We were never rushed, a rarity in today’s dining scene, and were able to fully enjoy each course as it arrived. The homemade bread was the perfect introduction, followed by appetizers that were nothing short of extraordinary. After a relaxed pause, our entrées were served, perfectly prepared and generously portioned. Just when we thought the evening couldn’t improve, the tiramisu arrived. It was easily the most melt-in-your-mouth version imaginable and the ideal ending to an already remarkable meal. “This was our first time here. We were traveling and just saw it and went inside . They were packed so we figured the food was good. Wow you weren’t kidding! I ordered tomato soup and shared some of my husband’s chicken parmesan. They brought us delicious garlic bread and served it with some kind of sauce. Food and service was excellent.“

I don't remember the winner, but it should've been the fluffily delicious, olive oily, round of focaccia served with a smear of fresh butter and various salts from Saint Cecilia's. “This is our go-to brunch spot for Virginia Highlands. Love love love the veggie benedict, french toast and bottomless mimosas! Osteria is a neighborhood establishment and we've been going here for over 20 years. Our kids were raised going to weekly dinner here and still obsess over the kids mac and cheese even though they're grown. The brunch is a great addition. The owner does a lot for the neighborhood.“

“The manger Andre went above and beyond for my family and I. I came in this Sunday for a birthday dinner. Our server while great was a bit backed up on tables and Andre made sure we were taken care of. Upon walking by he seen we didn't have any plates or bread. He stopped and brought us back plates and fresh bread. My stepdad had an issue with his meal and not only did Andre comp his meal and made it fresh, he took off our appetizers and brought us a free dessert. We are very satisfied and will be back because of him.“

“I ordered catering this Friday and the food was amazing. Everything was so fresh and I did not feel heavy after eating it. The salad was crisp, and there was a homemade vinaigrette that came with it. The chicken Parmesan was HUGE, he used chicken breast to make it. The chicken breast was moist and flavorful. He said he uses unbleached flour and not preservatives! All fresh and whole ingredients is what he is passionate about. Our server shared with us the special pizza for the day and we knew we wanted a pizza and a pasta. I could tell by the photos online it was home made pasta so we had to try it!
To my disappointment, he said go with the spaghetti and meatballs. Don’t get me wrong…I love spaghetti and meatballs but I make that at home. I asked him more than once if he was SURE 🤣 and he said trust me. So we got the pizza special…four cheese, ham, spicy salami (very spicy!) and a little basil. Well, it was the BEST spaghetti and meatballs I’ve ever had and the pizza was just what we were hoping for! Fresh, delicious, soft and thin. Everything was fresh and oh so yummy! Then he asked about wine…8”I wasn’t going to, but I asked what he recommended based on our order, and let me tell you:::DELICIOUS! And then…the bill…it was so much less than they could charge! Very inexpensive. Do yourself a favor and go here!“

Everything was excellent except the artichoke spinach dip appetizer.

The dip has changed. It’s not cheesy like before.
The spinach was extremely salty and impossible to eat.
The dip was bitter even with the breadsticks.
Pita chips were hard like croutons and burnt.
Asked for replacement.
Even the replacement was burnt.
Bring back the old dip. It was perfect and did not need changes.

The pasta was excellent.
Cold plates for salad was a plus! Never had that before at any Olive Garden.

Olive garden has gotten so much better with the variety they offer.

Hope they bring back the veggie topping option for meat alternatives on pastas.“
