Based on customer reviews, Taqueria El Guero Smyrna is a very homey, very delicious, and authentic taqueria. The food is authentic Mexican, with the absolute best hole-in-the-wall experience on this side of town. Customers recommend the quesadillas with all the peppers and onions, the beef and chicken quesadillas, the lengua, and the Birria tacos, which are so delicious and flavorful with a consomé that has amazing flavor. The salsa bar is a highlight, and customers should not miss the roasted jalapeños on the top shelf. There is lots of parking and lots of options. The people that work there are nice, knowledgeable, and friendly. There is no waiting staff; customers order, get their own drink, and bring the food to their own table. The place is always busy with Mexican workers and families, which is a great sign of quality. While mostly Spanish is spoken, the cashier is easy to communicate with. There are plenty of tables for a sit down.
