6 Best Craft Breweries near Woodstock

Reformation Brewery (Woodstock) Brewery • $$
105 Elm St, Woodstock

“For visitors popping by the Atlanta region, this is a true hole in the wall spot an hour north of the city.

Lindsay and the crew were a sweet bunch to be seen. Especially when I mentioned I was coming from out of state to check out this place! Particularly after partying too hard during my visit in Atlanta proper I was impressed by the beer selection for someone trying to lay back on the fun (even though it was quite small) yet less is better in my opinion.

Their Mexican lager and IPA was much more elevated than similar craft beers I've had (and had more taste than your typical grocery store beers).

Can't wait to return here when another trip to ATL is in the pipeline.“

Jekyll Brewing Brewery •

“Our meal started out great! Good drinks, the oysters were delicious, as was the crab dip. The meal went downhill with the entrees. My wife got the shrimp and grits and it was like a soup, the grits were just drowning in a soup broth, and it was bland. I had the steak, while the flavors were good, the potatoes were hard and undercooked and the steak was overcooked. I requested medium rare and got well done. The restaurant itself is very nice, has a great atmosphere, good craft beers and drinks. We'll probably be back, just will try something else for our entrees next time.“

“Nice spot for Reformation! Had two beers while here; a Mexican lager and an Oktoberfest, both were solid for their style. The beer is enjoyable but not quite 5-stars, which largely dictates my reviews of breweries. The space itself is very nice but feels a bit cold and industrial compared to the Woodstock location. I gave Woodstock 5-stars because the space is that nice even though it’s the same beer. Outside of that, staff were friendly and attentive with good music playing. The only true cons that didn’t change my star rating are that the men’s room smelled like urine mixed with industrial cleaner and stickers costing $3. Overall, solid brewery in a nice complex that provides a good amount of food options and plenty of parking.“

“Enjoyable brewery! I love the vibe of the place, and the staff were very friendly. The one negative was that they only had a home-brewed IPA available, and it was in a can. I also had a cider that was brewed in-house and available on-tap. Both were tasty for their style. I’d give this place 5-stars for the vibe, but with such few in-house options I gotta drop it down a star. I’m glad I checked it out, but can find guest taps elsewhere as that’s the majority of their selection..at least at the moment.“
