“From the moment we arrived, the experience was exceptional. Although we were early, the hostess graciously seated us at the bar, where Lucas crafted truly magical cocktails that set the tone for the evening. Once at our table, Dakota seamlessly took over, demonstrating an impressive command of the menu and guiding us with confidence. What stood out immediately was the pace. We were never rushed, a rarity in today’s dining scene, and were able to fully enjoy each course as it arrived. The homemade bread was the perfect introduction, followed by appetizers that were nothing short of extraordinary. After a relaxed pause, our entrées were served, perfectly prepared and generously portioned. Just when we thought the evening couldn’t improve, the tiramisu arrived. It was easily the most melt-in-your-mouth version imaginable and the ideal ending to an already remarkable meal. Overall, it was a cozy, refined, and thoroughly relaxing dining experience featuring some of the finest Italian cuisine available. What the team didn’t know is that I grew up in a family that owned two Italian restaurants. Compliments from me are earned, not given lightly, and this establishment has unquestionably earned them.“

“What an amazing place! John T Edge put me on this place and it’s absolutely incredible. The place is smaller so make a reservation. From the minute you walk in, you can tell this place is special. They have some outdoor seating that resembles a European cafe but the best place to me is in the room with the kitchen. The smells, the ambiance, the decor all make for a wonderful vibe.

Their menu is small but boy does it pack a punch! I got the spicy vodka pasta and my wife got the one with spinach and mushrooms and I honestly don’t know which was better. They were both perfect! Then we all split a tiramisu and outside of Italy, it was one of the best that I’ve ever had.

“This was our first time here. We were traveling and just saw it and went inside . They were packed so we figured the food was good. Wow you weren’t kidding! I ordered tomato soup and shared some of my husband’s chicken parmesan. They brought us delicious garlic bread and served it with some kind of sauce. Food and service was excellent.“

I cannot emphasize enough the great pastry chef and dessert menu. Loved everything I got here. The shrimp scampi was cooked perfectly - it tasted like lobster with how soft it was with the expected crunch.

“The reviews were positive and we were hungry, so we decided to give Fresca a try. To say we were blown away is an understatement. We didn’t expect a lot from a shopping center restaurant on Rockbridge Road, if I’m honest… and we were delighted to be proven wrong. My “Bees Knees” cocktail was delicious. My salad was a cut above— fresh greens, yummy bits of roasted peppers throughout, lightly dressed with a homemade vinaigrette. My husband’s salmon and my Peche pizza were absolutely on point; both entrees were creative and unique— and SO GOOD!! Topped off by house made watermelon sorbet, we were pretty much in heaven by the time we finished our meal. Can’t recommend enough!!“

“This is our go-to brunch spot for Virginia Highlands. Love love love the veggie benedict, french toast and bottomless mimosas! Osteria is a neighborhood establishment and we've been going here for over 20 years. Our kids were raised going to weekly dinner here and still obsess over the kids mac and cheese even though they're grown. The brunch is a great addition. The owner does a lot for the neighborhood.“

“It had been quite a while since my last visit to Olive Garden, and this was my first time dining at this location. I was invited to a birthday lunch, and it was nice to know that they still offer a complimentary birthday dessert, which was a thoughtful touch.

The staff were friendly and provided good service. The restaurant was not crowded, likely because I visited during the middle of a weekday.

I came to know that the restaurant now follows a policy of serving food within a specified timeframe for each course. The overall dining experience felt different from what I remembered. In particular, the taste and quality of the food seemed different from my previous visits.“

“Yesterday I was on my way to visit my mother who's been battling stage four cancer in the hospital and called in an order of the chicken gnocchi soup, its something she's requested often in the past few months. I explained she couldn't swallow very well and asked if there was a way to just give her the broth and they said they would see what they could do.
When I got there I was surprised to see a pint of the soup waiting at the counter for pick up. When I went to pay they said it was already paid for. I cried at their kindness and just wanted to say thank you. She used to work for the company until her cancer made it too hard for her which was sad because she loved it there. She passed today at 9:12am but im grateful that I was able to at least try to give her one last bowl.“

“I love this local spot. Most everyone at the bar knows one another. Kind of like “Cheers” with a twang. I shouldn’t be reviewing it because I don’t want it to get more crowded 🤣 I love the bar side. The food is always consistent. I love that you can get one slice of pizza! But my favorite is the BLT. They really make a good BLT. The prices are the best around. The bartender is always busy but not so busy that you have to wait. Watching her and how hard she works is a small wonder. This place is my go to if I don’t feel like cooking. They have a good beer selection and give you a huge pour of wine. Ya’ll know I’ll be going back. Probably next week!“

Just got seated, and the waitress brought our drinks to the table without us having spoken. “Former Victory sandwich shop, transformed into a nice Italian bistro. Shortish menu but very well prepared food at very reasonable prices: possibly the best dinner value in downtown Decatur. Interesting, fun drinks menu, too, including house made Italian-inspired sodas. Our server, Nichole, was superb.“
