Mama Nell is home style cooking in a quaint little place with a simple menu. The food is homemade and tastes like it. They can find big crinkle cut fries, a huge tomato slice on a BLT, fried green tomatoes, pork chops on Wednesdays, and the best butterbeans the reviewers have ever had. The hamburger brings high praise, and the biscuit and gravy with scrambled eggs with cheese is fresh and hot. The cornmeal pancake is cute and puts a smile on a face. The tea sits right on the good side of almost being too sweet. The mini butter pound cake melts like butter, and the sour cream pound cake looks good enough to grab for the road. The homemade gravy is a favorite part of the meal. The staff are nice, smiling, friendly and the servers are awesome. The atmosphere is great and the hospitality is great. Prices are reasonable to the portion of the food you get. The place feels like eating at a good momma’s house. They will go back and can bring friends and family.
