“Pros: efficient reuse of an older storefront, with plenty of seating on two levels; a private parking lot with relatively more spots than most breweries in this part of town; their heavily fruited smoothie sours are a rich, rare treat on the islands. Cons: pretty dull on a Friday evening, with no music and limited activity; weird that they insisted on table service while the bar was light; limited beer options overall.“
“Amazing Omikase experience! A friend and I did the sake pairing as well. Heavy pours and amazing quality sake. We both requested to not have any fruit sake samples so the host had other options to try, some which were made by friends back in Japan! I would recommend to any sake lover who also wants to have a great meal!“
“Self serve counter for beer and an extensive Poke' selection. Location is outdoors but it is Hawaii with good weather. Music was low and so were the conversations. Ordered three different Poke', all arrived quickly and all were very tasty. Crew was attentive to backed up people waiting to order while people were tasting, every time that occurred, another employee would quickly assist at the counter to keep things moving.“
“Don't understand why this restaurant doesn't have big trays to bring everything out at once. Ordered three dishes, all came separate. We didn't get plates, napkins or utensils until everything was on the table. Food was good, server was nice, just not practical.“
“Thanks to the General Manager who helped me find a parking spot. :)Had a really good time there with my family. Fantastic selection of home made drafts. Personal favorite was 'Snap To It' . Food was excellent and came out seconds after it was ready. Prime Rib sandwich was top notch and the fries were amazing. This will be one of our regular spots every time we come back.“
“They have a new brewer (2023), so older opinions are unclear. I really enjoyed the beer - the new guy is going to do great. For now, no cans to go, limited merchandise, and the brewery taproom is basically a garage door in a parking lot (with plenty of parking, though). Promising, but probably most suitable to enthusiasts.“
“The only cider company in Hawaii, so you'll probably see it a lot around the island served alongside local beers. Most are apple-based, but with local fruit added to differentiate. The source is a relatively small spot in a strip mall, but with a relaxed vibe, wide bar selection, and an on-site food truck. Best place to get a 6-pack to go, too.“
“Hana Koa was great as always. Really glad I made a reservation for this date because it was especially crowded (I forgot it was Song Contest night and they are right down the street from Blaisdell). Traffic was really bad but luckily they saved my reservation even though I was a little later than the 15 minute grace period. I was seated immediately and greeted with a smile by the hostesses and my server Calvin (who is always the best!). The beers were awesome and I will definitely be back.“
“If you are visiting the big island, this is definitely a place to stop at and try. I got the pork tacos and chicken and rice and they were both the best food I have tried yet. The beer samples were good, especially the passion fruit one. I recommend trying this place at least once while you visit.“
“Very attentive and friendly service. Christmas Eve early dinner with senior citizens. lol. “We plates” were perfect to share. We had the kalbi, cheese pork Katsu, mandoo, lechon, Korean fried chicken and fried saimin. All freshly prepared and well seasoned. Beer selections were interesting!“
