic gratuity added onto your check but we didn’t have an issue with that because our service was excellent. It was too bad that my spouse and I had to leave early because of getting a work call but we will definitely be back. Found a new hang out spot for the real grown folks.“
